"So I was walking towards the transfer counter since I needed to get the next available flight to LA and that was when I bumped into Jihyun." I smiled as Jihyun nodded her head before she started to narrate her part of the story, right up until we reached the event hall. 

The wedding had ended about two hours ago. Tiffany and Taeyeon had spend some time to thank the guests who had attended the ceremony and after everyone had left the reception, the girls proceeded back to Tiffany's place.

For the past 30mins, I had been explaining to them about what happened at the airport which resulted in my delayed arrival. Jihyun was there with us so she also shared her part of the story. After all that, we started talking about other topics until Jihyun had to excuse herself to check-in to the hotel that she had made reservation at. She had an early meeting tomorrow which was why she couldn't stay much longer.

"I'll send you to the door." I stood up when Jihyun was about to leave the table. 

She said goodbye and walked to the door with me beside her. Her driver was already outside waiting for her as I thanked her once again for all her help.

"If you are really that grateful for everything, treat me to dinner once you're back in Seoul. I still need to return your phone though." She smiled as I nodded my head. "I'll see you around, Eunjin. Thanks for inviting me to the wedding earlier and convey my thanks to the rest of the girls for their hospitality."

I waved my hands at her as I watched her entered the car before it moved off. Closing the door behind me, I made my way back to the table where the rest of the girls were gathered.

"I didn't know Ms Kang was so friendly. She looked so aloof during meetings so I thought that she's arrogant. But after talking to her during the reception, she seems like a totally different person. It was actually nice talking to her." Sunny commented, the moment I sat down beside Krystal.

"I was surprised too. We chatted a lot during the journey from Seoul to here, except for the times that I doze off. I guess she has that aloof aura only during work. Maybe to show her status as the CEO of the company. But I have to agree with you Sunny, that she's someone nice to talk to." I chuckled to myself. "By the way, what's the plan for tonight?"

"Will you be staying the night or are you flying back soon?" Taeyeon asked as I replied that I would fly back on Tuesday night. "Are you sure you can be away from work that long, especially when you don't have your phone with you?"

"I've rescheduled all my meetings to Thursday and Friday before I flew off and I've already informed my secretary to contact me through email for any work-related matters. Any emergencies, I told her to call Yuri or Sunny." Yuri and Sunny looked at each other in surprised as I just grinned at them. "Furthermore, I want to spend some time with my girlfriend too."

I turned to face Krystal, expecting her to be happy but I was surprised when I saw a slight frown on her expression.

"Even if you stayed until Tuesday, I still need to return to my dorm by tomorrow night. Our classes will start next week." Krystal's monotonous reply caused me to be confuse even further.

"Why don't you just stay at Tiffany's place and I'll drive you to school on Monday and Tuesday morning? My flight is at night." I suggested but Krystal shook her head, citing that it'll be a hassle for us. "Are you, by any chance, upset with me about something? Because you don't seem excited that I'm staying longer."

"Don't ask and don't assume if you're not even sure about it." Krystal's voice was more firm than usual and it caught everyone's attention.

Suddenly, the atmosphere turned a little tense as a deep frown appeared on my face while Krystal avoided eye contact with me.

"So Fany-unnie, where will the private gathering be held later?" Yoona broke the silence as everyone turned to look at Tiffany.

"Are you okay?"

I turned to my side and smiled at Yuri who took a seat beside me. I took a sip of my drink before leaning back against the couch.

"Do I look like I'm okay?"

"You don't. Have you talked to Krystal yet?"

Shaking my head, I turned to look out through the glass door where most of the girls were gathered. Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun were busy preparing the BBQ for all of us. Jessica, Krystal, Sulli and Luna were in the pool while Sunny, Taeyeon and Tiffany were gathered at the round table, chatting away.

Tiffany and Taeyeon had brought us to their own house, which they had just purchased a month before the wedding. It was a surpise for all of us since we were not aware about it. The interior design ideas, mostly came from Taeyeon and we by saying that we knew it from the moment we saw the purple lightings. But Taeyeon explained that Tiffany had a full control of the bedroom which was covered mostly in pink. All of us laughed at her confession. The house would be like their vacation home everytime they come back to LA so while they were away, Tiffany's cousin would take care of the house upkeeping.

Ever since that short hostile conversation about 4hrs ago, Krystal had avoided me the whole time. We left Tiffany's parents house in 3 cars and Krystal purposely chose the car with Sunny, Sulli and Luna in it. She was supposed to take the same car as me, Sooyoung and Yoona but she exchanged her place with Seohyun at the last minute. Tiffany, Taeyeon, Yuri and Jessica took the last car as we made our way to the supermarket to get the stuff for the bbq.

Even at the supermarket, Krystal stuck close to Sulli and Luna by clinging her arms around them. Seeing that there was no chance for me to talk to her, I ended up walking back to the car and just waited inside for everyone to finish their shopping.

"Are you just going to sit here and wait for a miracle to happen?" Yuri asked as I let out a sigh. "You took the effort to stay longer to be with her. Don't tell me that you're going to let this drag and spoil your effort?"

"How am I suppose to talk to her when she's obviously avoiding me? And I don't even know why she's upset with me in the first place."

"You don't know? She's jealous, pabo-yah." Yuri gave a short reply as she took my drink to have a sip.

"Jealous? Really? Of who?"

"Trust me. I'm dating her sister, remember? Sica will also act like that when she's jealous. Becoming very quiet suddenly, showing no reaction and then baaamm... she pour cold water on you." Yuri explained in exaggeration, making me laughed at her reaction. "Isn't it obvious that she's jealous of Ms Kang? Didn't I tell you that both of them were glaring at you since you arrived with Ms Kang to the wedding?"

"Jihyun? Really?" I asked again as Yuri pretended as if she wanted to punch me because I kept saying the word 'really'. "But there's nothing going on between us."

"Of course there's nothing. If there was something going on between the both of you, I can guarantee that you would have died in the hands of the Jung sisters." Yuri rolled her eyes at me as I pouted. "She's just feeling insecure, Eunjin. Go and talk to her. She needs your assurance."

"Assurance? You make it sound like she's doubting me? Is she?" A frown appeared on my face as Yuri shook her head.

"If you look at the situation from her point of view, you might feel a little insecure too. Imagine your girlfriend arriving with a beautiful lady who is the CEO of a company. In terms of compatibility, you will look better with Ms Kang. A Director who owns a shipping company with a CEO who owns an airline company."

"Yah!! Krystal is way much better than her. Because Krystal owns my heart." I said with a firm voice as I saw Yuri cringed a little with my reply.

"That's why I asked you to assure her. In a relationship, assurance from each other is something you need to do, once in a while."

Yuri patted my thighs before standing up and leaving me alone in the house as I watched her joined Jessica in the pool. My eyes were focused on Krystal who seemed oblivious of my staring as she continued laughing along with Sulli and Luna.

Krystal's POV

"Yah, Krystal. Until when are you going to give Eunjin-unnie the cold shoulder? She's been trying to get to you but you're avoiding her." Sulli nudged Krystal by the shoulder as she took a quick glance at the glass door. "She looks so pitiful, sitting there alone."

"Nobody ask her to sit alone. She can always sit outside her with the other unnies. Furthermore, she had Yuri-unnie to talk to."

"That was earlier. Now Yuri-unnie is at the other end of the pool with your unnie. This is suppose to be a happy gathering. But it's slightly dampened because of your jealousy." Luna started to nag at me as I pouted.

I didn't mean to be cold to Eunjin actually but I couldn't control my emotion. Seeing how she kept smiling while talking to that Ms Kang, praising her and even walking her to the door when sending her off, all those things seemed to add oil to my fire of jealousy. Ever since I exchanged my car ride with Seohyun, I've to admit that I was starting to feel a little guilty with my treatment towards her.

"Girls, the food is ready."

Yoona-unnie's voice brought my attention towards her as I saw Sulli and Luna starting to stand up to leave the pool. Even Yuri-unnie and Sica-unnie were making their way out towards the tables. I turned around to the glass door to see if Eunjin was making her way out too but to my surprise, there was no one at the couch. Looking around, I realised that Eunjin was missing.

"Did anyone saw where Eunjin went?" I asked the moment I left the pool and walked to where the girls were gathered.

It was only after my question, did everyone realised about Eunjin's absence. Everyone looked at Yuri since she was the last one to talk to Eunjin earlier but she shrugged her shoulders, not knowing where she was.

"Don't tell me she decided to fly back to Seoul tonight?" Taeyeon suddenly blurted out before she winced in pain when Tiffany pinched her arm. "Sorry. I was just kidding."

"It's okay. I'll go and look for her." I said as I took a towel to wipe myself dry before wrapping it around my waist.

Jessica's POV

I let out a sigh the moment I saw Soojung walking towards the glass door, pushing it aside to enter the house.

"Gwenchana?" 

I turned to my side and looked at Yuri who was holding a plate of food for me as she sat down beside me. I pouted my lips towards Soojung's direction and saw Yuri nodding her head.

"She should control her emotion better." I said as I heard Yuri chuckled a little. "Wae?"

"Says the person who gets jealous easily too. Remember what you did when one of my colleagues met us during one of our dates? You didn't answer my messages, ignored my calls and didn't want to see me for 3 days. When you finally decided to see me, you went to my room and make everything turn into a mess."

"That's because your colleague was being overly friendly with you. Her smile was so wide that I can see her full set of teeth. And the way she laughed at every little thing you said, it just irks me at that time." I rolled my eyes at Yuri who just giggled. "But at least I didn't show it in front of others. Now all the girls are bothered with what's happening with the two of them."

"Don't worry. I've talked to Eunjin earlier. I believe she knows how to handle the situation." Yuri replied as she started feeding me some of the food. "That Eunjin is totally clueless too. She doesn't even know that Krystal was jealous about Ms Kang. I think Eunjin was really grateful of the help that Ms Kang gave her. Imagine if she was not there, Eunjin might still be stuck at Seoul Airport right now."

"That's what I thought too. Initially, when she came to the wedding with Ms Kang, I was a little angry especially when I saw how close they seem to be with one another. But when I thought things through, I realise that Eunjin was just being thankful about making it in time for the wedding."

I was totally surprised when I pulled the bathroom door and Krystal was standing in front of it. She was taken aback too since she shrieked a little when the door was opened. 

For a minute, both of us froze in our spot as we just stared blankly at each other.

"Sorry."

"Mianhae."

Both of us spoke at the same time as the awkwardness continued until I asked Krystal if she needed to use the bathroom.

"Anni. I was actually looking for you to inform that the food is ready." Krystal answered and was about to walk away when I stood in front of her.

"Are you sure that's the reason you were here? You said sorry just now. Why are you apologizing?" 

"I... I..." Krystal's eyes were once again avoiding me so I cupped her cheeks, forcing her to look directly into my eyes. "I'm sorry for my harsh words earlier."

A smile appeared on my face as I leaned in and kissed her gently on her lips. "And I'm sorry for not realising that you were feeling jealous earlier."

Krystal bit her lips and suddenly, I was pulled into a hug as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"I miss you so much. I know that it's only been a week since I last saw you but when you appeared with someone else today, my emotions got the better of me. I'm sorry for not controlling my emotion and for my cold treatment towards you," Krystal started to blabber on her true feelings as I tightened my hug around her.

"Arraseo, arraseo. I understand. You don't have to worry to much since my love is only for you. Trust me that my heart is only reserved for you." 

Both of us looked at each other directly in the eyes as a smile appeared on our faces. Leaning in closer to her, I started to give Krystal short pecks on her lips before it turned into a passionate kiss.

"YAH!!! What are the two of you doing in front of the bathroom?"

I could feel Krystal's body jerked away from mine when she heard her sister's loud voice. Turning our heads slowly to the direction of the voice, I could only grinned nervously when I saw Jessica standing with her hands on her hips. Her eyes were glaring straight at me as I swallowed my saliva.

"Both of you. We need to talk. But not now. The other girls have been wondering where the two of you had disappeared and the food is getting cold. Go and eat your dinner and we'll talk after that. In private." Jessica made her stand before she walked away, disappearing from my sight.

"Do you think we're in trouble?" I asked with a guilty look on my face.

"Gwenchana. I'll be there to protect you. I'm the only one who is capable of handling my unnie. Besides, I think Yuri-unnie will be on your side. So don't worry too much. Let's go and eat, shall we?"

Krystal held out her hands as I nodded my head and entwined our fingers together. Deep in my heart, I made a quick prayer and hope that everything will be fine.

It was a much better atmosphere the moment I walked out to the outdoor with Krystal beside her. Everyone cheered when they saw our entwined hands. Yoona and Sooyoung prepared some food for us on a plate and handed it over while we sat down at the round table. Most of the girls were done with their dinner so they mingled around. Sunny and Seohyun were still at the table so we chatted with them.

"Eunjin-ah, what were the two of you doing just now? I saw Sica walking through the glass door just a few minutes before both of you appeared and her expression didn't look that good." Sunny asked as I almost choked on my drink. "Seeing your reaction, I guess she must have caught you doing some hanky panky inside the house."

"Aahhhh, Unnie. How can you just ask so directly like that?" Seohyun smacked Sunny's shoulder lightly before coveirng her blushed face.

"Aigoo this kid. You really need to get yourself a boyfriend. Or are you into girls too?" Sunny shook her head at Seohyun who was being embarassed at the moment. "You're at the age of dating now. Start early. If you need help, I can recommend someone to you."

Krystal and I laughed at Seohyun's reaction as the girl quickly took her plate and ran away from Sunny. I chided Sunny about teasing Seohyun and she just laughed at me.

"By the way, how come Chorong is not here?" I asked casually before I felt Krystal's hand squeezing my thigh slightly. Turning to my side, I saw Krystal shaking her head before I turned to look at Sunny who was staring at her food. "Wae? Is there something that I was not aware about?"

"We broke up. About two weeks ago." Sunny replied with a small smile. "The other girls were informed about it when I arrived here alone."

"I've got a feeling this would happen sooner or later." I replied as Sunny just nodded her head. "Krystal, is it okay if you excuse us for a moment?"

Krystal looked at me and and nodded my head. I had informed Krystal before that Sunny would sometimes share her relationship problems with me which I had promised not to tell anyone about it. At this moment, Krystal understood that both of us needed some privacy to take about the matter.

"What actually happened?" I shifted my position and placed my elbow on the table as Sunny let out a sigh before leaning back into her chair. "Who was the one who asked for the break-up? You?"

Sunny nodded her head before letting out a sigh. I knew she needed time to tell me about it so I quietly waited for her to start talking.

"Remember that talk that we had about a month ago?" Sunny asked as I frowned a little.

(Flashback a month ago)

"Yah, if you're not in the mood to eat, why did you ask me out for lunch? I could have just stayed in the office and finished up some work." I nagged at Sunny who was just staring at her food. Sensing that she was feeling a little down, I put away my spoon and frowned. "Chorong?"

At the mere mention of the girls' name, Sunny looked up and locked eyes with me. I could see the pain and conflict in those eyes as I leaned back into my chair.

"Spill."

"A few days back, I was having a dinner date with Chorong. She left her phone when she went to the washroom. During that time, a message from a guy came in and I saw a glimpse of the profile photo. It was a photo of them together. Since she was still not back yet, I took the opportunity to check her photo gallery. I found more photos of her and that guy together. Some with a group of friends, some just the two of them. Some were taken casually, some quite intimately." Sunny ended her explanation as I clasped my hand together and placed it below my chin.

"Did you ask her about it?" I asked as Sunny shook her head, replying that she's not sure on how to even go about doing so. "Maybe you can just casually ask about her work, colleagues and then popped out that question. There's no point brooding over it if you're not willing to find out the answer."

"Do you think she's cheating behind my back?" 

"I'm not sure, Sunny. You can only get the answer from her. But what will you do if she is?" I threw another question to Sunny who continued to kept quiet. "My word of advice, don't hang on too long on memories. Sometimes, when you have to let go, you have to let go. No point dragging on something that will only hurt you in the end. As much as I wish for your relationship to last, I rather you think about your true happiness. Lately, I seem to be missing my cheerful and bright Sunny."

Sunny ended up smiling as she nodded her head at my remarks.

(End of flashback)

"You told me to casually asked her about it, so I did. Initially, she said that he was a colleague and that they were close because he always help her out at work when she just started working. But when I questioned her further about the intimacy of the photos, she became defensive and started being angry with me for going through her phone. I admitted to her that it was my fault for doing so without her permission, so I apologised."

"You apologised to her for that?" I asked as Sunny nodded her head as I folded my arms. "But if you didn't do so, you would never find out about this guy, right? So is she cheating behind your back?"

"I don't know. Frankly, I don't think I want to know. After I apologised to her that night, she left me behind at the restaurant. She didn't contact me for 3 days and when she finally did, she acted as if nothing happened."

"Wow.. Does she has a problem with her memory or is she bipolar?" I shook my head vigorously, feeling a little sad and angry at the same time. "So what makes you decide that it's the last straw?"

"When I remembered your words. About my true happiness and not to hang on too long to memories. I have to admit, ever since Chorong stopped working for me, there was a difference in her attitude around me. It's like she was looking down on my status. There were a few times where she would sarcastically teased me about not being her boss anymore and how I'm just a salaried worker now. I was a little upset at times but I kept remembering those good times together so I endured. We rarely have anything much to talk about now, most of the time having conflicted ideas on a topic. It came to a point where I was actually fine if I didn't see her for a week or so."

"So how are you feeling at the moment? Are you okay with the break-up?" There was concern in my voice as Sunny nodded her head and smiled.

"Initially, I kept pondering if I made the right  decision. I stayed away from everyone to give some space to myself to think about it. Which was why I was not around to send Krystal off last week. But after thinking it through, I guess it's for the best. For her and for myself."

I nodded my head and stood up, gesturing to Sunny that I wanted to give her a hug. She stood up too and returned my hug.

"Just remember. All of us are here for you."
