Tiffany POV

*17th-of-August-2016*

It's a very nice and bright Wednesday morning. Here I am, having my tea time at the balcony of our condominium unit. I took a deep breath in appreciation of the gentle atmosphere today. Hmmm. I think this will be a very, very great day.

"We have cleared out everything, Miss Hwang." Mr. Kang, the head personnel of the movers I hired, snapped from the door of the balcony.

I smiled in return. "Thank you very much for your wonderful service, Mister Kang." I stood and handed him the envelope of cash as my payment.

He bowed at me then smiled widely. "Thank you very much. It's been a pleasure to be at your service."

I smiled in return, "Thank you again."

He bowed at me again lastly. Then, he and his crew started to leave the unit. I went back to my seat at our outdoor dining and continued to cherish the very pleasant ambiance. However, after few more hours passed, the peace of mind I've been having has been disturbed by this one hell of troublous and good-for-nothing punk.

"WHAT THE ING HELL?!?!?!" he shouted angrily.

I went back inside the unit. He was there standing by the door of his former bedroom. "Oh. I'm glad you're finally back." I said, sounding quite pleased.

He turned to face me and glared, "Where the hell are my things?"

I chuckled as I went near, "Wait. Wait. YOUR? Are you sure they're yours?"

He gritted his teeth and didn't utter a response.

"You are as smart as your pesky dead father, right? You should have already picked up the meaning of this."

He then asked, still looking at me darkly, "So, you're kicking me out?"

I smiled and sighed in relief, "I'm glad you do get it." I went to the couch and threw a backpack in front of him. I sat afterwards on the couch and busied myself on browsing my iPad. "Take that with you. See? I'm still that generous. You can take away some of your ragged clothes and little money. That's in honor of your father, though. I don't want to be haunted by a pesky apparition around here, you know."

He groaned, "I'm gonna tell halmunee about this!"

"You see... You don't get it at all." I stood up and went near him. I smirked as I looked at him, "I'm kicking you out. That does not mean only here in my house. I'm kicking you out from my life. You're just nothing but a deadweight to me, anyway."

He balled his fists and continued to grit his teeth in anger while glaring at me.

I continued, "So, to sum it all up, I am dishonoring you. You're no longer part of my family. To make it clearer, I am no longer your mother, you're no longer my son. Do you now completely understand?"

"..."

"Oh. I'm sure you do. Anyway, I pretty much hope you have some sense of pride within yourself and not bother anyone in my family again nor anyone of my friends. That would be shameful, am I right? If you'll do that, you'll be nothing but a WORTHLESS PARASITE."

"…"

"Definitely, living alone will be easy for you. You have been raised by your father who you look up to because he was strong enough to live independently since he was fourteen, same as you now. I think it's quite given that you should be able to do the same, am I right?"

"…"

I sat back on the couch and busied again on my iPad. "You know your way out."

It was then a long silence. Afterwards, he finally picked up the backpack and stomped his way out of the unit.

The pesky kid's now gone for good. Then, my fiancé’s out of the country for business-related affairs and will return next week. Now, I can definitely sit back, relax, and enjoy my 'me' time for today and for the rest of the week.

Hmmm. No, this isn't just a very, very great day. This day is perfect~~

"Is everything okay there?" Yoong asked from the other line of the phone call connected to the audio system of my car.

"Oh. Yes, yes, of course."

"Where are you now?"

"Still driving… few more blocks and I'll arrive at the office."

"Great... So... About Sunkyu..."

"What about him?"

"Have you err-- finally made up with him?"

"Oh, yes, of course."

He sighed in relief, "I'm glad to hear that."

"Yes." I chuckled, "I am too. I'm glad that I finally removed some deadweights in my life."

"Huh?"

I chuckled again, "Nothing. I'm just randomly babbling."

"Alright. Have a great day, okay? Make sure you're not stressing yourself much."

"Okay, you too."

"I'll call again but only by tonight, though. I have four more client meetings for today."

"Sure thing, no worries."

"I'm hanging up now. Bye."

"Buh-bye."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

He ended the call. I focused myself back to the road. Few minutes of travel time, I finally arrived at the office. Quickly from the basement parking, I hopped into an available elevator. As I arrived at my floor, I found several of my staff chitchatting, eating, and fooling around. I looked at my watch. It's already 9:45am.

"Good morning, ma'am!" they all greeted cheerfully.

I smiled, "Good morning." I looked at one of them. "Junsu, may I just ask what time is it?"

"Err- it's 9:45 am, ma'am." he answered, still smiling.

"Yes, it sure is." I redirected back to everyone else. "So, what's the act? Why are you all not working? Office hours starts by 8:30 am and ends by 5:30 pm, one-hour lunch break starts at 12 pm, have you all forgotten that?"

They all looked away guiltily and no one bothered to answer.

I sighed, "Get back to work." And they all quickly complied. I redirected to my secretary, "Hyomin, I want you to call all of the subsidiary presidents. Inform them of an emergency meeting by 11 am. Make sure to have them bring their detailed sales and operations reports for 2015 and 2016 too. Also, call our partner audit firm to request copies of the latest audited financial reports of each of the companies. I want them all in tact at my office desk on or before 10:30am, okay?

"Yes, ma'am. But... uhmm... For the meeting… I received a sick leave request for your approval early this morning from BPE President Shin Mong."

"Uhuh. What is it this time?"

"It was stated he's having diarrhea today, ma'am."

"That is already for the third time this month." I sighed again, "I want no exemptions, Hyomin. Make sure everyone will be present later. Otherwise, make sure the one who will be absent from the meeting will hand me his or her resignation letter by tomorrow."

"Yes, ma'am." she bowed at me then hurriedly went back to her desk. She started on typing over her computer unit then called someone on the telephone.

I went to my office. A few minutes later, Hyomin has arrived holding a set of documents. "Here are your requested financial statements, ma'am." She placed them on top of my desk.

"Thank you."

"I have already contacted all the Presidents, ma'am. They all confirmed that they will come. President Shin Mong confirmed his attendance too. He said he already took medicine for his diarrhea."

"Great. Have the building maintenance ensure the board room's neat and clean. Also, order someone to buy for snacks, beverages, and lunch meals too. I am planning to hold this meeting for the rest of the day. I don't want to hear complaints I'm depriving them of their right to eat."

"Right away, ma'am." she answered. She bowed again and left the room.

I began to scan the contents of the financial statements. Few more moments of scanning the contents, I noticed something unusual. I called for Hyomin through the phone. "Please return to my office, Hyomin."

"Right away, ma'am."

Without a split second, she's back. "What is it, ma'am?"

"This audit firm directly provided us these reports last year, right?"

"Yes, ma'am. Their messenger was the one who delivered them to our office. It was even sent in soft copies from their company e-mail too."

"They have authenticated these newly requested copies too, right?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Then, why the contents of these new ones different from what were reported last year?"

She looked at me in confusion, "Really?"

"Yes, really. I completely remember what were reported to me last year, Hyomin."

"So, the audit firm we hired deceived us?"
