 "I congratulate you."

That extremely random statement got me thinking for the entire class period.

My life has been in misery for months already and someone just congratulated me out of the blue after knowing all of my misfortunes, who wouldn't be so damn curious about that?

I didn't get to focus much on the class. Luckily, today's only about introduction and orientation. After we were dismissed, I ran straight to her. I never wanted to be left hanging for so long, you know. I hate thinking too much.

"Jessie. You do know you still owe me an explanation, right?"

"You're still the same, bes. Thinking too much out of little things." she answered back.

"Hey- Anyone you'll be left hanging like that will be as curious as me. Seriously, what's with the random greeting?"

"Why don't we eat first? Don't worry my treat." she said.

Throughout the whole lunch Jessica didn't talk much. I couldn't get to start a topic either. The way she looks at me totally intimidates me. It wasn't as icy as before, it’s even worse. Lunch-break turned out like negative 100 degree temperature of awkwardness. Not to mention, seems like all the students inside the cafeteria were staring at us with horrified expressions.

After that awkward moment, Jessica brought me to the university's open field and sat on one of the benches.

"Great. This is the perfect place." she said while looking at the baseball field.

"Uhmmm. So Jessie, are you gonna tell me now?"

"As you wish. See those four guys over there?" she pointed at one of the benches on the other side.

"Yeah. What's with them?"

"They are the most handsome and popular guys in the campus, like flower boys as what their fangirls say. "

"I see. But still I don't get it." I asked back.

She chuckled. "One of those four guys took an interest on you. So I say congratulations."
