Idk how much I cried translating this...ugh....beautiful thing. It's been awhile since i get the chills from translating beautiful inspiring thing(gotta say the bridge part got me on major chills/feels mode)...I didn't know it'd be that easy but i guess when you get the hang of it...everything will click into places...that's why i hate meaningless songs bcuz it's always harder to make sense of the lyrics as opposed to the ones with clear plot. I failed to find the composer/lyricist to be included in details...but anyway...after learning the lyrics, i appreciate the song even more...and i also appreciate Jungmin singing this. Because her voice in this song is soft but holds strength (unlike many other soft-voiced singers...n Jungmin's voice isn't usually this soft...she's more powerful than this in Storm songs. lol.)...and i think this point greatly complement the message of the song...this only make me miss Jungmin n Storm even more...T^T...i remember my frustration everytime i found songs listed under Jungmin's profile in random sites...it always turn out to be ahjumma-voiced Jungmin and not this Jungmin....ugh...like...can those people making sites be bothered to listen first before making up fake facts?
Anyway, I'm so proud of Jungmin that even though she came from unknown company with no backup support...she managed to get an ost solo and that's awesome...really she deserves it. Well, Storm had another ost too. I'll see if i want to translate that one though...
Notes:
- I'm not sure to whom each line is addressed to actually...whether 'you' or 'i'...but i'm going with instinct and what i think flows better.
- Some background knowledge to make you understand the song better...it's from Insoon is Pretty OST...in which the drama is about a young woman facing adversities to launch back her life after going to prison for murder charges in her high school days. So, you can make meaning of some of the lyrics like 'painful memories of being locked' etc.
- the line 작은 어깨를 들어봐 - is actually directly translated to small shoulders listen...but of course that doesn't make much sense so i had to twist n turn it around to make some sense from it...
