Athena’s POV
“Omma...aren’t you going to bed yet?” I ask.
We had a long day moving and touring around the place.
“I slept for almost eight years...I don’t even want to see a bed.” She answers jokingly.
I smile and join her on the couch.
“Watching again?”
She’s playing one of my movies on the DVD. It’s been almost a week since she woke up and we didn’t do anything but to stick together. We watch some of my movies and now we are here in Jeju Island for a vacation. Everyday is great....like somehow, things gone back to old days.
“I have to catch up on all of these...” She points to the pile of DVD’s of my movies.
I hold onto her arm and rest my head to her shoulder.
“You have all the time for all of them...”
She sighs.
“I don’t know...I feel like everything happened just yesterday and when I open my eyes, eight years had past...I missed a lot...lots of years in your life.” I detect sadness in her voice.
“Omma...Don’t think of those lost years...I was able to live and so are you...Now that we are together again, let’s just live happily. Let’s start a new life omma...”
I didn’t go on details as to what happened on those eight years. I don’t want her to feel burdened. I know that she’s still thinking and worrying but I just want us to be happy on the coming days.
She makes a happy expression by smiling.
“Alright...If that’s what my daughter wants.”
I smile back.
I snuggle up to her like a kid while we watch the movie.

Yoochun’s POV
After our taping today, the cast decided to go to noraebang to have fun. It’s nice to hang out with my colleagues once in a while. After all, we work like crazy these past three months. I watch Han Ji Min noona and Jung Yumi sing a duet. I drink a few shots of alcohol and Park Ha suddenly pops into my head.
I didn’t notice the smile on my face. She’s the most special girl for me now and I’m really inspired because of her.
When it comes to relationships, I’m the type who jumps in, the moment I’m sure with what I feel. I want to hit it off right away and just to get to know more about the girl as we become a couple.
What is she doing right now? Is she sleeping already?
I feel the chill run through my bones. I couldn’t wait ‘till tomorrow....I have to tell her now.
I stand up from my seat. Nobody notices me as I exit the room. The corridor is quiet so I stay there. I lean my back to the wall and take out the phone from my pocket. My heart pounds as I press the call button.
I think the alcohol gave me stronger confidence to do this.

Park Ha’s POV
“Yoochun sshi?”
“Park Ha.....” His voice is husky and I can say that he had a drink.
“Yoochun sshi....what happened? Did you drink alcohol?”
“Hm. I drank a bit but don’t worry...I just had one bottle...”
“Why did you call? Do you need my help? Perhaps, you need me to pick you up?” I look at where I hang my jacket.
“No...I didn’t call for that... I have something important to tell you..”
“You can just wait at least ‘till tomorrow...It’s really late, you have to go home..”
“No...I can’t wait even a minute...My chest might explode if I won’t tell you now.”
I suddenly feel worried. He must be really drunk. Is he alone?
I hear him sigh.
“Park Ha...I like you...Will you go out with me?”
I froze.
“I can’t stop thinking about you to the point that I feel like I’ll go crazy if I won’t do anything now.”
I catch my breath.
“Yoochun....sshi...”
“Go out with me....go out with me....go out with....me...” His voice is fading until I can no longer hear even his breath on the line.
“Hello?....Yoochun sshi...Are you still there, can you hear me? Yoochun sshi?”
But he didn’t answer so I hang up. I'm sure he passed out.
What’s that? Did he really confess to me? He’s obviously drunk so it’s stupid of me to believe what he just said. Also, didn’t he admit yesterday that he’s in love with somebody?
I reach for my chest. My heart is beating like crazy. I think I’ll be the one to go insane with what he said.
I swallow hard and close my eyes.
“Calm down....There’s absolutely no truth on what you heard. He’s just drunk so he dialled the wrong number...Right...it is a drunk confession...something I should not take seriously..” I tell myself.

Athena's POV
I lay in my mother's lap. I really miss this.
“Omma, let's go shopping tomorrow...I'll buy you clothes...” I say to her.
She continuously brushes my hair with her fingers.
“How about your work?” she asks.
I cancelled my schedule for the entire week just to have time for omma.
“Don't worry omma....This is the first time I cancelled schedules so it's okay...They understand..”
“But you can't just stay here and watch over me...you're a woman now...you have responsibilities.”
I smile. It's really her....she's the one who taught me how to be responsible and love what I do.
“Okay. I'll go back to work as soon as possible.”
She smiles at me.
“My baby....you've grown well...I'm so proud of you..”
“Of course...I'm your daughter.”
“Why don't you invite your boyfriend...Tell him I'll cook a good meal for him.”
“Boyfriend?”
“Yes...Jaejoong...he's your boyfriend, right?”
“How many times do I have to clear...he's not my boyfriend...We're nothing like that.”
I turn sideways.
“Hmmmm.....But you two look like a cute couple to me. I know that boy visited me while I'm still in the hospital. The way he looks at you...I know that he's in love with you. Every move you do, he's got his eyes on you.”
“Isn't that creepy?” I say carelessly to brush off the subject.
“No...it only shows how much attentive he is when it comes to you. Don't tell me you're too naïve to see that?”
“Omma....” I try to stop her.
“Ae Young ah...there are only two things in this word that a person cannot hide. The first one is a sneeze...and the second one is the look of love. The second one, I had seen it from you as well.”
“You're just imagining things...I'm not in love with him. He's just like any other guy...not to be trusted. I won't need any guy in my life. I only need you Omma.”
She sighs. She understood well why I don't want to trust anyone anymore.
“You are trying hard to deny it. Do you think that if you keep doing that, your heart will believe it too?”
I couldn't answer.
“Don't hold back...risking is a part of life. Be brave and risk for a chance of happiness.”
“Omma...”
“Let go of your pain one by one and reach for what your heart desires.”
Can I really do that?
“I like that boy. I have a good feeling about him.”
I couldn't help but smile. She's so expressive of how she approves of Jaejoong.

Jaejoong's POV
My buzzing phone wakes me up. With my eyes close, I reach for it on the bedside table.
“Yoboseyo....” I answer with a yawn.
“It’s me...Where are you?”
I suddenly feel awake. I look at the screen to be sure. Its Athena....this is the first time she calls me.
“Athena? Is that really you?”
“Hm. Are you working?”
“No. I’m just here in my hotel room, sleeping.”
It’s already 7 am when I got back from work. I look at clock; it’s already 5:30 pm. I must be really tired to sleep like that.
“I heard that you’re in Jeju...”
“Ah...yeah.”
“I’m here in Jeju too...”
“Really?”
“Yes. Hm....Do you....want to go on a date?”
I’m not sure if I caught that right.
“D-date?”
She didn’t repeat it but say the name of the place instead.
“I’ll wait here for thirty minutes. If I couldn’t see you within that time, then I’ll go.”
Then she hangs up the phone.
What’s happening? It’s clearly a date invitation. She asked me out by herself. I should not waste such opportunity!
I rush to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth.

Athena’s POV
I sit by the fountain. This park is empty and quiet, a perfect place to walk around. Mom finally goes to bed and she almost pushes me out of the door telling me to go out and have fun by myself which is nonsense.
I sigh. What should I do to kill time?
Then I remember Ms. Go mentioning that Jaejoong’s drama is currently taping here at Jeju Island when I told her that we’ll go for a vacation here.
“Don't hold back...risking is a part of life. Be brave and risk for a chance of happiness.”
To try and risk being hurt again...is it worth it? I’m so happy these days because I get a chance to spend time with mom but I admit, there are times that I think of him. What is he up to? Why he hasn’t called or messaged me after that day in the hospital?
Can I really let my pain go and be happy? How sure am I that it’ll end up well?
“Reach for what your heart desires...”
If I’ll listen to my heart right now....what does it want?
I close my eyes and figure it out.
His voice...His smile....His laugh....my heart throbs...faster and faster...
“I don’t know anymore...”
I dialled his phone number.
“Yoboseyo....” he sounds sleepy.
“It’s me...Where are you?”
“Athena? Is that really you?”
“Hm. Are you working?”
“No. I’m just here in my hotel room, sleeping.”
“I heard that you’re in Jeju...”
“Ah...yeah.”
“I’m here in Jeju too...”
“Really?”
I breathe deeply before speaking.
“Yes. Hm....Do you....want to go on a date?”
My heart beats hard...
“D-date?”
“I’m now in Hallim Park. Meet me at the fountain.”
I look at my wristwatch. It’s 5:30
“I’ll wait here for thirty minutes. If I couldn’t see you within that time, then I’ll go.”
I hang up immediately. I decided to go with my heart today....what’s going to happen is uncertain but I thought of giving it a try.
“Jaejoong....” I whisper in the air.
