“Miss, the total comes up to 25,000 won.” the cashier announced, glancing at the young lady who seemed to be lost in deep thought.

“Do I need anything else?” she whispered to herself. “Hey, do you think I need anything else?” she muttered, leaning over the register. The cashier stood immobilized from bewilderment.

“Can you just pay and leave?!”

“Yeah, we’ve been standing for over ten minutes now!” The young lady turned to discover an enormous line formed behind her. Several faces were smeared with scowls.

“Eh? When—when did all these people get here?” Suddenly a phone went off. The girl looked around swaying back and forth clueless. The other customers waiting began tapping their feet impatiently, checking their watches every second.

“Excuse me, customer,” the cashier said, lightly poking at the befuddled costumer. “Your phone is ringing.”

“My phone? But I don’t—” she stopped mid-sentence as she found a brand new cell phone lying in her bag. It rang endlessly; reluctantly she pressed onto the talk button, bringing the device to her ear.

“YunHee-ah? Hello? YunHee is this you? Are you okay!” a voice interrogated.

“Ah! Aunty! It’s me.” YunHee replied, recognizing her aunt’s worried voice.

“Thank God! Where are you?! You were supposed to arrive an hour ago!”

“I know, I know. I’m running a bit late, I’m at the market. I should be there soon.” She assured, yanking out her wallet.

“Alright, give me a phone call when you arrive.” The woman instructed as she hung up.

“Shoot…” YunHee groaned, rifling through her wallet only finding 100,000 bills.

“Hey! Hurry up! We don’t have all night here, your majesty!” an irritated man hissed.

“Why are you so impatient?! Do you have change for a one hundred thousand bill? No? That’s what I thought! Why don’t you stand there and be quiet!” she growled, handing the cashier the money. Silence had fallen over the crowd as they watched the young lady snatch her bag and make her way towards the exit.

“But you forgot your change!” the cashier hollered as h
