Jaejoong’s POV

I enjoyed watching her movie. It is one of the biggest movies produced this year. Athena portrayed

her role very well. She played as a skilful ex-assassin that was hired to be the new president’s

bodyguard. She was totally cool on those action scenes that she had done without a stunt double.

As the movie come to an end, the lights are .

            “Wha....look at all of these people...”Yoochun’s eyes wonder around the theatre. It is jump

packed with movie goers, media, and celebrities.

            “No doubt with its success.” I heard Junsu said beside me.

The director and the actors of the film stood there in front as they thanked the audience for

attending the premier. Athena is standing there quietly. She waves at the fans and occasionally

gazes at her co-stars. I doubt if she had noticed our presence because she rarely look here in the

VIP area where other celebrities occupies.

I heard a big round of applause when it’s her turn to speak came up. She smile and started talking.

            “I want to thank you all for coming out for our movie tonight. I hope that you enjoyed it.

All of us gave our best to deliver such film to you. Again, thank you very much and have a safe

trip home.”

            PAAKKK.....

From out of nowhere a woman in her thirties slapped Athena. The various sounds inside the

theatre have gone. Suddenly, it is quiet as everyone has their eyes on what just happened. Athena

felt her left cheek with her palm. She stares back to the woman with a surprised and puzzled look

on her face.

            “That’s for being such a great actress!” The woman said sarcastically.

            “D-do I know you?” Athena asked.

        “Don’t make me laugh...does meeting the wife of the man you seduced made you that

surprised?”

With that, the media turned into frenzy. Cameras are flashing here and there. Everyone is

watching the scene like a live movie in front of them.

            “I came here to give you my regards for your movie. As a bonus, I would like to give

these people a glimpse of your real face.” The woman turned to the media people. She seems to be

a rich man’s wife with the way she dressed but that doesn’t stop her in making a scene like this.

            “This Athena seduced my husband and has an illicit affair with him.”

I could almost hear the gasp by people. Whispering started to take over as well. Junsu’s mouth is

slightly open from shock.

            “What are you talking about? I never seduced anyone....most of all; I would never

commit such thing!” Athena yells.

          “Oh really?How will you explain the luxury car that you made him buy under your name?!”

            “I don’t know anything about that. That’s not true..”embarrassment is all over her face.

            “Aside from that pretty face of yours...you are nothing but a trash!”

I grit my teeth in annoyance. Why isn’t anyone doing anything to stop this? The director and her

co-stars are just there watching. The media has been swimming with joy with this big scoop. I

closed my hand into a tight fist trying to stop myself to meddle. I have nothing to do with it I kept

repeating in my head.

Some security personnel came in between trying to put a stop into it. They are trying to cover the

cameras but of course, media is media. Their brawling made the situation even worse. Athena is in

the middle of that squabble with a confused expression. She was being poked around. Her manager

is also there but she’s busy trying to stop the media from taking pictures. She looks so fragile and

defenseless at the moment. She needs to be taken away from all of these but no one seems to

care....

****’s POV

-FLASH REPORT-

An unexpected scene happened at the premier of Athena’s latest movie.

As she was giving her speech, a woman slapped her followed by a scandalous

revelation that the actress

has been having an illicit affair with her husband.

The woman was identified as the wife of a businessman......

I continued to bite the cookie that was on my hand before looking at the TV flash.

            “Chincha….That woman is so…” my housemate, Chae Kyung said with an irritated tone.

            “She often fools around with men…now she’s bored with that and tried a married man?!

How shameful!” she continued.

            “Still angry at her for stealing your boyfriend?” I drink some milk before continuing. “But

seriously, that was a year ago right?” I asked.

Chae Kyung hated Athena after pictures of her and Kim Jae Wook bar date came out. Kim Jae

Wook is the one and only love of her life.

            “She doesn’t deserve forgiveness!” she rolled her eyes.

            “They weren’t serious…they just went out for what?Two or three times…you should be happy…”

            “That’s exactly why I got even mad at her..she didn’t take him seriously…how could she treat my Jae Wook like that?!”

I shook my head gently. She is absolutely emotional when it comes to her idol/ideal guy/boyfriend

in fantasy.

            “Anyway, I really hate her. She should be thankful that she only got a slap. If it was me, I

could have pulled all her hair out.”

I smile.

            “I think, this one is a publicity stunt…” I said. She stares at me with wide eyes.

            “Why would such thing happen on the premier night? Obviously it’s for publicity..” I

explained.

            “Huh? That might be true…after all, that woman is greedy for attention.”

            “Okay…By the way, why are you still here? You’re going to work right?” I said.

            “Omo! I almost forgot. I’ll leave now. Take care and close the windows and door alright?”

            “Hm.” I nodded.

            “Bye!” She stepped out.

I look over at the window. Chae Kyung is running. She’ll probably be late for her work at the

convenience store. I return to my seat in front of my computer. I checked the comments first. A

big smile flustered in my face after reading each one.

            “Okay…now, I’m in the mood.” I said and started typing for the continuation of my fanfic. I

shouldn’t make my lovable readers to wait longer.

Athena’s POV:

From the audience’s reaction, I could say that they liked what they had watched.

The director passed the microphone to me indicating my turn to give my message to the people.

            “I want to thank you all for coming out for our movie tonight. I hope that you enjoyed it.

All of us gave our best to deliver such film to you. Again, thank you very much and have a safe

trip home.”

            PAAKKK.....

All of a sudden, a hand landed into my face. It was a huge blow that I was caught at the moment.

My eyes looked for the person who slapped me. I saw an unfamiliar woman staring at me with

hatred. Did I see it correctly? She was the one who slapped me...I should be the one to be angry

right?

            “That’s for being such a great actress!” She said.

            “D-do I know you?” I asked.

            “Don’t make me laugh...does meeting the wife of the man you seduced made you that

surprised?”

What the heck is she saying? It didn’t give me enough time to think when on a spur of the moment,

all cameras are in my face. I feel like I’m going to go blind with all those flashes.

            “I came here to give you my regards for your movie. As a bonus, I would like to give

these people a glimpse of your real face.” She stated at them.

            “This Athena seduced my husband and has an illicit affair with him.”

Everyone is looking at me.

            “What are you talking about? I never seduced anyone....most of all; I would never

That is purely accusation. I would NEVER do that.

            “Oh really?How will you explain the luxury car that you made him buy under your name?!”

Then it hits me...she might be talking about the Lamborghini that was sent to the agency for me a

few days ago. How could she say such thing? It is true that there was a car but I didn’t accept that

since I don’t know who the sender is. I didn’t even bother to look at it twice when it was brought

there. I told them to send it back.

            “I don’t know anything about that. That’s not true..” I am so mortified that this is the only

thing that came out of my mouth.

            “Aside from that pretty face of yours...you are nothing but a trash!” She threw disgust

with those eyes. My cheek is still painful but that wouldn’t compare to my pride being stomp and

the doubt on my innocence.

I look around and see nothing but shock and accusation on different faces.

            Somebody....my mind calls for help.

But the sad truth is that I’m all alone...

A brawl started between the media people and security. I saw my manager doing the same. This is

another scandal that she needs to handle. I feel like I lost my sense of hearing. I couldn’t hear

anything yet I could see everyone around me in a fuss. I stood there not knowing what to do.

Then somebody covered me with a coat. A warm hand grabbed mine and pulled me away from

that crowd. I let that person lead the way.

After a few minutes, I take a peek from the coat that covers me. I saw the back of his head as he

was continuously leading me somewhere. He’s not one of the security personnel but looks familiar.

We reached a car and he opened the door for me.

            “Hop in.” he said which I did.

He boarded the car and put the seatbelt for me. I stare at his face. It is him....Kim Jaejoong...why

did he help me?

Jaejoong’s POV:

            What have you done? I told you not to meddle, right? My mind berates me. It’s too late to

regret. I got myself involved now. I don’t even know the truth behind that woman’s accusation yet

I choose to hold her hand and take her away. My feet suddenly moved on their own and the next

thing I know is that I’m driving her away from the place. After driving a few miles, I stopped the

car. I didn’t dare to say anything to her. I gaze at Athena who’s sitting next to me. She’s silently

leaning on the window. She’s looking outside yet I could say that she’s more of staring to nothing.

Her cheek is still red from the slapped that she got earlier. Other girls would probably be crying

now if they get humiliated like that in the public but Athena remained stern. I have the urge to

touch her cheek...I want to comfort her...

            “Can you please drive me to Ilsan?” She said in a low voice. Still, she is looking into space.

            “Ah....yes..” I replied.

After telling me the address, she closed her eyes.

I stopped the car and stare at the place. A hospital? Is she going for a check up? Why must it be

here in Ilsan when we passed by a few hospitals in Seoul. She removed her seatbelt.

            “Thank you for driving me here. You can go back now...” she said without looking at me.

She opens the door and took off. I stare at her as she walks towards the entrance. She still has my

coat with her.

            You helped her already so do what she said. Go now...my mind tells me but like the first

one, my body didn’t agree with my mind. I followed her.

A nurse assists her and I kept my distance as I followed her. What am I doing now? I feel like a

stalker...

Both entered an isolated room at the end of the corridor. Yang Miri-that’s the name indicated on

the door. I stand there not knowing if I should go or not when the nurse came out and she looked

at me.

            “Hi. May I asked, is she Athena’s relative or friend?” I asked while pointing at the door.

The middle aged nurse hesitated for a while. She might have been instructed to be careful in

answering questions. However, she gave me a kind smile probably upon recognizing my identity.

            “That’s her mother...”

            “She’s sick? What kind of illness?”

Her facial expression softens and her eyes become sad.

            “Poor child...she often visits her mother in secrecy...never lose hope that one day, her

mom will wake up...She was on that bed for almost 7 years...comatose after an accident..”

I was shocked by what I heard...before I could even react, the nurse left me there. Is this true?

comatose for almost 7 years? How could that be possible? I never heard somebody to stay that

long...

 I turned and see that the door is slightly open. I take a peek and look around. I saw a woman lying

on the bed with some apparatuses attached to her. Athena is sitting next to the bed with her back

facing me. I just noticed now that her backside is a picture of melancholy.

            “Omma...the movie was a successful...a lot of people attended and they liked it...so you

better wake up because you’ve got a pile of films to watch already...You would also attend a

premier with me right?”

She made it sound so easy...her voice is very cheery as she say those words.

            “However....your daughter got into another trouble....I think the agency will tell me to lie

low for a few days...”

            “A woman accused me that I seduced her husband.... That’s totally false....Omma, you

know me right? I never did such thing.....”

So she’s truly innocent....

            “Can I just stay here with you?”

She held her mother’s hand and her shoulders started shrugging. She cried....each sob is very

painful that even I felt bad...she never shed a single tear earlier. She was holding it up all along. My

hand is still holding the knob as I continuously watch over her. I know I shouldn’t be here...but the

more I remind myself, the more I can’t go. I never knew that seeing her tears....would feel like

this.
