To the Cabin We Go
Switched“One time tee agero! Two time ten takaku! Three time tee tatake!”
“Ya na koto wa wasurete!”
“Woo!”
“Four time minna Clap, Clap! Five time fume yo Stomp, Stomp! Six time put your hands up!”
“Tomereru ka orera wo!” you screamed at the top of your lungs.
“Woohoo!” Junno cheered.
“I have heard about girls singing in a bus on the way to camp, but I have never heard of a bunch of guys singing one of their own songs in a van going to a cabin!” you laughed.
“But aren’t we so much more in key than a group of girls,” Kame asked, spinning around from the seat in front of you to ask.
You laughed harder and shook your head, “It’s pretty close.” You had been in the van for two hours already and you hadn’t gotten the least bit bored. You sat in between Ueda, who somehow managed to sleep soundly against the window through all the noise, and Junno, who was the most pumped by far.
“When we get there it will be so much fun?” Junno chimed.
“Vacations are the best,” Koki sighed as he stretched in the front seat.
“What about you ~~~~~-chan? Are you excited? You finally get to relax!” Junno shook with anticipation.
“I don’t know,” you shrugged indifferently, leaning back into your seat.
Junno gaped at you, “How is that possible?” He grabbed your face and made you look at him. “Are you sick?”
You laughed and pulled his hands off your cheeks, “I am fin…” A bark from the back interrupted you. You looked over the back of your seat and saw Hoshi looking up at you with saddened eyes, through the bars of the cage. “I still don’t get why I couldn’t just hold her,” you pouted, turning back around and dropping into your seat with a heavy heart.
“Then we would have to deal with two things jumping around the car,” Jin stated harshly.
“Two?” you questioned.
“Your rat thing, and Junno,” he pointed over his shoulder.
“For your information, her name is Hoshi and she’s not a rat she’s a dog,” you snapped.
“Whatever,” Jin brushed you off and looked back out the window.
Your jaw dropped wide open, “You…!”
“Please don’t start you two,” Kame interrupted. “It’s a vacation, so would it kill both of you to not be at each others throats every five seconds?” You slumped into your seat with defeat and huffed out some air, blowing up the bangs that hung in your face.
“I don’t get why you have your hair so long. It’s almost like a girls,” you grumbled mostly to yourself, but sure enough, Jin heard too.
He spun around and gave you an icy glare, “At least I know how to take care of my hair. Yours is hideous.” Jin pretended to gag at the thought of it.
“Well at least mine smells nice. Yours is just like someone poured a bucket of grease on it, and they might as well have. It would have made some improvements,” you muttered.
“I guess it would kill you,” Kame said, answering his previous question.
“Don’t even go there!” Jin yelled at you.
“I just did,” you stuck your tongue out at him and turned back to Hoshi, ending the conversation. You heard Jin groan and shift back into his seat. You smiled, guessing that you had won. *A whole weekend of this! Who wouldn’t be excited?* you thought sarcastically, sitting back down into your seat and watching the trees go by.
