Taeyeon POV

It was the 31st of March, 2013, the day Jessica is about to leave the country. I decided to accompany her and at the same time, help her on packing her things too.

"I have already agreed on you taking care of me two weeks ago. Please stop this now." Jessica said.

"Like I said, I insist. We didn't get to see each other around for weeks. Besides, this is your last day in Korea, I don't want you to feel alone."

"I've always been alone in my life. There's no need for me to feel that I'm not alone."

"Jess, just let me, okay? At least, just this last time."

She sighed, "Fine."

"By the way, Sooyoung texted me. He just returned from Las Vegas early this day and he'll be dropping by to see you off."

"He left?"

"Well, I didn't know too that he left."

"So, Las Vegas, huh... Hmm..."

"What's with Las Vegas?"

She smirked at me, "More on who."

I looked at her in confusion, "I'm clearly not getting this."

She chuckled, "Gosh I'm so gonna miss that distorted face of yours."

"Aissshh-- not that again."

Few moments later, Sooyoung has arrived. And you know what? He's still as cocky as ever. The moment I opened the door for him, he just rushed inside, not even bother to look at me or anything, then hugged Jessica. "I'm gonna miss you." he said.

"You're gonna miss me? Seriously?" She chuckled as they broke away from their hug.

"Yeah. Why?"

"Okay. Look." She wandered her eyes around in a very cute manner as if she's trying to find the right words to say. Then, she returned her gaze at him, "We never talk. As in, never."

"Hey, we did."

"Just one-liners." She chuckled. "We actually never talk at all, like you know, heart-to-heart something. How are you going to miss me then?"

He chuckled in return, "It's not like we need to have a long conversation or anything before I can say I will miss you."

"Oh yeah? What are you going to miss on me then?"

"Your emo-gothic make-up look? You're the only one who can pull off that look awesomely."

She laughed, "Okay, that's plausible enough."

Then, he rubbed his chin playfully as if thought of something, "But you know what? You're right. We never really talked at all. It's like there's a very big invisible wall between us implying that we cannot be more than the relationship like we have right now."

"Maybe that's the wall of friend zone, Mr. Choi?"

"Yeah, that's probably it."

"So, what's your point on bringing that up?"

"Good one." He smirked creepily as he went closer to her. "You know... we can make that wall break down once in a while. I wouldn't mind."

I quickly snapped "You know, I'm here right?"

"Shut up, we're talking here." he said.

She then giggled, "Yeah you won't mind, I won't mind, but, SOMEONE ELSE will mind." She winked at him. "Someone from abroad, perhaps?" and she wiggled her eyebrows cutely.

He looked at her as if confused. "What are you talking about? No one else will mind." he declared, yet, it sounded like a lie to me.

"Stop denying. Taeyeon just told me earlier you went to Las Vegas."

He went away and sat on the free chair. "So what? I just wanted to have fun there, you know."

"Alright." Then, she looked at him in so much meaning, like she was teasing him about something. For some reason I really do feel left out in here.

"Don't look at me like that, Jessica Jung, or I won't hesitate to kiss you."

She laughed heartily, "You're really cute when you're happy like that, Soo."

"I'm not happy, okay!" he shouted in annoyance.

"Whatever."

"By the way, before you go," He looked at me. "And you too."

"Wh-what? M-me?" So, he knew my plan all along?

"Yeah, you." He said then looked back at her. "I want to tell you guys something."

"About what?" she asked.

He breathed deeply first then stated, "I saw Seohyun in Las Vegas, probably, around three weeks ago."

"Really? What was she doing there?" I asked.

"She met up with a woman named Sara Shin. And you know what's more intriguing? That mysterious woman knows Tiffany."

"Hmmm. That seems to be interesting..." Jessica mumbled as she looked away. It seems like thoughts have started to consume her head.

"And also... Henry Hwang was there too."

She smirked, "And everything becomes easier for me."

"No, don't interfere on this one." Sooyoung stated, "I will be the one to deal with this."

"You know you can't do that. You have your studies and upcoming responsibility on your family's business. You better focus on your own life before anything else."

"What are you? My Mother? I can do whatever I want, okay."

"Fine." She sighed. "You do yours, I do mine. Let's just not get in each other's ways."

"Say... where are you gonna go, anyway?" he asked.

"It's a secret."

"Don't tell me you're going to Vegas?"

"Hmmm. No. The one I need to meet has already moved to another place."

"Ah I see."

"Anyway, are you guys gonna stay here or something? My flight is scheduled mid-afternoon."

"We're gonna accompany you wherever you go for today." I said.

"No, stay here. I'll just drop by in Anseong Prison to say goodbye to my father."

"Great." Sooyoung snapped. "We'll just be waiting here for you. Besides, I need to talk some out of this midget, anyway."

"Why?" she asked him in confusion.

"Well, you know… to knock some sense out of him."

She smiled, "Alright."

I quickly butted in, "We'll just be placing your luggage in my car so you'll be ready to go later on."

"Taeyeon, I'm just going to take a cab."

"No. I'll be sending you off. No more complaints."

She sighed loudly, "Fine. But, this is the last time, okay? Promise?"

"Yes. I promise."

"I'll see you guys later." she said and left.

Immediately, Sooyoung snapped, "Whatever you're thinking, stop it."

I faked a chuckle, "What the hell are you talking about?"

"I totally know you a hundred percent, Taeyeon. I know you'll be following her."

"So what if I do?"

"You're a complete idiot."

"I love her, Soo. I know that you are much aware of that. Won't you do the same thing for Hyoyeon, huh?"

"I would if she does love me back and not in love with anyone else but ME. You're being too much of a ing idiot on still trying to win her heart when you already lost to Yoong long time ago. Just let her go, man."

"It doesn't matter to me if she's in love with someone else or not. This is for me. I want to stay by her side because that's what makes me happy."

"You should at least consider her feelings here. Every time you try to in to her life, she gets to feel guiltier and guiltier. It's so obvious with the way she looks at you, you know. And besides, you can never fool me. Somewhere deep inside your heart you want to win her back so badly."

"..."

"You should just focus on your life. You have a year left before you graduate and a board exam to finish, right? You better get yourself ready for your future."

"My future doesn't matter to me anymore."

"Stop being ridiculous!" he shouted in frustration. "Have you ever reflected to yourself? Why would Jessica choose a person who doesn't have dreams of his own? Think about it. What will you prove to Jessica that she deserves someone like you? You have to establish yourself on something, man. Prove something."

"..."

"We're not getting any younger, Taeng. We can't just decide on something so rashly just because we like it."

"I know my decision's stupid. I know if I sum up everything that I can give her against what Yoong can provide, I'll lose. But... but, if she'll choose me... Jessica and I... we can grow together, we can... live our lives just because we have each other to depend on."

"You're not getting my point." He went near and tapped my shoulder. "At least, become someone who is dependable, Taeng, before trying to win her back. That's my point."

"Knock, knock, knock!" A woman snapped. The apartment door was already opened as Tiffany acted on knocking again. "Sorry to interfere on your 'deep man-to-man talk', guys." She went near and flashed us her famliar eye-smile. "Hi."

"Hey, Tiff." I greeted. "Jessica just left for her dad."

"It's okay. I'll just wait for her here too." Then, she looked at Sooyoung. "Hey there. Long time no see, huh."

"Yeah." Then, he quickly looked away. The same as Jessica earlier, Tiffany looked at him weirdly. It's like, again, teasing him on something.

"The hell, Tiff. Stop looking at me like that." he said then went back and sat to the free chair where he was earlier.

She smiled cheekily, "What? I was just looking at you."

"Yeah, whatever."

"How's Vegas, by the way?"

"Fun. I enjoyed each and every minute I was there."

"Okay."

Sooyoung then glared at her, "Stop that."

"Okay." and she grinned at him.

He sighed loudly then redirecte
