Chapter 65: Kai's pain

Hyojin walked inside her room and turned the TV on. She doesn’t really like quiet places especially when she’s feeling sad and troubled. Placing the bowl of food DO gave her; she just decided to eat it later and just closed the lid. She sighed and didn’t bother to turn on the lights anymore.

Just as she was about to go to her bed, a pair of arms wrapped around her waist hugging her from the back. She gasped in shock and easily recognized him because of his scent, true that they are not putting perfumes, but for Hyojin, his scent is just so alluring. It’s like you were in a field, cool wind breeze and cool clouds.

“Please cure my aching chest, Hyojin.” He whispered. That voice that sounded so sad stabbed her chest many times than before. He closed his eyes and rested his cheek on her head as he tightened his hug around her. “This pain is much more painful than before.” His breath tickled her.

“Kai…” she mumbled.

She bit her bottom lip and removed his arms around her waist. She faced him with her head lowered and pushed him away by his chest. She doesn’t want to see his hurt face. Because seeing him in pain again is hurting her as well. “Go back to your room. Medicine is there. I left it there.” She pushed him away making Kai to frown and feel hurt.

He just stood there, looking at Hyojin who is not facing him. He wanted to see her face. He wanted to kiss her lips. He wanted to hug her so tight. Because for him, this is the only medicine that can cure the pain that is is slowly killing him inside.

Hyojin bit her bottom lip, “Or better, all of you just go back to the place where you came.” She swallowed hard and pushed him again, “Go back and never come back. Erase my memories from all of you.” She pushed him away once more. Hyojin is feeling hurt and she doesn’t even know why. Since they came, she became very happy and she felt that she’s not alone, but… at the same time, she’s feeling hurt as well. Her mind is so confused right now.

He didn’t like what she said… all of it.
