Mal!!! That's my love right there ><. Mal isn't the most outstanding song depth-wise of Broccoli,You Too. It didn't cause me to get into super deep or ugly sobbing mode like Cruel April, Graduation, etc. But...it's a very freaking attractive song! (okay...maybe it's still deep bcuz it's still not easy for me to digest line by line though i think i get the general idea) Maybe i'm just weird that most of Broccoli's popular/earlier songs like Universal Song, No Request for Encore, etc. doesn't resonate with me as much as their lesser mainstream-popular songs...but well...isn't that just naturally me? Anyway...Mal! i didn't remember how did i first found Mal but it was definitely love at first listen. I think this live acoustic version sealed my ultimate love for it,

but strangely, it's the not-acoustic-like opening in this version that i find extremely, attractive...y. that guitar. One thing i couldn't help but notice is how in Broccoli's songs...it's always easy to savour each of the instruments on their own, besides as part of the song. Mad respect to the fabulous ladies n man. Another unpopular opinion, I'm highly surprised to not find this song uploaded on yt...i mean, Mal has been uploaded, but none of the uploads are the 'new' version. Only the original/first version...

If you wonder of the difference, there's a big change. Right from the intro and of course, the vocalist, as well as the sharpness/maturity(?) of the instrument-playing? idk...i love the rawness of the original but i also loooveee the umph that the new version adds by a large dose. Many seem to prefer their former main vocalist n lighter music/subjects in the past, but i guess i'm in the minority that prefer Deokwon's voice and their darker/heavier subjects. Although they mostly don't come off dark/heavy anyway, since the light melody would balance out the subject. Speaking of Mal though, i don't think this song is heavy...but like i say...it's darn freaking attractive. Ugh. Is this love or purely lust/attraction?

Okay now i sound/feel weird. lol.

I prefer to call it Mal than words, since Mal can mean Words, it can mean Speak/Say, it can also mean...horse. lol. depending on the context/way of use i guess.

Anyway, I've been a lil/more out of my elements..and since instinct play a big role in my translation...i'm really unconfident...i feel like i can never interpret Broccoli's lyrics precisely...but i hope you at least get a gist of it, even if i don't get it entirely...Alrite...btw, sorry if my spazzy mode made you disappointed if the song didn't live up to the hype to you....hey, different people have different taste. And this, is clearly mine. it's that simple.

Anyway, i'm just happy i gathered enough courage to even try translate this..one of my ultimate favs...for whatever reason.
