Key to my Heart

5 White Girls and 5 Asian Boys (A SHINee SuJu story)

"Melissa, it's 6 am! We don't have to get there till ten!" I yelled as Melissa walked through my room and threw open the Hello Baby SHINee curtains I got specially made back in America.

"Get up, it will take hours to look presentable at our first day with SM Entertainment." I flipped her off as she walked out.

I threw off the white comforter and put on my Hello Kitty slippers. The light burned my eyes as I made my way into the hallway. Oona greeted me as we walked to the kitchen. Mel was cooking rice and eggs well Jessie made toast and started Kimchi stew. Just a regular day with the girls. Kaitlyn was the last to come out, already dressed in a pink zebra print sweater, jeans, and sneakers.

"That's not good enough." Melissa said. "We need to look professional for our first day."

All of us stared at her for a moment and then went on with our business. But that wasn't enough for Melissa.

"Would you at least let me do your hair and make-up?"

"No, I'm wearing my hat and doing my own make-up." Kaitlyn said, grabbing a piece of toast.

After breakfast everyone went off to get ready. I put of my black tee that said "My dark cloud pwns your sunny day", jeans, and wrangled my Osiris sneakers from my cat. After straightening my hair and applying ten coats of mascara I hurried out and met the other girls to leave for the SME building.

As soon as we got off of the bus Melissa made us line up for inspection. I felt like a trained dog, for Pete's sake! After passing inspection we entered the building. Oona walked up to the receptionist, since she's the only one that can speak fluent Korean.

"Excuse me, we're the new band." She said.

The woman looked up and pointed to the stairs.

"First office to your right." And then she started to work again.

"Thank you, Ahjuima." Oona waved us over and we started to walk  up the stairs.

Just as the Ahjuima told us, the second office to the right was the right one. We walked in and an assistant turned to us.

"Oh, you are the new band. Sorry but your appointment has been moved, please return in an hour." She smiled at us. "Feel free to look around the building, just don't get lost." Then the woman ushered us out and closed the door.

We all stood there for a moment before realizing we got to go around the building freely. Jessie smiled and looked at all of us. As we tried to walked away Melissa grabbed our shoulders.

"Unni!" Oona complained.

"No, I don't want you guys to botch our chances at actually keeping this deal." Mel was pissed.

The four of us looked at each other, thinking the exact same thing...

"You can't catch us all."

And we were off.

The halls were plain, besides a few band posters. I started to sing a bit to the music on my iPod. But once SHINee came on I couldn't resist singing to myself. The posters went by as I walked, my eyes plastered to them. Suddenly I collided with someone.

"Ah!" I said as I thudded on the floor. "Joesonghabnida."

I felt like a total pabo. When I opened my eyes I saw a hand that reached down to me. I took the hand and who ever it was helped me up. I dusted off my jeans and looked at who I had run into. My jaw fell wide open and I couldn't speak.

"Joesonghabnida!" I said again. "I-I wasn't looking where I was going and I'm new so I didn't know-" I realized he probably didn't understand me. "Joesonghabnida, dangsin-i naleul ihaehaji anh-assji?" (Sorry, you didn't understand me?)

"Ani."

I blushed terribly as I saw the one, the only, Kim Kibum of SHINee...

Not a reader sorry :/ but I do want to say don't let anyone bully you or make you feel bad about your writing. It may not be a piece of art or a masterpiece but the fact is, you took time to write it. You put effort into this. You put your heart and your work online, which is probably more than what most of the rude and uneeded commenters can say about themselves.

Writing is a process and a skill that is developed over time. Great writers didn't become great over night. So I hope you don't let rude, mannerless keyboard warriors hiding in the anonymity of the internet, callously cutting people down without even stopping to think of the effect they're having on someone.

Stay strong! Don't let anyone hold you down! Aja aja hwaiting!
