THE NEXT DAY

Both of them wake up like usual today. Taeyeon with his daily routine which is started with morning exercise and then get ready to work. Because od he woke up little bit early today, he can prepare a bit advance breakfast. A few breakfast ideas pop up in his mind. Taeyeon began to work on it. While Tiffany is getting ready to office. Today she wear white button back shirt with super slim black low rise jeans. Since she didn’t rushed today, she wear a pair of earrings. Then she put on make up. There is something different in her make up today. Today, she wear matte lipstick color. Usually she’ll just wear red or other common colors but today she got a different mood, so why not trying new thing?

Taeyeon at downstairs went up after finish cooking breakfast. He think of wearing a smart casual style today. He doesn’t want to feel uncomfortable with those coat and so on. it makes him feel hot actually. Plus, he didn’t have any important meeting today. Taeyeon stand in front of his walk in wardrobe. He is pondered the question what kind of smart casual outfits he should wear today. 3 minutes of wondering, finally he decided to just wear a skinny long sleeves white shirt and match it with black slim fit suit ankle pants. Black and white. Hm what a nice color on a nice day!

Like having a telepathy super power, both of them come out from their room at the same time. Taeyeon looked at Tiffany. Don’t know why, but she look extra beautiful today. What is different with her today? He look every inch of her. Aish not that ert kind of look. He just see her in a shot. He then realized that her lips is different today. Usually the one that stand out whenever he saw her is her lips because she always wear red and other bright color. But today, her lip look natural.

Tiffany too look at Taeyeon with ‘unblinked’ eyes. Yeah the author just made the new words. With those skinny white shirt, Taeyeon’s muscular body has been exposed. She can see his chunks of muscle. Plus with the skinny suit pants make his skinny legs more attractive. Tiffany knows Taeyeon really care about his outfits and he also pro in choosing his own outfits. Whatever he wears, it always match him and make him look good.

“Hey! What a nice timing! Come, let’s breakfast.” Taeyeon then walked towards the stairs.

Tiffany followed his back and thinking. This man really care about breakfast, he never skipped his breakfast. Indeed, he’s the complicated Kim Taeyeon.

“Why do you always have a breakfast? Wouldn’t you be late?” Tiffany asked while they walk down the stairs.

“Because I might skip my lunch and plus breakfast can replenishes your glucose supply and provide other essential nutrients to keep your energy level up throughout the day. Now understand?” Taeyeon explained with a smile. He then take a sit at the head of the dining table.

“Hm. You really sound like a health advisor now.” She said after nodded few times.

Tiffany who was also about to take her seat feel impressed by his explanation. What can she say is this guy almost be a perfect guy. She also take a seat at the dining table. She widen her eyes when she saw the food had been prepared by him.

“Whoa! You make this? How can you know how to make this kind of toast?” Taeyeon make smoked salmon toast for them.

“This? I watched it in tv show. I just try to made it today. Don’t say anything about the taste though. Keke.” He pointed at the breakfast menu. He saw that this kind of breakfast is just a simple dish and took only 10 minutes took it. So he try it.

Tiffany take a big bite of the toast. It look so appetizing and it was so tasty. This guy really have a magic hand. He could cook everything he want! Tiffany widen her eyes. The taste is so good until she can’t say anything. This was the priceless expression of her.

“Oh. My. God.” She said it one by one.

“I think you should start another business Taeyeon-ah. You really have to.”

He look at Tiffany. What business? He didn’t understand what she is trying to say.

“What business? I already have one, I can’t take another one Fany-ah.” This guy was so blur! Wake up Kim Taeyeon!

Tiffany carefully swallow the remaining toast. She then let out a sigh. Look like this guy didn’t understand a bit at all.

“What I mean here is, you could open a restaurant! This is so good Tae!”

Taeyeon who also take a bite also impress with the taste. It taste okay with him. somehow, he kinda feel proud of himself because can cook this well. But then he remember something. he thought he heard Tiffany call him with a nick name. He then turn his head, looking at Tiffany.

“What did you said?”

“I said you could open a restaurant.” Is he deaf or what?

“No-no after that.” Taeyeon shook his head. That is not the word he want to heard.

“What? ‘This toast is good’?” She don’t know what Taeyeon trying to do here.

“No after the ‘good’ word. What did you said after that?”

“Um. Ah that. I said Tae. Why?” Tiffany now remember what did she said to him. Didn’t know since when the ‘Tae’ become his new name.

“Since when I got that name huh?” He look at her and curved on of his eyebrows as an ‘unsure’ sign.

“Since this morning!” She replied with cheerful tone. Today was really a good start for her.

“How dare you cut off my name….. Uargh..!” Taeyeon raise his hand that hold a fork and act like a pirate in the movie. Tiffany laugh loudly when she saw that.

“Hahahahaha! Yah!”

“You too! You cut off my name into Fany. See?” Now she glares at Taeyeon who still in his ‘pirate’ mode.

Taeyeon put down his hand and drink the coffee. He then said to her:

“It because your name was too long! Ti. Ffa. Ny. See it has 3 syllabus! My name only got 2 syllabus so why did you make it more short?” He smirk.

“To make it cuter? Tae is cute though. Don’t you think it? ” She said boldly. Taeyeon who continue to eat his toast choked upon hearing her answer. This girl, jinjja.

Taeyeon can feel his face burning especially his ears. It feel so hot and his ears totally can be seen now. He keep fanning his face and drink the coffee. Whoops, wrong choice Kim Taeyeon. Coffee make you feel more hot. Sweat started to form. Darn it…

Tiffany saw his red face. She just let out a small lough. Both of then back to silent, in the process finishing their breakfast. Before they went to the office, Taeyeon once again put his car keys on the table.

“Use my car. I’ll bring your car this weekend okay?”

Tiffany who is put on her black stiletto look up and saw the car keys already being put on the table. She then move her eyesight to Taeyeon who was sitting on the small chair, tying his shoelaces. This guy really have good sense of fashion. With those outfits he wear, he matched it with black tassel loafer that showed his bare ankle. Indeed, he’s the clothing company CEO though.

“Thanks Tae.” She thanked him and Taeyeon smile to her. He likes his new nickname.

“Tae? She’s right. That is cute.” – Taeyeon.

Both of them arrive at the company at the same time. Well they live together right, of course they’ll also go to office together. Just they’re not in the same car. Taeyeon walk into the office first. He’s been greeted by Jiyeon at the front desk while Tiffany followed his back.

Coincidentally, Sunny went out from her office because she want to get something from Jiyeon saw Taeyeon and Tiffany. She spotted something interesting over there. With a happy tone, she greet both of them.

“Good morning both of you!”

Both, Tiffany and Taeyeon look at Sunny. Why does she look like ‘extra’ happy today? Active as always is a must but her energy today is kinda different.

“Well good morning to you too shorty. Why are you so hyped up?” Taeyeon said flatly. The friendly, nice, happy Taeyeon that Tiffany earlier when they still at home now has gone.

“Morning too Sunny!” While Tiffany still with her usual character. Cheerful and shot people with her eye smile.

Sunny look at Tiffany and Taeyeon. She noticed something at them today. She keep looking at both of them. Taeyeon feel weird with his friend. What is wrong is her? His eyebrows curved and his gazes followed Sunny’s eyes. Sunny then finally said something.

“Are you both couple today?”

What question she’s asking now? The heck?!

“What couple Sunny?” Tiffany asked. Her expression also showed that she is confused with Sunny sudden question.

“Then what is this?” She pointed at them.

“What with all this match look? Omo both of you look like a couple now!” Now they understand. They both looking at each other and see their outfits. They compare it and the result is they have a same style today and also the color. White shirts, black pants and also the color of their shoes… also same.

Taeyeon let out a small smile but quickly cut it off as he didn’t want anyone to notice it. He looks at Tiffany who was still looking at him too. He then take a glance at her and said:

“It just a coincidence I think isn’t Tiffany-ssi?”

Tiffany snapped out her thought. She look at him and nodded.

“Yes-yes Mr.Kim.”

“I better get to work now, excuse me.”  

 She then bow and make her way to her office. In her heart, she really didn’t expect that they’ll wear the same style today. Went out from the room at the same time, and now wear the same outfit? It is really coincidence? Or fate? No one knows.

IN OTHER OFFICE

Jessica who is busy in this past few weeks suddenly thought of her best friend, Tiffany. She has been so busy until they didn’t contact at all after Tiffany discharged from the hospital. Jessica feel really guilty towards her best friend. She look like bad friend now. She didn’t be with her when tiffany in need and only visit her once when she in the ward. With her new big cases and more complicated she even hard to find time for herself. Went to work in the morning and back in the late night. That is her routine now. Like a lifeless 27 years old lady.

 Jessica now handling a new criminal cases. She have to defend a juvenile prisoner. He’s only 17 years old, yet he was charged in killing an old man and also involved in gangsterism. Poor this boy, he came from a broken family and didn’t get much attention from them. He was send to the orphanage when he was 10 years old. Children there always bully and make fun of him. He totally got a mental tortured and also physically beaten by the other kids. When he’s out from the orphanage, with no proper education he can’t find work anywhere. Plus, he still underage. He be friend with a wrong people and finally involved in negative things. He is a good boy actually, when Jessica taking his statement he was little bit scared of the ‘ice princess’ but finally comfortable after an hour talking with her. Things become more complicated when this boy was diagnosed having a mental problem. He’ll change his mood in just a split seconds and back to normal after that. Because of this, Jessica has to refer to Seohyun as she is the expert in those matters.

She take her phone and dialed Tiffany’s number. Jessica wait for Tiffany to respond. In just a few seconds ‘beeping’, the recipient pick up her call.

“Jessica Jung! Where have you been?!” Usually she’s the one yell to Tiffany, but this time it a reversal.

“Calm down you Tiffany Hwang, I didn’t go anywhere. I’m always here. Hahaha.”

“What so funny about? I’m serious here. You’ve been M.IA since I discharged. Huh!” Tiffany make a sound like she was sulking.

“Omo omo. Our Tiffany here is sulking? I’m sorry Tiff. I got caught up with my work here. You know my new case is so-” Her words being cut off by Tiffany.

“I know. You’re handling a big case now right?” In fact Tiffany didn’t get mad at all. She knows that what case she’s been handle of. Her case is a hot case now as it got many attention even from the teenagers so it often appear in the news. Tiffany did watch and read about it and she keep following the update of the case.

“Oh? You know?”

“I watch it in the news pabo-yah.”

“So, you didn’t mad?” Jessica want a confirmation answer from her. It hard to persuade a sulking Tiffany Hwang.

“Hahaha did you really believe that I mad? Have you ever see me get mad with you, Jessica Jung?”  Jessica feel being toyed. Now, Tiffany really gonna get it from her.

“Yah! I thought you really mad with me! Ah by the way, are you okay now?” Tiffany on the other line laughing when heard Jessica yelling at her.

“Yes I’m fine now Jessie.”

“Let’s go out for a lunch today Jess?” Tiffany asked as she really miss her best friend and thought of spending time with a lunch.

Jessica back to her normal self. She remember that she have an appointment with Seohyun today as they was working together now to solve Jessica’s case.

“I’m afraid I can’t Tiff. I got a lunch appointment today. But, let’s replace it with this weekend? I’ll make my time for you. Alright?” Jessica offer a deal.

“Hm. Alright then. Promise?”

“I promise. I just want to check on you. Bye workatiff! Hahaha!” Jessica cut off the line.

“Yah!”

Since Jessica is busy now and also Tiffany didn’t have many Korean friends except her colleagues, she often stay at the office during lunch. Sometimes she’ll go out with them, but most of her time is she stayed in the office.

Taeyeon, who always observe it find that Tiffany like to stay alone at the office. He once has asked her why did she always stay at the office, but her answer is because she want to finish up her work. No wonder, her friends give her “workatiff” as a nickname. It really suit her though.

Taeyeon often dragged her out from the office when he doesn’t have any meeting or appointment outside the office. These days, they always been spotted together by other staffs. Until there is gossip about them has spread all over the office. This gossip also heard by Taeyeon’s father. he didn’t know whether the gossip was true or not, but he’ll found out later on.

Taeyeon didn’t mind hearing all those gossip but Tiffany feel uncomfortable with it. Other female staffs will whispering to each other everytime she walk in front of them. They said she’s a new worker but now want to seduce Taeyeon. It’s true she attracted to him, but not his money. If only they know about that. Tiffany remember when Taeyeon call her into his office, he said that he knows that all the staffs now talking about them. He just remind her to ignore them.

“Ignore those people. Just live your life. They don’t even know about what you’ve been through Fany-ah.” Tiffany remember those words.

They now become a real friend and Taeyeon always try to ‘shield’ her ears from hear all those stupid things by keep her motivated.
