Chapter 73
Hong Kong, China. One of the most incredible cities I ever had seen!
It was no fun to follow the schedule of SHINee. It was pure, hard work with a lot of complications.
After we had arrived at the airport the boys had their first date. A photo shot. That was the most relaxing part of the day. While the boys were doing their job I did the things that were listed on the paper Manager-oppa had given to me. I had to do a lot of phone calls. I should ask if the dates were still right and things like that. From time to time the manager explained more and more details of his job to me and when one of the boys had some free time they wanted to talk to me or play a game with me. Like I said it was hard work but I was thankful for it. So I couldn't think about the text I got before the flight to Hong Kong. That was just once the case. I was daydreaming because there were 5 free minutes for me and then the thoughts suddenly appeared. Luckily Onew disturbed my break.
Late in the evening were reached our hotel, one of those unbelievable luxury ones. I worried about the clothes I took with me. The hotel looked like you only could wear a tuxedo or a dress to not conspicuous. When I asked Taemin about the clothes he had in his suitcase I was happy that he had normal things in it like me –well, I took the better clothes of mine with me and I had even bought me a white blouse.
Then the next problem appeared. The reception did mistakes with reserving rooms for us. We needed five rooms –three for SHINee, one for me and one or the manager- but there were only three left. I was happy that manager-oppa tried to handle the situation and discussed with the man at the computer who seemed to feel really uncomfortably.
"There is no other way. I'm really sorry but we really have only three rooms left", finally, after an hour of waiting, the director of the hotel told us. "I promise you that this won't ever happen again. You can drink and eat for free the days you will stay here and the first two rooms that will be free are for you. I'm really sorry." I don't remember how often he bowed down to us.
"Okay, we have to change the plan. Any suggestions for the division of the rooms?", Manager-oppa asked totally angry and tired.
The challenge was that we had three rooms for seven people.
"I think it's best if Taemin or Key share their room with Ute-Daesang." I was totally surprised that the manager suggested something like that.
"Can you tell me why Key? I understand Taemin –because he is immature and doesn't think that way- but Key?", Jonghyun said and I just rolled my eyes while Minho couldn't while his smile, Onew first didn't get what he was talking about and Key was surprised, too. I had never seeing the manager blush before.
"Because I…" Somehow I already knew the answer. Key was, let's say the truth, feminine.
"I think we should let Daesang choose her roommate", he manager quickly continued. I chose Taemin, not because he didn't think that way, but because he was my best friend and I was most familiar with him. The other rooms were divided like this: Key, Jonghyun and Minho, and Onew with Manager-oppa.
Before we wanted to meet for dinner in the hotel restaurant we went to our rooms.
The room was really wide. A sofa, flat screen, a huge bathroom with a tropical shower and a big bed. Yes, one bed. I had to sigh when I saw it. Though it looked absolutely comfortable and was really big I would have to share it with Taemin. Somehow the thought, that I would share it with my best friend, felt strange.
Taemin and I got ready for dinner and about an hour later we stood at the entrance of the restaurant, waiting for the others. I was just reading a text from Heechul who said he would be jealous that SHINee would have me for three weeks with them when Key came from behind me and started tickling me.
"Man, can you tell me why you do that right now?", I asked him.
"I just felt like that", he said for excuse and grinned at me.
Boys.
The dinner was nice. I really enjoyed it though I first feared that I would eat nothing of the food because I hated extraordinary meals but it was delicious.
Sometimes I noticed Key watching me.
"You wanna tell me why you are staring at me?", I asked him finally because he got on my nerves.
"I'm just waiting for your cell phone to ring", he said which totally confused me.
"What?"
"I know that you are writing with Heechul and I know that he is one of those persons who write immediately back and get angry if you don't right back in time." I laughed.
"Well, first, did you hear about a function of a cell phone which makes it mute? And second, he knows that we are having dinner right now and that he has to wait till I finished eating. I'm one of the rare persons who needn't write immediately back to avoid the anger of Heechul. He knows that if I don't write back in time I have something important to do, like making a good impression at my practical training."
"You wanna tell me that he won't be mad at you if you don't write back immediately!" Key was totally surprised. "I thought he wouldn't make exceptions!"
I grinned.
"Well that's the advantage I have."
