Jaejoong's POV

My steps are slow as I follow the restaurant attendant. I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly but I

think I owe it to myself. We might have been over for a year now but seeing her might be

necessary. I got a call from her last night. She was the least I could expect when I answer that

phone call from an unfamiliar number.

She told me that she’ll be waiting on this restaurant and she has something important to say. Her

voice is pleading that I wasn’t even able to answer. After giving it a thought, I finally decided to

come.

There I saw her sitting on a table. She wasn’t looking at the place but on the table top.

            “Jaejoong...” Her face brightens when she sees me.

I sat at the chair in front of her. The attendant left after I asked for a tea. I stare at her face.

            “I’m really glad that you came...” she starts.

            “What is it? Get straight to the point as to why you ask me to meet you.”

Her eyes show confusion. With the pain she caused me, is she expecting that I would be smiling

and happy to see her again?

            “Jaejoong...I want to say sorry...I know I did wrong...I shouldn’t have left you during that

time and I’m really regretting it now.....”

I didn’t say anything and just listen.

            “This whole year that I’ve been in the U.S., I had been thinking a lot...my career is

important but it is nothing without you....you never left my mind even though we’re apart...so,

please...give me another chance...another chance Jaejoong...” she still has that pleading tone as if

she’s suffering from something.

            “If you said that earlier, I might say yes right away...but now, I don’t think I can.”

            “Jaejoong?”

            “Boa, I..”

Her eyes gleam with tears. She shook her head lightly and took my hand.

            “My feelings for you never changed...please, love me again..I promise that I’ll make it up

to you..”

            “Does he know this?” I ask and she knows exactly I’m talking about.

            “I don’t care anymore...I followed him once and I won’t do it again. My career will

survive without his help.” She filled my hand with her little kisses.

I sigh and took back my hand from her grasp.

            “It really hurts when you left me back then and I did everything to forget you. Now, I

already recovered from that heartbreak. I’m over you.”

            “B-but...Jaejoong, it’s not yet too late to go back to what we used to be...We’ve been

together for four years..”

            “I also told myself that...we’ve been lovers for four years yet it had been easy for you to

walk away. I had moved on with my life. I’m happy where I am right now and I don’t love you

anymore.”

I know it’s harsh for her but this is the truth. I wouldn’t want to say yes just because she still feels

something for me. It becomes clearer now that I see her. My heart no longer belongs to her.

            “Jaejoong...” her tears roll down her face.

            “I’m sorry.” Is all that I could say before leaving her.

Athena’s POV

I just finish eating lunch and I was walking my way out of the restaurant when I caught a sight of

him. He’s on a table on the other side but he’s not alone. He’s with a woman. She’s a singer right?

I’ve seen her before on some events. Wait, they are holding hands...she’s even kissing his hand. I

felt my eyebrow rise. He just told me that he wants to get closer to me...

            Didn’t you told him to stay away?

Yeah...I did, but isn’t it too fast for him to find another girl to flirt with? Huh...what do I

expect of him? He’s an idol...

I should be relieved but why do I feel disappointed?

I stop myself from feeling more so I didn’t dare to look again. I leave the place as fast as I can.

At least I’ve seen clearly that he’s no different from others....not to be trusted.

No Min Woo’s POV

            “Min Woo Oppa!” I heard a familiar voice calling my name here in the hotel’s lobby.

            “HyeRi ah!” I smile as I recognize her. She runs towards me.

            “I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw you! When did you arrive?”

            “I’ve been here since last week.”

            “And, you are staying here for now?”

            “Yes...my manager is still arranging some things on my new house before I can move in.

How about you? What are you doing here?”

            “Ah! I’m going to have dinner with my family.”

            “Is that so?”

            “Yup..It’s a good time, I’ll introduce you to them.”

HyeRi didn’t waste time. She slips her arm into mine and holds on tightly. Together, we head

towards her companions.

            “Omma, Appa I want you to meet Min Woo Oppa. Oppa, this is Senator Lee my dad and

his beautiful wife, Lady Jang.” She introduces us.

He is her father? Then HyeRi is...

            “I’m No Min Woo. Nice to meet you sir, ma’am..” I bounced back from my surprise.

            “Oh, you really are handsome....I’ve seen some of your dramas and I could say that you

really are a talented actor.”Mrs. Jang says.

            “Thank you very much for your praise.”

            “He is the sunbae I’m talking about from U.S.”

            “Is that so? Then, I want to personally thank you for helping my daughter in

America.”Mr. Lee says.

            “That’s nothing. We’re both Koreans so I did what I have to do...”

I studied in Los Angeles. There, I met HyeRi and as both Koreans, we look after each other.

            “And this is my twin sister Hye Jin...”

            “Hi there, Hye Jin.”

            “Hello.” She and HyeRi exchange smiles.

            “Since we’re going to have dinner, why don’t you join us?” Senator Lee invites.

            “That’s a great idea! Oppa, please say yes?”HyeRi pouts her lips while still clinging in my

arm.

            “Sure. That’s my pleasure.” I answer.

I drop myself on the couch. The world is small indeed. I never had an idea that HyeRin is Ae

Young’s half-sister. I look at the magazine on the top of the coffee table. It was Athena on the

cover. Wherever I go, her face can be seen on the big billboards, theatre, and TV. A part of me was

amazed of her achievements. She had gone farther than she once dreamed of.

Seven years had changed her. The way she move, stare, and speak is different. She seems like a

total stranger to me now. Not a single trace of the old Ae Young left in her. I can’t blame her 

though...with the things that she went through, no wonder she will be like this.
