After the storm, that was Ga In suddenly getting upset, passes, the variety show is long over. Our phones are obviously flooded with messages and calls from friends, acquaintances and the media. Seulong hyung insists that we finish doing what we started off with. This time, he and Jinwoonie insist that they need to reprise their roles of commentators in the studio. They manage to find it online, and we’re back to watching Kwon and Ga In on television.

“2AM!” The BEG noona shout before I can even reveal that Ga In likes 2AM best. The rest of 2AM pump their fists in the air. Seulong hyung and Jinwoon even stand up and bow to the rest of the imaginary audience.

“Of course it has to be Im Seulong!” Seulong hyung boasts proudly. Everyone else merely laughs at his antics, because it is shortly after revealed that Ga In’s favourite member isn’t him. “This is unfair competition!”

“Kwonnie!” Everyone chimes in synchrony when the question about ideal kind pops up.

“Why are you even hesitating?”

“Ga Innie will write your name down!” Narsha noona screams at the screen, as if anything she says now would have changed the result.

“Are you stupid or what, Jinyoung hyung?”

“Please, not Jinyoung hyung, use your brains!”

“That Boom seriously needs to zip his mouth! Kwonnie is perfect for Ga In-ah!” Jea noona doesn’t mince her words.

They skip the best friend question, which leads Ga In to immediately jump to her own defence, “Ong! They had a question asking who my best friend was. Kwonnie nailed it.”

“She wants to collaborate with Kwon-ah!” Miryo noona blurts even before the question is completely asked.

“On more than just work.” Changmin hyung sneakily adds.

Of course they are right again. They might as well have been the ones answering the questions.

The room finally starts to differ when the question about the most talented member of BEG comes up. BEG throws around all four names, and 2AM is intelligent enough to stay out of it.

“By the way, Kwonnie is completely right. Among ourselves, we don’t even agree. What we do know is that BEG is more than the sum of its parts, and that’s what matters.” Narsha noona effectively deflects all the potential tension that could have been stirred up—though I would think they would know how to handle it just fine.

Everything in the middle is skipped and only to ask if Ga In would date someone within the industry. It is clear that the programme director is perfectly aware of what trick he is pulling. Everyone bursts out laughing.

“The question is wrongly set. It isn’t hypothetical!” Shrieks Jea noona in amusement.

“She dates someone within the industry. That is fact.” Seulong hyung agrees, with violent nodding of his head.

“I am surprised they didn’t probe any further.” Miryo noona comments, but once the words leave , an eye catching captions pops up—Who might she be dating, we wonder—accompanied by the polaroid of us by the pool. “I will take that back.”

The drama continues as they ask which group Ga In would choose to be in if not BEG.

“Anywhere where she can be the leader.” Narsha noona deadpans.

“Have more trust in our maknae, she wouldn’t go anywhere. I believe you, Ga In-ah.” Miryo noona pats Ga In’s back and smiles. The answer is revealed and Miryo noona looks triumphantly at Narsha noona.

The room reverts back to complete consensus when the question about Ga In’s favourite agency is asked.

“The best part is that JYPE adores her too!” Narsha noona pipes up.

At this point, there’s photos of Jinyoung hyung, Seulong hyung, me and the entire 2AM popping up. It’s labeled fanboy idol, best friend, ideal kind and favourite group respectively. I chuckle inwardly, but no one pays attention.
