1000 years ago, a prophet named Ye Nolae foretold a prophecy on the day the eclipse happened. On her vision, she saw 12 men with marks on their bodies surrounding a girl as if they were protecting her. Ye Nolae saw an evil mist taking over the world. But suddenly, the girl unleashed her power and the 12 men fought beside her. Light began to fill the atmosphere and the feeling became serene. Ye Nolae decided to write everything in a book entitled "Two Moons." 

Later on, 12 individuals came insight. They had the marks on their body; a triangle, a teardrop, a unicorn etc. They aren't like normal humans for they didn't age and they had extraordinary powers. But the girl in the vision was nowhere. Ye Nolae told them everything they need to know; from their duty to the maiden up to saving the world. 

Ye Nolae tried to finish the book by looking into the future but it cost her, her life. She died for using too much of her power. Nonetheless, she managed to seal it off from Darkness' hands.

The 12 individuals decided to live on and wait for the maiden. But it was not easy for them. Pain and hardship came hand in hand. Darkness managed to poison their minds and hearts. They couldn't bear it any longer. Some of them decided to blame the Maiden for their sufferings.

"Why do we need to protect her when she's the one who will destroy us?!"

"It's our duty. Our life was made for her."

"Shut up! All of this just to save those humans?! They live in their filthy ways while we sacrifice our lives for them!"

"I can't bear with this anymore... Let's just divide. Protect her or kill her, you decide."
