Chapter 15: My longest night

“This one should be inside the refrigerator.” She put the beverages on the table. Of course, Suho quickly took it and opened the door of the fridge. He creepily smiled after the feeling the coldness again. “You really have issues.” Hyojin remarked. “And don’t leave the door open.” Suho just followed her directions and put the drinks inside to keep them cold.

“These go in the cabinets.” She pushed the canned goods and cup noodles to the other side of the table.

“I’ll do it!” Sehun quickly volunteered.

After arranging the groceries, she stood up but then something popped up in front of her face. It was some of her clothes. Kai handed them to her. “How did you get this?” she gaped.

“I took it from your closet. I just picked what I thought was pretty.” He grinned.

Hyojin spread out the clothes Kai gave her and was shocked to find that they were her new clothes that she only wore for special occasions. “Can you just return these?! I’ll just wear my uniform.” She handed them back to Kai.

“Are you sure?” Kai raised an eyebrow. “You know I’m not going to teleport you back inside your room.” He reminded her. He definitely wants her to stay with them tonight.

“110% sure,” She answered. “And for your information, I’m just going to stay here to help you survive in daily life, you birdbrains.” She spat and rolled her eyes.

She walked inside the kitchen and readied the rice-cooker. She tied her hair up nicely in a loose bun to avoid getting hair i2n the food. “This is how you cook rice.” She put 3 cups of rice inside the pot and walked to the sink, EXO-K following her like good students. “Wash the rice, alright? Like this.” She showed them how to the clean the rice before cooking it.

Chanyeol and Sehun started imitating how she does it, imagining there is also a pot in their hands. At the same time, Hyojin told Suho and D.O. to prepare the vegetables. Kai and Baekhyun are still standing behind her while watching her wash the rice.

Kai’s look shifted to her neck, at the same time Baekhyun looked at her face then to her lips. They didn’t know why they are looking at those parts but it’s somehow captivating to them. They swallowed hard and try to shift their gazes back to the rice.

Hyojin placed the pot back inside the rice cooker and closed the lid. She turned it on and just waited for it to be cooked. “Did you listen?” she put her hands on her hips. They nodded their heads.

Next, Hyojin walked over to Suho and Baekhyun. “Hey~” she stole the carrot away from D.O. because he is peeing it like a banana. “This is not how you peel carrots!”

“Why?! Did you tell us how to?! You just told us to peel it.” He defended himself.

Hyojin pulled a drawer and took the peeler. “I know, but you have to use this.” She starts peeling the carrots skilfully. She walked to the stove and was about to turn it on when Chanyeol ran to her and stopped her hand.

“I want to do it.” He smiled.

Hyojin let him be, if Suho likes the refrigerator, Chanyeol likes the stove. *Wow, life forms from other planet are really weird. It makes me crazy.*Chanyeol snapped his fingers and automatically, there’s already a fire at the range.
