Jade’s POV

Today’s the 10th of December. Which means the weather’s getting colder & colder day by day. Which also means…

“CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Donghae & Sungmin came running into the living room, cheerfully.

“Shopping?” I exclaimed, looking at the two. Zhou Mi turned his head around eagerly after hearing the word ‘Shopping’.

“Christmas is in just a few days. So, as usual, we’d go out & buy presents for our parents” Donghae explained.

“Oh, are you guys going back home during the holidays?” I asked them.

“Not this year” Donghae said. “The company’s making a big Christmas bash, & everyone’s invited. Including our families” he explained.

“Whoa, really??” I grinned.

After knowing about the party, everyone got excited more than ever. Though the only ones that wanted to go shopping were Donghae, Eunhyuk, Sungmin, Zhou Mi, Henry, & Siwon. The others said they wanted to stay back & maybe get the tree decorating started inside the dorm.

I decided to follow as well, so I went into my room to change. (Outfit)

Later

We were walking along the streets, & walking inside the mall. Donghae was thinking on what to get for his mom. While Eunhyuk asked for my opinion on to get what for Sora.

“Perfume works best” I said. He nodded & went to head out to find a perfume counter around there.

I was wandering around the place, looking around, when a voice came out from nowhere & startled me. “What’cha looking for?”

I jumped & turned around, “Gah!!” but it was just Heechul. “Yah! Ever thought of that might’ve given me a heart attack?!” I said. He blinked & just shrugged if off. Then I realized something. “Wait, when did you get here?” I asked.

“Got bored in the dorms. Leeteuk’s making me hang up some decorations, but I got lazy. So I came to stalk you guys” he smugged. I rolled my eyes & continued to walk. He followed & stuck behind. All of a sudden, he peered over my shoulder & whispered. “So you didn’t forget our little challenge, did you?”

I gulped, & the memory from yesterday hit me.

Flashback

“Never been in love, don’t even want to” I added with a smug face.

“Right” he said with a tone sounding so much like he didn’t believe me. I felt myself going numb all of a sudden. The more steps he took, the closer he got to me. “That can always be changed…”

Stupid me, I should’ve just kept my mouth shut.

“I don’t think so” I replied vaguely.

“Wanna bet?” he challenged me.

I cut myself away from the temporary flashback & shook my head.

“Hey, I didn’t say I accept it.” I said & walked away from him.

He speed up & followed from behind. “Aniya~” he smugged, grabbing my wrist & pulling me to the side. “You know I can’t resist a challenge.” He smirked. As he leaned closer, I automatically brought my free hand up & flicked his forehead. “D-ow!”

He backed off & pouted; rubbing his forehead.

“Whatever you say, I‘m not gonna do it.” I walked off.

He continued to follow & walked beside me. “Really?” he teased. “You said you don’t wanna fall in love.” He re-called.

I just shrugged the thought away & moved on.

He thought for a bit & finally snapped his fingers together. “How ‘bout I set you up on a date with Yoseob? I bet you’re not gonna pass that opportunity.” He said.

I stopped for a moment & blinked, looking straight at him. “Who’s Yoseob?”

He immediately slapped forehead right after my question.

“Jinja…” he sighed. “Are you really that clueless?” he flicked my forehead.

“O-Ow!” I winced. “I’m not clueless!”

“& not knowing Yoseob?” he raised an eyebrow. I didn’t try to guess & just waited for him to answer. Finally, he sighed. “Beast?” he said.

“Ooooh~!” I exclaimed & nodded. “Um… No thanks.” I shook my head & continued to walk.

“Y-Yah!” he exclaimed & ran after me. “How about Jang Geun Suk?” he asked.

“I prefer Hongki.” I simply replied.

“Anyone BUT him.” He slumped his shoulders.

“Ah waeee?” I began to pout.

“Someone other than my best friend?” he suggested.

I gave it a moment to think. “Nope. No one.”

“Don’t you know any other group??” he asked desperately.

“Um… I know SHINee, FT Island, 2PM, &…” I counted my fingers, then raised my hand to point at him. “…you.”

He slapped his forehead & sighed. “You really need to learn more ‘bout other K-Pop stars…”

“What can I say? I’m a pure Sapphire Blue E.L.F.” I smugged proudly which made him let out a little grin.

We continued to walk & along the way, he asked me what I was actually searching for.  

“Probably a present” I said. “Hmm… What does Yesung like?” I asked him.

“You’re getting a present for him?” he looked at me as if he was disgusted. I sighed & just walked away from him. Clearly his advices aren’t helping me at all.

I walked around & landed in front of a shop that sells all kinds of jewelries & sculptures. Hmm… A sculpture of a turtle perhaps? I’ll get the one in Jade! Hahah! That’s definitely something for him to remember me by. (Yesung's present)

I went in & quickly asked for one of those, then paid the women & walked out with the Jade in the paper bag.

“You bought him a turtle?” to my surprise, Heechul was standing right outside the shop, spying on me.

I sighed. “Don’t you have anything better to do?”

“Not really” he shrugged. I shook my head as I tried my best to ignore him. “So what about you?”

“Hm? Me?” I asked as we walked along.

“Thought of anything you want for Christmas?” he asked, playing with his hands behind his back.

“Nahh” I shook my head. “I’m not really into buying gifts for myself” I s
