Soon I found myself restlessly seated on the beach chair, carefully surveying the surroundings, just in case there were people that appeared to recognize any of us.

“What are you looking for?” She returned to her seat on the beach chair.

“Potential trouble.”

“Any?”

“None, there’s only a few foreigners chilling by the pool.”

“Whatever! If we get caught then it’s just our luck.” Ga In reached for the sunscreen and started slathering it all over herself—even under her loose shirt, I noted.

After doing a final check of the surroundings, I stripped my shirt off. Only part of the reason was that I didn’t want to get my shirt wet, and it was awkward to apply sunscreen under my shirt. I caught the look that Ga In sneaked, and the small smile that fleetingly graced her lips.

“None the worse are you? Still yummy.” Ga In whispered, seemingly pleased.

“Like it?” Compliments usually did not come this easily. She grinned and threw me the bottle of sunscreen. Then she leaned back and watched while I carried out the otherwise mundane task of applying sunscreen.

“Since when did I not?”

“Well, the normal Ga In would say that virtually the rest of 2AM and 2PM have better bodies.” The line escaped my mouth before I could bite my tongue, it wasn’t my intention to quibble with her today.

She giggled, “Probably? But they don’t suit me. They’re so tall that I’ll have to strain my neck just by looking at them, and they’ll make me look like a ground midget. So Ga Innie still likes Kwonnie best.”

“You just insulted my height.” I pretended to sniff, “But since Ga Innie likes Kwonnie best, I’ll pretend I didn’t hear it.”

“I’ve no use for someone that tall anyway.”

“I’m just glad.” I scooted over to sit beside her, sunscreen now done with “So should I invite you to go into the water, demand that you go into the pool or carry you in.”

“Carry me in. But that isn’t really the question is it?” Ga In winked, and pulled her loose shirt over her head, “I said I’d give you what you wanted.” She breathed almost seductively into my ear. I tried not to stare at her with an open mouth, but my brain kept repeating that she’s so gorgeous.

“You’re so beautiful.” I effectively marvel.

“It appears you’ve just discovered.” I think I failed to keep my awe hidden.

“I’m seriously starting to question why I let you be all y, even if it’s for work.” She is that much more gorgeous in real life, and this remains uncaptured in photos. “I should have just put my foot down and threatened to burn down the Nega building.”

“Still jealous?”

“Difficult not to be. When you’re the darn y noona maknae and I’m the unattractive krill of the industry.” Even while I uttered snarky words, I’m aware that my eyes were roaming all over.
