I sagged in my seat a little. My cheek throbbed but I was more worried about Melina than myself. In the back of my mind I thought about the night before and the anger in their eyes, the intent to kill for what they needed.

Did they get punished because they failed? I shook my head as if to clear it. You’re in deeper Minji. Don’t worry about them. I told myself.

The next three days all I got was a bottle of water and nothing else. The man just came in and set it down and paused for a second before leaving. I didn’t know if the water had drugs in it or not but I drank it greedily because I needed water more than I need food.

I couldn't sleep. I always felt like someone was watching me through the glass and I didn’t want to show them I had a weak side. Not ever.

But on the fourth day I could barely wake up from my quick naps, my body decided to throw me into. I wanted to sleep. I wanted to do a lot of things. I wanted to be anywhere but here.

Finally they came in again. “Take her.” The woman ordered and two guys came in behind them and grabbed me by both sides. I barely could struggle in their grasp.

“Take her to take a shower. Give her some food.” The man said. And like he ordered they took me to a room with a shower and toilet and gave me fresh clothes. After my shower a nurse came and wrapped my bandages.

I was lightheaded but I managed to stay awake.

They sat me in another room this time. This time the room  had some furniture, like a couch and a love seat and a wooden table.

“Minji.” Someone called my name and I turned around to see the man.

“Take a seat.” He held out his hand to help me but I slapped it away and sat down. “My name is Daniel.” He said casually. I shrugged.

“I admire the loyalty you’ve shown for the past few days, but how long do you think that you can hold on until we break you?” He asked.

I stayed silent and someone walked in setting a tray down in front of me of noodles, soup, bread and a glass of juice.

“Eat up you’re going to need your strength.” He said. I eyed the food wearily. “It’s not poisoned. If we wanted to kill you, you’d already be dead.” He raised an eyebrow. “Screw it.” I said and started to eat. I practically inhaled the food.

“What do you want with me?” I asked after I was done eating. “We’re returning you to the boys.” He said his tone light.

I stopped. “Why?”

Before he could answer me the woman burst in. “Daniel! How could you let her go?! Just let me beat the information out of her. We’ll see how well she can hold her tongue then.” She glared at me.

“No. These are the boss’s direct orders.” He said without looking away from me. “But don’t think we’re letting you get away. He reached over and clapped a bracelet on my wrist. “You need to check in everyday. And if you run and we find you, I will personally kill that woman that you hold so dear and Claire here really will have the freedom to do whatever she wants.” He warned.

“Why do I have to go back to Infinite though?” I asked. “Because they refuse to do missions until we find you. Nice lie about being taken.” He smiled bitterly. “Once every three days, I’ll have a mission for you to do. Same threats go. If you don’t do it, you know what will happen. And you are to completely keep this a secret from the guys.”

I didn’t know what their boss was planning, but it wasn’t like I had a choice at the moment. “Well off you go. I hope you enjoyed our company.” He said. He didn’t expect an answer because in the next minute they blindfolded me again and escorted me out.

I didn’t know where we were but the car eventually stopped and Daniel got out of the car with me and we went upstairs to Infinite’s dorm. “You’re a smart girl Minji. Don’t do something you’ll regret.” He said and that hint of a smile never left his face. He made me want to hit him in the face but I controlled myself.
