Yuri POV

I sat on the grass in front of his tombstone. I lit up the small candle I brought and placed it on the marble. I also stacked the set of flowers I bought.

"Hey, appa."

*Sigh*.

"Sorry I visited just now. I wasn't able to visit you since January..."

"Yeah, I've been busy lately..."

"Oh, by the way, Umma sure picked the right location in this cemetery for you." *Sigh* " Did you know I almost flew to California just to visit you today? Umma didn't tell me that she already transferred you here in our home country."

"That woman... She really is sooooooooo..." *Sigh* "She's one hell of exceptional. I don't know how to describe her, really. All I am sure is because of Umma, I already look twenty years older than my age now."

*Sigh*. "If you're only here, I wouldn't be the only one stressing on her antics then..."

I chuckled, "Probably, you'll look like an eighty-year-old man now because of her."

"How are you, by the way?"

"I hope you're doing great there. Send my regards to halmunee and halapoji too."

"Anyway, I'm getting married in a few months’ time, appa..."

"And, I'm... I'm marrying someone like Umma too."

"But, prettier, I think. Don't tell umma I told you that."

"It's Jessica, by the way... Remember her? She grew up so beautiful and lovely. I didn't quite expect that."

"Nah, just kidding. I found her pretty ever since..."

"But, then..."

"But, then..."

*Sigh*.

"I don't deserve her too..."

"... I've been cheating on her, appa."

"With my first love too..."

"Just like what you did..."

"I guess, I am really your son after all..." *Sigh*. "Like father, like son..."

"Please help me stop my absurdity... I think... I think I have no way out in this..."

"I don't want to hurt her more..."

"Well, I can't just stop the wedding. Umma's going to kill me if that will happen."

"But, then... what will happen to me afterwards? If I ever stop this wedding of mine... will I just settle as my first love's paramour?"

*Sigh*. "Yeah, I know... It's ing ridiculous..."

"Anyway, I think I better go." I stood up. "I'll visit again soon. Bye...."

As I walk out to leave the cemetery, I noticed my half-brother from afar. Good thing, we were both at the far ends of the place. Else, he might have heard what I've been telling our father. Anyway, he seemed to be visiting someone else's tomb here too.

I approached him. I then noticed him just standing and staring at an empty space. It was nothing but grass.

I snapped, "Hey, Yoong."

He was startled. He quickly turned to face me. "H-hey."

"What are you doing here?"

"Uhhmm... just visiting."

"You're visiting the grass here or something?"

He chuckled, "No, no." He pointed at the empty space with his thumb. "This was actually the place where you were buried-- I mean, where your fake corpse was buried."

"Oh. I see..."

He stared back at it. I went near and stared at it too. I then asked, "Why are you visiting it, anyway?"

"Well..." He sighed deeply. "Whenever I have a problem... troubles... stress... or need someone to talk to... I always come here and visit."

That made me smile. "For four years?" I asked.

"Yeah... But it's almost five now, you know."

"Yeah, right..." I looked at him. "Why didn't you just approach me then?"

"I uhmm..."

"..."

"I'm sorry. I just got used to uhmm... visiting this place."

"What's your problem, anyway?"

"Huh?" He faked a chuckle. "N-nothing. I just feel like visiting here nowadays."

Hmmm... Probably, it's related to a 'stock investment' too...

He quickly redirected the topic. "What about you, hyung? What are you doing here?"

"I was just visiting my father's grave."

"Oh. I didn't know he was buried here too."

"Well, I just knew about it too." I chuckled. "Umma only told me this morning that she already transferred his remains here a few months ago."

"Ah. I see." He chuckled too. "And she didn't even tell you that before?"

"She said it just slipped off her mind." I sighed. "She's becoming forgetful lately."

"Probably, it's because of old age. Mom-- I mean, Miss Elise is so forgetful nowadays too."

"Really? It might be their 'best friend' thing."

"Oh. They're best friends?"

"Yeah. By the way, don't let it slip on Miss Elise that my mom's alive, okay? She said she'll kill me if the news gets to her best friend."

"Probably, she has already forgotten she'll kill you because of that."

I chuckled, "Yeah, probably." I then offered, "Say, uhhmmm, wanna err-- pay a visit to appa's grave?"

"Oh. Sure thing."

We then went to dad's grave. It was in silence, though. My mind's consumed of whether to tell him now or not about him being my half-brother.

"And here we are." I snapped as we stopped in front of dad's tomb.

"Hi, Mister Yunho." he greeted.

"Appa, this is Yoong. Remember him? My girly-named best friend back then? Yoona?"

"Yah, hyung!" he shouted in a complaint.

I chuckled and continued, "After few years, we met again. It turned out he really did change his name to Yoong as I suggested. He's really obedient towards me. He could have chosen a better name, but, yeah. I guess he really idolizes me that much."

"Really, huh?" He looked at me boringly.

I grinned at him, "What? You could have chosen a better name, you know, like Batman. Im Batman."

He laughed and facepalmed himself. "Gosh, hyung. That's somewhat a really stupid name."

"What? It's a cool name to use to hit on girls."

"And, they may think it's funny afterwards."

"No, no. They'll be proud and probably, brag to everyone they dated Batman."

He chuckled, "Well, I still have the freedom to change my name again, anyway. Probably, someday I will." Then, he redirected, "Wait. Speaking of which... Were you that Batman-costumed guy at the Hwang Murder House Halloween Party last year?"

"I guess I have no choice but to admit it now, huh..." I sighed, "Yeah. I was."

"If I didn't think you were 'dead' during that time, I would have recognized you. What were you doing in that party, by the way? Were you planning to show up to us exactly on Halloween?"

I chuckled, "That was my original plan. But, actually, I just want to enjoy the party myself."

"Well, can't blame ya. Dad really threw an awesome Halloween party. It would have been a sin if you miss it out."

"Yeah..." I responded. Then, we just stared at our father's tomb.

"May 15." he uttered.

"Yeah..."

"Same as Kyu's birthday... What a weird coincidence, isn't it?"

"Hmm. Wow." I looked at him. "I didn't realize that. That never crossed my mind for the past years."

"What? Don't tell me you've forgotten Sunkyu's birthday."

I stared back at the tomb. "I did not. I just didn't notice it, okay. Besides... I really don't pay much attention to the dates."

He chuckled, "Really, huh?"

I sighed, "Yes, really. There's no point in remembering the date of his death, anyway. It'll just bring heartache to me."

"Alright. Alright."

"..."

"But, at least, you can think of it differently."

"What do you mean?"

"Well... it kind of like... the day your father died, he came into your life. I mean, I'm not really saying he's somehow related to you or something, but, Sunkyu has always been a part of your life. Even if he was not your real son, you treated him like one."

That had me smiled. "Yeah. You're right." A tear then escaped from my eye. I immediately wiped it and faked a chuckle, "Damn, Yoong. You are really so gay."

He chuckled, "Gay? Really? What did I do this time, hyung, huh?"

"You are so much sentimental, sooo mushy."

"And what's too sentimental and mushy with what I said? I was just trying to point out my observation, okay."

"But, it's true."

"You're like telling me I'm too feminine and thinks like a girl. I am not soft, hyung."

"I am not saying you're soft, okay."

"Shut up, hyung."

I reiterated, "You are too sentimental." I looked at him and smiled again. "I guess that's our borderline." I stared back at our dad's tomb. "That's what makes us different from each other."

"Nope. I don't think so..."

"Oh yeah?"

"You are damn sentimental yourself. You're even mushier and softer than me. I think you're weaker than me, actually. You have a weaker heart."

I chuckled, "Yeah. You're probably right..."

...

...

...

"They were best friends too, right...?" he asked.

"Who? Appa and Sir Henry?"

"Yeah, them..."

"Yes. But, they were actually more than that... they were brothers too. I mean, step-brothers..."

"And they have fallen apart...?"

"Yeah... Uncle Vincent said it was originally because of envy. But, I think... it's really more because they've fallen in love with one woman."

"I see..."

"..."

"I can't blame the both of them, though. I mean, Miss Elizabeth sure is very pretty."

I chuckled, "So, you're crushing over your fiancé's mom?"

"Hey, I'm not crushing on her, okay..."

"..."

"Fine. I did have a crush on her. But, that was before, when it was the first time I met her. I think it was months before Tiffany and Sooyoung's wedding back then. But, I immediately shrugged it off when she started on plotting murder schemes against me."

"See. It wasn't that hard to admit it." Then, I asked, "Wait. She planned to kill you?"

He laughed loudly, "Yeah, she hated me so much. During that time, she thought I was having an affair with her daughter who was about to get married to Sooyoung. She never wanted me for her daughter back then."

"Why is it so?"

"I confronted her about it months after your death and she finally admitted to me why... She said..." He lowered his head and smiled faintly. "I remind her of Sir Henry during his younger days."

I chuckled, "Well, she could be right."

"Yah! I am not as crazy and evil as him, okay. I'm not saying he's still evil now, but--- Aisshh... Never mind."

I continued to , "Wait. I think she's de
