Happy Nayeon Day

ONESHOT TWICE

Nayeon didn't like to celebrate her birthdays because she got older every year.

She loved being an adult child, she loved when each of the members pampered her and took care of her.

She just loved it when Mina or Dahyun talked about her in an affectionate tone, “our bunny is so cute.”

Nayeon wanted to remain cute for a very long time.

The birthday was approaching.

This year she should turn 30 years old.

So much, and she spent half of her life on stage with the girls.

Nayeon immediately before her month wrote in a chat for the whole “gang”:

- Don’t cook anything for me, let’s just sit at home, eat delicious food and watch a movie.

Of course, the “gang” agreed with her plan, but Nayeon had a feeling that they were up to something. This was especially evident in Mina's refusal, Sana, DaHyun and Chaeyoung immediately averting their eyes from her and citing "work" to avoid her.

Momo immediately said when Nayeon tried to get something out of her:

- Please don't torture me, I want to keep this a secret.

Jeongyeon smiled mysteriously:

- You'll like it. Everything as you like.

JiHyo sighed, placing a hand on her shoulder and quietly said:

- It definitely wasn’t my idea, unnie.

Tzuyu always “I’m on your side, unnie” shrugged her shoulders, shyly looking away, and said:

- I tried to dissuade them, unnie, but... sorry...

Her birthday was approaching.

The closer the 22nd approached, the members remained silent, hinting only with smiles and the words “you will be delighted.”

The thrown phrase from Sana on the eve of the 22nd was completely confusing and put all Nayeon’s speculations at a dead end:

- We drew lots and it’s a pity that it’s not me, unnie.

What was the “lot” and why does Sana regret that it wasn’t her?

**

On the morning of September 22, Nayeon opened her eyes, looked at the ceiling, stretched out, and listened. Her apartment is still as quiet and lonely as always for 3 years now. She sat up in bed, still not wanting to get out of the warm bed, but realizing that soon someone would definitely call her. Sighing, Nayeon swung her legs over the bed, reached for a robe with a picture of a bunny on the chest, threw it on herself, put on slippers also with a bunny, and slowly left the bedroom. You need to cook something, eat, get yourself in order, and then accept everyone’s congratulations.

Before reaching Nayeon’s kitchen, she suddenly stopped, deeply inhaling the aroma of coffee mixed with something else. A pleasant morning melody sounded in the kitchen, a soft voice sang songs on the radio. Nayeon curiously looked inside the kitchen, the most tender smile blooming on her lips when she saw Dahyun's dancing back.

- Dahhyunie, - she sang sweetly to the beat of the song, going inside and sitting on a chair.

- Happy birthday to you, my beloved bunny,- Dahyun sang with the same tone, turning around with a smile and putting a cup of hot coffee on the table. Then she came up to her from behind and hugged her, kissing her deliciously on the cheek, leaving a trace of red lipstick there. Satisfied with the result, DaHyun returned to the stove, where a quick breakfast (pancakes) was being prepared, and said:

-Have you checked your phone, unnie?

- No. And what's in there? – Out of habit, I reached for my pocket, not finding my phone there, I remembered that it was lying on the nightstand near the bed.

- We have two days off. Gift from PD -nim. So even if we drink today, we can sleep off tomorrow - Dahyun let out a laugh and turned to Nayeon again, placing several pancakes with chocolate chips sprinkled on top and one candle in the middle in front of her face. “Blow out and make a wish,” the look was filled with tenderness when Nayeon, showing her childish animation, began to blow out the candle.

- Dahhyunie, I’ve become one year older, - Nayeon whined pitifully, involuntarily showing her aegyo, melting the girl’s already melted heart.

- You’re still just as sweet, unnie, - as if sensing that they wanted to hear from her, Dahyun answered, receiving the brightest morning smile with crescent-moon eyes.

The doorbell rang, Nayeon looked back in surprise, then back at Dahyun, who was starting to get ready:

- See you in the evening, Nayeon-unnie, - she kissed her temple softly and went to open the next participant who would give the “gift.”

Nayeon, with a pancake in her teeth, trudged behind, peering curiously from behind Dahyun, looking at Chaeyoung, who was holding a bouquet of flowers in front of her with a happy smile on her lips.

- Happy birthday to you, Nayeon-unnie, - handing her flowers, said goodbye to Dahyun, and crossed the threshold.

- Oh, thank you, Chaeng, - pulling the bouquet towards her, she inhaled the enchanting aroma of flowers. -Have you had breakfast? Dubu prepared a very tasty breakfast.

- I would love to have a cup of coffee, but I came here to take you for a walk.

- Where?

- To the place where I want to give you my gift. I'll wait for you, get ready.

- Chengi, how should I dress? – Nayeon asked loudly, returning to the bedroom, leaving the doors ajar to hear the “little beast” answer.

- Any clothes will do, unnie, - Chaeyoung responded, taking one of the pancakes and throwing it into .

- Any, hmm, well, then I’ll dress like this, - Nayeon thought, taking out black trousers from the wardrobe, a wide T-shirt with a cartoon bunny on the chest, and the inscription “I love carrots” on the back, and a black vest on top. Surprisingly, today promised to be a warm summer day, Nayeon checked the weather a lot (constantly) for her birthday.

- Unnie, you’re so beautiful, - Chaeyoung exclaimed, seeing her older friend dressed in the kitchen doorway (she was silently touched when she saw the cute T-shirt).

- Do you like it? – she spun around, hearing enthusiastic shouts from Chaeyoung in response. -Where are you taking me, Chengyi? Are we walking or are we going to drive?

- On foot, not far from your house - offering her hand, smiling happily when Nayeon took her arm.

The place they came to turned out to be nothing more than a small Hawaiian-style greenhouse, Chaeyoung gallantly opened the doors for her, letting her through.

-God, this is amazing, - Nayeon couldn’t believe her eyes, looking around with delight. – Chaeyoung, how did you find this?

- We had to make an effort, but what wouldn’t we do for you, unnie,- Chaeyoung said, smiling proudly at the find, thanking the hostess, who was looking at them with a smile.

- I really want to go to Hawaii... - Nayeon said, turning to her friend.

- Yes, you have voiced this many times, so until this happens, since we have many concerts ahead, I found such an alternative. But this is only the first floor, let’s go up to the second floor, there are also a lot of interesting things there,” Chaeyoung suggested, looking with devoted tenderness at the happy Nayeon walking around the room.

All her efforts were not in vain, her unnie was shining, a beautiful smile did not leave her face.

Hopefully the following points won't wipe the smile off her face - taking out her phone and typing a message to someone.

They walked out, Nayeon talking animatedly about the place she had just visited, Chaeyoung enjoying every minute spent with her, nevertheless waiting for them to be interrupted. They didn’t have to wait long, JiHyo suddenly jumped up to them, shouting as she walked (to the entire street):

- That's where you are, my favorite birthday girl. Happy day, beloved unnie – which embarrassed not only Nayeon, but also Chaeyoung.

- Jihyo, what are you...

- There is no time, Nabong, we will be late for the movie! Chengyi, I'll meet you later, I'm taking you with me - taking you by the wrist and dragging the older unnie towards the parked car, from where she suddenly jumped out.

Nayeon didn't have time to say goodbye to Chaeyoung when the doors closed behind her and the car sped off with a screech.

- I’m starting to think that you are clearly following a well-thought-out plan – giggling in Nayeon’s place, looking cheerfully at JiHyo. – What movie are we going to see? Maybe there will be time for a snack, otherwise I only had pancakes for breakfast.

- Sorry, but no, unnie. Later, JiHyo said skillfully driving the car.

“It’s so easy to catch you, JiHyo,” Nayeon grinned. “I love being pampered, so I’ll pretend I didn’t guess.”

JiHyo remained silent, realizing that it was not possible to “deceive unnie”, but she would definitely be able to surprise or amaze. The most interesting and intriguing is yet to come, this was just the easy part.

JiHyo parked the car near the cinema, slamming the doors behind her, she ran around the car and opened it in front of Nayeon.

- Jihyo, what has gotten into you? – she blushed at the gallant gesture from her friend.

- Only for today, - the leader winked at her, holding her hand and leading her to the cinema. Walking past Nayeon, she suddenly stopped Jihyo, paying attention to something:

- JiHyo, it says here that they are closed. Are we sure we should go here? Are you confused?

- No, unnie. Here. Don't worry, everything is as it should be. Today the cinema belongs entirely to us. Let's go, our session is about to start.

Nayeon was amazed, this had never happened before, she was excitedly waiting for the film to start, and when the first frames started, not calculating the volume of her voice:

- This can’t be! How?! They said that the release of this film was canceled and it would not be shown.

- What won’t you do for your friend? -  JiHyo said in a mysterious tone, making a “quiet” sign, turning her gaze to the screen where the exciting film “Foolish Heart” began.

The 2 hours of wasted time were not in vain; Nayeon even forgot about her empty stomach, completely mesmerized by the action on the screen.

She was completely delighted and curiously asking how the leader managed to do the impossible.

- It doesn’t matter how, unnie, the main thing is, did you like my gift?

- I love him, - in a fit of emotion, I hugged my friend tightly, kissing her on the cheek, receiving a shy giggle from JiHyo.

As they walked out, they noticed Momo waiting for them outside the movie theater.

- Momo,- Nayeon was delighted, bidding farewell to the leader as she walked away, who waved her hand as she drove away, - tell me that your gift is delicious food, - her voice sounded almost pleadingly.

- Yes, unnie and more.  I’ll take you to a place that you’ll really like, - Momo beamed, starting to walk along the street. - What do you think about the film? Tell me, I'm curious.

After Momo, there was a fun date with Tzuyu and the dogs, including Kukeu, who stayed with her parents while she prepared for the concert. They walked together along the Han River, on the way back they were joined by Jeongyeon, who took her shopping, convincing her that the dress she bought was not intended for this evening.

- You won’t need it today if you continue to behave well, - Jeongyeon said mysteriously, carrying all the things she bought for Nayeon, voluntarily allowing her older friend to mock her, dragging her along all the floors of the clothing store.

There is only one answer to all questions:

- You'll find out soon. We did everything so that you remember your 30th nickname, unnie, - Jeongyeon whispered with a loving smile, opening the doors of her apartment for her, letting her go forward.

Nayeon thought that a congratulatory party would be waiting for her at home, but there was no one except the two of them. Nayeon felt disappointed that neither Sana nor Mina had congratulated her yet.

- This is where my mission ends, I’m leaving you.

- Already? Chongy, maybe you can stay and drink at least a bottle of soju.

- Not today, Nabong, tomorrow... oops, pretend you didn't hear. That's it, don't forget to open your gifts. I love you until there’s no trace of her.

- And what does all this mean? What will be tomorrow? Which presents? I thought I got my gifts. Although, perhaps gifts from Sana and Mina. Maybe they couldn't attend today due to work schedules? Yes, this is possible - turning on the light in the living room and almost screaming in surprise when she was suddenly hugged tightly and kissed on both cheeks, sweetly. Singing in a flirtatious voice:

- Happy birthday to you, my beloved unnie. Nayeon-unnie, I love you, happy birthday.

- Sana - Nayeon laughs, covered in kisses from the girl, - just don’t say that you are “my gifts” - to be fully happy receiving so much love from her.

- I’m only a part, - Sana flirts ambiguously, - the main gift in the box that’s in your bedroom, Nayeon-unnie. Don’t be surprised, don’t resist, just let it happen - she kissed again on both cheeks, pulled away, and began to leave.

- Hey, Sana, are you leaving too? But how... - in bewilderment.

- See you tomorrow, my love. Open your gift carefully, unnie, there is a very valuable gift inside, - she finally said, disappearing behind the closed door.

Nayeon was left alone again, not fully understanding what had just happened. On the way to the bedroom, she managed to take off her shoes, jacket, and let down her hair. Opening the door to her bedroom, she almost crossed herself. There was a large birthday box in the middle of the entire bedroom.

With a bow.

A human-sized box with a mint bow...

Mint bow...

Oh goddess, don't tell me what's inside this holiday box...
