Bed Ridden

Jealousy Overload

Boy did it for you to have to stay in bed for a whole week.

Some people would say you were crazy for not wanting to be lazy for a whole week not having to do anything but it was your hell.

The urge to push yourself out of the bed sheets was more than just tempting. You had actually tried it once thinking no one would notice but you just happened to have the worst timing in history.

The second your foot made contact with the wood paneled floor boards of your room, Kris just had to come in.

The look on his face when you were caught.

You had never seen such a facial expression on him that it was like a silent and deadly command to go back to your bed.

You never tried again.

3 days into your ultimate boredom and hellish bed, people had been coming in to visit you often just to keep you company cause they all knew how you felt about being bed ridden. But as much as you appreciated their efforts to keep you entertained, there was only so much you could do in a few days before it just became routine.

"Noona...?"

You were taking a nap at that time before you heard the soft voice of a little boy at your door.

"Mmmm.." You groaned and stretched letting the light of the afternoon reach your eyelids for the first time that day. Blinking a few times, you turned your head to the voice of the little boy. Or not so little boy.

"Tao? What are you doing here?? You have practice right? And Lost Planet's tonight! What are you doing?! It's not even your turn to visit!"

"I know, but Chinji noona asked me to check on you for her cause her and Luhan went on a date."

"Tch. Always leaving me for Luhan now, it's like I'm not even her best friend anymore." You threw a silent tantrum and crossed your arms, "So irritating."

"Aww, come on noona, let them bond." Tao grinned and you couldn't help but let out a little chuckle.

You stretched your arms out a little and pulled the covers off your body, tossing your legs over one side of the bed.

"NOONA! Where do you think you're going?!"

"To stretch out my legs? I'm walking around my bed you child. I don't need supervision." You rolled your eyes and took a few steps forward, but Tao grabbed your wrist lightly.

"Noona. If they find out, you're dead." And when he said they, you knew he was talking about Kris, Luhan, and Lay.

"Well I don't see how they'll find out, right Tao?" You winked at him and continued to walk knowing you had a soft spot on Tao.

"Crazy...." Tao mumbled.

"But you love me." You threw up a peace sign and an eye smile and you knew you had Tao wrapped around your pinky.

"I brought you Chinese food for lunch." He turned around to the table in your room and brought it back to your bed. He patted the mattress and you knew your exercise was over.

Tao was younger but definitely stronger, and opposition just wasn't an option to him sometimes.

You climbed back into the bed and took the chopsticks and takeout.

"Howsh practish?" You mumbled with orange chicken hanging from your lips.

"Pretty good I guess, we're just trying to manage and get everything together for the time being."

"Ahh, I see." You gulped down a cup of water and continued eating.

"How's the other noonas?"

"They came to visit me yesterday, but as far as I know, everyone seems to be enjoying the break. I mean who wouldn't when all we ever do is practice and live in the SM Building right?"

Tao sighed deeply.

"What's wrong?"

"Everyones exhausted noona, were drained and its hard to even manage to wake up each morning when were all sore and sleepy. Kim Youngmin won't give us a break, and the only place we've been outside of the practice rooms is here. You're our only break so I'm sorry if we come too often or seem to happy to be here when you're in this state."

You blinked and stopped eating your food. You faced him with a creased forehead.

"I've never thought about it that way, and I really do enjoy the fact that you guys come and are all smiles every time but I didn't know that was the situation."

It suddenly crossed your mind that maybe the reason they came to your house to visit was to get away from work, and that was understandable, but to the extent that Tao described, that was different.

"You should never apologize to me for that okay? Come as often as you want! You're the only people I see anyway, other than the occasional random visitor here or there. It just for me that I can't go anywhere."

"Trust me, we have that more in common than you think."

You pouted and looked at Tao carefully. He always had dark bags under his eyes but you never took a good look at him since he came, and you realized they were more prominent than before.

"Go to my bathroom and open the mirror cabinet on the far left, on the top shelf theres a small glass vial with a green paste looking thing, bring it here."

When he came back, you uncapped the vial and spread the paste on your hands.

"Take off your shirt."

Tao's eyes widened and the shock written on his face only made your burst out into laughter, "Just trust me would you??"

He skeptically began to take off his shirt and when he finally did, you told him to turn around, his back facing you.

You spread the cream over his shoulder and all over his back, giving him a back massage in the process.

"Whoa, it tingles."

"Yeah I know, I made it."

"Chincha?!"

"Mhmm, I found a good combination of herbs and roots that a halmoni told me of when I visited this neighborhood a couple of months ago, I turned it into a cream and it's honestly my holy grail after practices. But take this with you when you leave for the others alright?, use it before your performance tonight, all of you, and I better be seeing you guys dance harder because of it, alright?"

Tao turned his head briefly with a large smile. Once you finished, you tapped his back,

"You might want to take a small nap here for a bit, I know you're tired, and the medication only makes it easier to fall asleep."

Tao's eyes were already drooping by the time you finished, and he obeyed like a little kid. Cuddled up in your blankets, he knocked out in a snap.

Now was your chance.

You leaped out of the bed silently and softly and sneaked your way out of your room.

It felt soo weird to see your house outside of your room after three days. When you said you were confined, it literally was confinement to the point where it felt like a jail cell.

They came in to bring you food, and that's how you ate. You never had to get yourself a glass of water because they restocked a pack of water bottles in your room after each day. It irritated you that they made it so that you had no reason to leave your room, but you had plenty.

You needed to see something else other than the walls of your room and bathroom, or else you might have gone mad.

Walking through the halls of your house, you walked slowly taking in the moment. 3 days felt like forever of just being stuck in your room. You wouldn't get this chance in awhile.

You quickened your step in excitement and hurried down the stairs, sliding on the arm rail instead of actually taking the steps, you felt like doing something dangerous for once.

You decided on getting some fresh air, but as you were about to enter the kitchen to go to your backyard, the front door clicked open.

.

You froze like bambi and slowly turned around and met eyes with....

"Yejin?"

"Baek?...." You gave him a guilty smile while he only blinked in slight surprise.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting fresh air?"

"Alright, i'll come with you."

You straightened your back and cocked your head to one side, "You're not going to yell at me for not being in my bed, or my room?"

"No? Why would I?"

"Cause everyones been on my about it and I thought you would be too."

"I know you Jin.. You can't sit still for a minute." He shrugged and walked towards you.

It was simple sentences like that, that brought you back to your favorite memories. The ones that had him in it. The nostalgia hit you like a train and your smile faltered.

You turned your back away from him quickly hoping he didn't see it, and walked towards your back door with him trailing close behind.

"Does it hurt?" He spoke softly and you wondered why he seemed like he was almost whispering.

You shrugged off the thought, "Not as much anymore, I guess the immobility is actually  kinda helping, but I mean, I still miss moving and practicing and dancing, and just doing things."

"I know, I had a feeling you'd be sneaking out sometime soon." He chuckled and his voice still sounded like heaven to your ears.

You walked out of the house and closed your eyes. Taking in a deep breath, a small smile formed on your lips. The fresh breeze mixed with lilacs and chamomile wafted through your nostrils giving you a sensation you didn't realized you missed so much until a tear fell from the corner of your eyes.

It was a happy tear. Emotions were suddenly running high for you, being in this very moment with Baekhyun by your side.

"I haven't been back here in almost a year."

Everything seemed like a soft memory only starting to become vivid again.

Your cherry blossom tree still standing tall and proud but lightly losing its petals from the coming cold weather, the flowers starting to lose its color, the leaves turning red and brown.

"Your favorite season is coming up." Baekhyun was suddenly by your side as he wiped the tear away.

You nodded and took the moment to let silence take over. This moment couldn't be anymore perfect.

You walked towards your tree and Baekhyun followed.

You sat down in the sea of fallen pink petals and Baek sat beside you, obedient like a puppy. His silence and presence helped somehow. He understood you probably more than anyone, knowing when you needed to hear his voice and when you just wanted to appreciate his company.

You suddenly felt a little bold, a new sense of courage filling you after being able to clear your thoughts and mind of the stuffy air in your room.

"Do you miss us?"

"Always."

You blinked in surprise from his immediate and sure answer.

His soft voice began once more, "But I know it's just not our time right now, and maybe when things clear up again, we can try again. But no matter what, together or not, you'll always have me, Yejin. I need you to know and understand that. I'm going to grow up from continuously crying over the fact that there are things you can't know right now and having you silently hate me for it. But in our situation, time just wasn't on our side in the end. But I'm not going anywhere. I guess I just need the time to mature and fix myself to be better for you in the future because I've made mistakes. And I'm willing to accept the responsibility for it and fix it when I can. I just need you to move on with your life, and live it the way you need and want to without me always dragging you down like an anchor. You deserve better, so I'm going to be better."

You were left speechless. You weren't expecting a full on explanation and speech but his words echoed through your mind. You had no reply whatsoever. They sunk in deep into your mind. And your heart.

You wanted to cry, but you couldn't. You wanted to hug him, but you couldn't. If he was willing to become better for you and grow and mature, you were going to do the same despite the circumstances.

He turned away from you and sighed, but it wasn't a sad sigh, it was a relieved sigh as if everything he had been wanting to say, had finally been said.

You also knew him just as much as he knew you, and at that moment you knew he wasn't expecting a reply or any words at all, but just for you to hear him say it was enough.

And that was the end of that conversation.

"Why are you whispering?"

"Lost Planet tonight, and I've been noticing my voice is starting to sound raspy, and I think I'm losing it. I might be getting sick."

You shook your head truly depressed at the thought of your boys getting sick from over work.

"Come on," You stood up and offered him a hand, he took it gently, but with a confused expression.

"Where to?"

"I'm making you my famous tea! Cures vocal raspiness and over work." You smiled gently and tugged him along.

"You mean Chinji's tea?"

"Aish, can't you just let me help you for once?!"

"I'm just saying." He shrugged, "She's the singer so I mean, she made it to cure her own sore throat, didn't she invent that tea? I think I had some before and it works miracles. She should sell it."

"Yeah she made it, but if she sold it to the public then it wouldn't be as special and homemade as it is now." You smiled back making your way to the kitchen.

"True, but I'm telling Chinji you tried to take credit for her own tea!"

"Aish, I only said it cause I knew you knew I didn't make it." You rolled your eyes playfully at him and he chuckled softly in response.

"Pssh, alright, whatever you say." His eye smile made an attack at your heart strings again and you couldn't help but grin at his childish tactics and cute self.

"Oh shut up would you?"

I AM SO SORRY FOR THE HIATUS.

I lost inspiration and kinda got sad after that whole Baekhyun and Taeyeon thing.

I wasn't actually sure if I was up to write more again, but i just found a new motivation.

I'm not saying that I will be writing often because junior year just started and it's the most important year for me, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm back to writing again! I hope you can bear with the slightly slow updates but I am back and here to remind you that this story is in fact almost over and I am working on a new story for you guys so don't worry!

<3<3<3 I'm super sorry again but I am continuing with the story as if nothingwrong ever happened with EXO.

I'm going to keep writing as if Kris is still there. As if Baekhyun and Taeyeon never happened in real life. And is if nothing is wrong at all

<3 I thank you soooo much.

Chapter 75: Same here:((( other than cover up for his underage drinking, it's also to subside any news from Kris's situation. Honestly, it's very disrespectful to use someone's relationship like that. I find that totally absurd.... I am very disappointed.
Dirty SM playing dirty tricks...
