Krystal's POV

I jolted up from sleep when something hard hit my head as I opened my eyes and realised that I had fallen from the couch.

'From the couch?' I looked around and noticed that I was in the living room. 'Why was I sleeping in the living room?'

I scratched my head and then it dawned on me.

"Eunjin-unnie."

I stood up immediately and searched around the dorm but there was no one else there. I past the kitchen area and was about to return back to the living room when I saw something on the dining table.

Walking closer to the table, I saw a small note placed under the plate.

'To Krystal,

I'm not sure what time you'll be awake but just in case it gets cold, heat it up before you eat it.

p.s: Sorry for using your kitchen without your permission.

p.p.s: Don't stay alone during rainy season.

From: Your SuperHero, Eunjin.'

I rolled my eyes at the ending sentence before breaking into a chuckle. 'Superhero? Super idiot would be better.'

I was too lazy to heat up the food so I just ate on the spot. Surprisingly it was delicious, considering that it was just a simple breakfast set. I glanced at the clock and noticed that it was already 10am. Once breakfast was over, I took a quick shower before heading out to Unnie's apartment.

No One's POV

The 3 girls were done with their shoppings as they placed their items in the car. As Jessica sat in the driver seat with Tiffany beside her, Krystal slipped into the back seat.

"Krystal, are you going back to the dorm tonight or tomorrow morning?" Jessica asked her sister.

"Tomorrow morning. Luna and Sulli will also be back tomorrow morning since our class will start at 10am." Krystal replied, adding that she was feeling hungry.

"So, where do you girls want to have your dinner?" Jessica asked as she switched on the engine. 

"How about Twin Towers? It's been weeks since we last drop by." Tiffany answered as Krystal replied that she was fine with anything.

It didn't take long for them to reach the cafe. Since it was a Sunday, the crowd was expected as there were not much empty tables around but Yoona saw Jessica walking in and she walked up to them with a big smile.

"Sica-unnie, it's been so long since you've dropped by." The younger girl hugged Jessica who returned the smile. "Hi Fany-unnie. Hi Krystal."

"It seems crowded tonight. Do you think you can get us a table for 3, Yoona?" Jessica asked as Yonna gave her an okay sign. 

She led the 3 girls to a table that was placed near the stairs leading up to Sooyoung's office. Even though it was in a secluded corner of the cafe, it has ample space to move around and could fit around 6 people there. Yoona explained that the place was usually reserved for family members and friends who would drop by to hang around longer than usual. As the 3 girls took their seats, Yoona handed them the menu and sat down with them to chat for a while but it didn't take long for disturbance to arrive.

"Yoona-yah... Your girlfriend is a cheater." 

"No, I'm not. It's not my fault that you at it. Face it, loser."

"I'm not going to allow you to date my sister anymore."

"As if Yoona is going to listen to you."

"She will. I'm her Unnie."

Squabblings were heard as the 4 girls turned to look at the staircase where the voices were coming from. Heavy footsteps followed suit as Yuri and Sooyoung appeared while tussling with each other. The two of them only realised the presence of the other 4 girls when they reached the end of the stairs and were about to make their way to the kitchen.

"Hi."

The two of them immediately raised up their right hands to greet as they grinned dorkily before Sooyoung shoved Yuri aside and they started to tussle again.

"Yah, yah, yah!! What's with the childish behaviour?" Yoona asked as she stood up before calling out to Hyoyeon to pass the orders to her. "We could hear the two of you arguing from upstairs."

"Your girlfriend cheats when playing games with me. How can she always win in every game?" Yuri said as she pouted while pointing her finger at Sooyoung.

"Because I'm good at it." Sooyoung replied as she crossed her arms and stood in an arrogant pose. 

"Wait until Eunjin is here. She will beat you at your own game." Yuri meronged at Sooyoung before turning to face Yoona. "By the way, is she here yet?"

Yoona shook her head and was about to walk away when they heard a sudden commotion in their cafe. It seemed that everyone was busy looking out to the main street, some even pointing out with murmurings going around. From a distance, the expression on everyone faces seemed to indicate that something bad had happened.

Sooyoung called out to Hyoyeon to check on what was happening outside their cafe while Yuri and Yoona tried to take a peek from where they were standing. Due to the crowd that had gathered just slightly away from their cafe's main entrance, both the Kwon siblings were not able to see anything. They could only hear through the murmurings that someone had fainted at the side of the road but they were surprised when Hyoyeon dashed in, looking frantic.

"Palli... palli.." Hyoyeon was almost breathless when she spoke. "Eunjin... She fainted... outside."

I opened my eyes slowly and realised that I was in an unfamiliar room. Feeling a little dizzy, I was about to touch my forehead when I realised that a tube had been attached to my hand.

"You're awake?"

I looked up and saw Yoona walking out from the private bathroom as she smiled and took a seat beside the bed.

"Where am I?" I coughed a little when the voice that came out from me was coarse as Yoona grabbed a glass of water from the side table.

"Here, drink this." She helped me to hold on to my neck so that I could take sip from the glass. "You're in the hospital. Since last night."

I blinked my eyes a few times as Yoona placed the glass down before stopping me from saying anything further.

"You should rest. Your fever is still quite high."

I sighed as I lied down again. Trying to recall what actually happened, I frowned a little and Yoona noticed it.

"You fainted in front of Twin Towers. You were lucky that Yul-unnie had to work today. She was prepared to give you a proper scolding for riding in your feverish condition." Yoona started to nag as I pouted. "What were you even thinking? You should have told us that you were down with high fever and we would have gone to visit you instead of asking you to come down to the cafe."

"All I remembered that I was feeling dizzy after removing my helmet when I arrived near your cafe. I tried to close my eyes for a while and suddenly everything went blank." I explained myself.

"The doctor said that you might have felt suffocated while wearing your helmet which was the reason as to why you fainted beside your motorbike. You could have been involve in an accident due to your negligence and imagine how guilty Krystal would have felt if that really happened." Yoona continued her nagging as I pulled myself up to sit up straight.

"Krystal? Why would she feel that way and how come she's in the picture?" I was baffled by Yoona's statement.

(Flashback last night)

"How's her condition, Doctor? Is there something wrong with her?" Yuri asked the moment the Doctor left the observation ward.

"At the moment, all I can say is that she's having a very high fever. We have given her some medication and she's currently resting at the moment. She was awake for a while earlier and managed to answer some questions from the nurse. It seems that she had been having fever since yesterday afternoon and it didn't subside even after she had taken some paracetamol. Reason for her fainting could be due to the lack of proper ventilation when she had her helmet on while riding. For now, we will have to keep her here for a few days to monitor her condition and to see if there's any underlying problem that we might have overlook." 

The girls looked at each other with worried expression as they just nodded to whatever that the Doctor had informed them before he walked away. Yuri had followed the ambulance when it arrived to send Eunjin to the hospital. Yoona had hitched a ride in Jessica's car along with Tiffany and Krystal while Sooyoung stayed behind to tend to the cafe.

"We'll be transferring the patient to a normal ward soon so can you help to contact her family members for the registration paperworks?" One of the nurse, who had just came out, informed them as Yoona turned to look at Yuri.

"I'll help you with that." Yuri said as she followed the nurse, leaving the other girls behind.

An hour later, Taeyeon and Sunny arrived at the hospital after being informed by Yuri. By then, Eunjin had been transferred to a single ward which had a private bathroom in it. Yoona explained to Taeyeon and Sunny about whatever that the doctor had informed them earlier.

"This crazy girl. How the hell did she even got the high fever? She was fine on Friday when we left the res... arrgghhh.." Taeyeon almost blurted out about their secret meeting in front of Yuri when Tiffany pinched her hand. "Restroom at the workshop."

Yuri arched her eyebrows at Taeyeon's weird behaviour and was about to probe further when suddenly Krystal's voice echoed through the room.

"I'm sorry. It was all my fault." Krystal had her head hung low as she apologised. "It must have been because she rode through the storm that Friday night to come to me."

"Mwo?!!!"

Krystal's POV

I looked up and saw the confused and surprised looks on all the Unnie's faces before biting my lips and turned to look at my sister. I was feeling really bad and guilty about the whole situation as I tried to fight back the tears in my eyes. I was really scared that they would all be unhapy with me but Sica-unnie's arm grabbed my shoulders as she smiled sweetly at me.

"Soojung-ah, we won't be angry at you. Just tell us what happened actually. We promise that we won't scold you." Unnie coaxed me gently as she turned to face the rest, who immediately nodded their heads even though I knew that they did so because of the glare from Unnie.

"Do you all remember that it was raining heavily that night around 1am onwards?" I asked as most of them frowned as if they were trying to recall before all of them nodded their heads except for Sica-unnie.

"It was raining?" She looked at me while blinking her eyes. "I didn't realise that."

"There was even loud thunders repetitively, if I remembered correctly. I couldn't sleep well that night." Taeyeon-unnie said as the rest agreed with her while my unnie still had the blank look.

"Omo... Thunders?" Sica-unnie suddenly exclaimed as she turned to look at her sister. "You were still at the dorm, right? How did you manage...? You mean Eunjin..."

"Yes." I answered when I knew that Sica-unnie had realised what had happened that night. "Just for everyone's info. I'm scared of thunders. Really, really scared. Usually when there's thunder, Luna and Sulli will be around to calm me down. But I was alone at the dorm that night."

"Omo, is that why there was 5 missed calls from you that night?" Sica-unnie asked as I rolled my eyes at her. "Why didn't you call Tiff when I didn't answer?"

A shy chuckle was heard when Tiffany-unnie suddenly apologised. "Mianhae. I was at Taetae's place that night and had switched my phone off."

"Yah!! You couldn't sleep because of the thunder or because of Fany?" Sunny shoved Taeyeon's shoulders as the girl grinned dorkily. "Byuntae."

"Anyway, I ended up calling Eunjin-unnie. The first time I called, she didn't pick up the phone. Since the thunders had stopped momentarily, I decided not to call her again but the thunders returned and this time round, Eunjin-unnie answered her call. I remembered crouching near my couch in the living room while I waited for Eunjin-unnie to come, praying that it'll stopped raining but it didn't." I continued my story.

"So Jinnie rode all the way to your campus, in that thunderstorm, just because you called her?" I could only nod to Yoona-unnie's question. "And she stayed with you throughout the night?"

"I think so." I bite my lips as frowns reappeared on the Unnie's faces since I had replied with uncertainty. "I kind of fall asleep after Eunjin-unnie arrived."

I explained further, telling everyone about how I had opened the door when I heard Eunjin-unnie's arrival and how the last thing I heard she said was that she was wet but I continued to hug her, especially when another thunder erupted. 

"So I didn't really know what time Eunjin-unnie left the dorm or whether she had stayed througout the night until I fell off the couch the next morning." I said as I saw most of the Unnies smiling at me.

"Yah, pabo-yah. How could you fall asleep in that position?" A slight knock was felt on my head, thanks to Sica-unnie. "How awkward Eunjin must have felt when she found you sleeping in her arms."

(End of flashback)

"Krystal admitted that she felt really guilty after hearing what the Doctor had said especially the part where he mentioned the possibility of you being involved in an accident." Yoona continued saying as I just listened. "But Yul-unnie said that she shouldn't feel that way. It was your responsibility to know if you are well enough to ride."

Yoona poked my forehead hard as I pouted. Our chat was disrupted by the appearance of the nurse and doctor who came to check on me. Yoona was politely asked to excuse us as she walked out of the room to wait outside.

"Krystal, can we follow you to visit Eunjin-unnie?"

Krystal, who was busy packing up her belongings after the class ended, turned to her side and saw her two friends looking at her. Sulli and Luna had been informed by Krystal about what happened to Eunjin before the class started two hours ago. Krystal also told them that she had intended to visit Eunjin after class ended since they only had one class today.

"Both of you want to follow?" Krystal asked as Sulli and Luna nodded their heads.

The 3 girls left their campus in Krystal's car as they headed for the hospital. No one said anything until the car stopped at the traffic light.

"I was just wondering since just now. Why didn't you call Amber instead of Eunjin-unnie? She's just two doors away from us." Sulli asked as Krystal explained that Amber didn't picked up her phone.

"I think she was still not home yet. Probably still hanging out with her friends." Krystal continued explaining about Amber who had came earlier that night to bring her dinner before going out to meet her friends.

"At least she brought you dinner. I think Amber really likes you. She's so sweet." Sulli said as she kept nodding her head at her own statement while Luna looked at her weirdly.

"But she was not there when Krystal needed her." Luna's comment caused Krystal to frown. "Eunjin-unnie has been having the fever since Saturday afternoon. How come nobody knows about it? Is she staying alone?"

Krystal nodded her head. "I think so. From what I heard, she's living in an apartment by herself. Come to think of it, I've never heard anyone talked about Eunjin-unnie's family before."

It took them another 30mins to reach the hospital as Krystal led the way to where Eunjin's ward was. They were surprised to see Yoona standing outside the room. Thinking that something bad might have happened, Krystal ran up to Yoona.

"Yoona-unnie, how come you're outside? Is something wrong? Did something happen to Eunjin-unnie?"

Yoona's eyes widened before a smile appeared on her face when she saw the panic look in Krystal's expression. She patted the girl's head and bowed a little to the other two girls who had came up to greet her.

"The doctor is inside to check on Eunjin. Just the normal procedure, Krystal. Why do you sound so flustered? Are you that worried over Eunjin?" Yoona asked as Krystal shook her head and looked down, trying to hide her blush.

Just when Yoona was about to continue the teasing, the doctor exited the room with the nurse. He informed that Eunjin's condition had stablised but she was still having a mild fever which he believed would go off by tomorrow. 

"I'll come and check on her tonight. If everything is in order, she can be discharge tomorrow." The doctor explained further before walking away with the nurse.

Yoona knocked on the door before entering along with the other girls.

Eunjin's POV

I had just finished buttoning my hospital shirt when I heard some knocks on the door. Yoona entered along with Krystal, Sulli and Luna. I sat up straight when I saw them coming in.

"Did they give you an injection?" Yoona asked when she saw the plaster on my arm as I nodded my head.

"An injection with medication to lower down my temperature. It's faster than swallowing the tablets." I explained as the 3 girls stood silently behind Yoona. "Krystal, Sulli, Luna. Thanks for coming to visit me."

They smiled at me and bowed their head to greet as I told them to make themselves comfortable. Yoona sat on the chair beside the bed while the 3 girls sat at the couch nearby. We chatted for about 10mins before Yoona said that she wanted to go to the cafetaria to get some lunch since it was almost 1pm and she had not eaten since breakfast. Sulli and Luna volunteered to help to get the food for everyone so they left.

I was about to continue chatting when Yoona's phone rang and she excused herself to answer it outside. Silence filled the room since there were only Krystal and me left.

"How's the breakfast that day? Did you heat it up before eating?" I asked to break the silence as Krystal looked up at me.

"It was delicious even though I didn't heat it up because I was too lazy to do so." She smiled a little as I returned her smile. "What time did you left that day?"

"Around 9am, after preparing the breakfast. I was already awake by 8am." I said as Krystal suddenly stood up and sat on the chair that was previously occupied by Yoona.

"Did you sleep that night? I'm so sorry for everything. Dozing off after asking you to come over. And you were sick because of me." Krystal let out a heavy sigh. "I remembered the last thing you said to me that night."

My eyes widened and my heartbeat started to get faster when I heard what Krystal had said. "The..the.. last thing.. You heard it? I.. I... I thought you were asleep by then."

"Anni. I was still awake. You said that you were wet, right? But I hugged you even tighter when a thunder suddenly erupted." Krystal said as I finally released a sigh of relief.

"Ahhh.... That one. Okay, Okay." I absentmindedly nodded my head.

"You mean you said something to me after I slept?" Krystal suddenly pointed her finger at me, causing me to be taken aback.

"An.. An.. Anni.. How did you manage to get my phone number anyway? I don't remember giving it to you though." I quickly changed the topic and it was Krystal's turned to be taken aback by my question.

"I.. I got it from Amber." She blushed.

"Amber gave it to you?" I asked and a smile spread out on my face when Krystal shook her head. "You stole it from her?"

"Of course not." She slapped my arm softly but was shocked when I pretended to feel pain since it was on the same arm that had the tube attached to it. "Omo, I'm sorry. Did it hurt?"

I frowned a little before breaking out into a chuckle. Realising that I've tricked her, Krystal pouted and folded her arms.

"How can you be so cute even when you're upset?" I accidentally blurted out as I started to feel hot because of my own remarks.

Krystal must have felt the same way since she looked away as silence filled the room once again. To remove the awkwardness between us, I decided to ask her again on how she managed to get my number.

"Remember that Sunday when you agreed to meet Amber for the basketball game?" Krystal asked as I nodded my head. "She was driving when you message her to inform that you'll be late so she ask me to reply to your message. That was when I saw your phone number."

"And you remembered it well enough to be able to call me that night? Amazing." I was really touched that she could actually remembered it so well.

"Actually, I was saving your number when you came up to me that day. I was afraid that I might forget it so I was keying it in when you started talking to me." Krystal honestly explained what happened that day.

"Is that why you were slightly agitated with me and told me that it was none of my concern?"

"I was not actually agitated. I was nervous that you might have seen what I was doing at that moment. Getting caught red-handed by you is the last thing that I would want to happen." Krystal admitted as I started laughing before she joined in.

"Seems like I'm interfering into something."

Both of us turned towards the door as Yoona walked in with a cheeky grin on her face along with Sulli and Luna. Luna was smiling too but Sulli had a slight frown on her face. I asked Yoona what took her so long with the phone call and how did she end up coming in with Sulli and Luna.

"Because I'm quick-witted. I was done with the phone call 20mins earlier but I saw that the two of you were so engrossed in your conversation so I decided not to disturb and went to look for these girls at the cafetaria." Yoona winked at me as I rolled my eyes at her. "Anyway, time to eat. Or are you both already full from teasing each other?"

I noticed the blush on Krystal's cheeks as she stood up and went to her friend's side, helping them out with the food while Yoona continued to laugh. I was about to scold her when the doors opened and Jessica walked in with a hamper.

"Woah.. I didn't expect to see so many people." Jessica said as she greeted everyone before making her way to the bed. "Hi Eunjin. Feeling better?"

I didn't know how to react when Jessica took a seat at the edge of my bed, after placing the hamper on the side table and placed her hands on my arm. She was looking straight into my eyes with a concerned look as I could only blink my eyes repeatedly.

"Sica-unnie, the way you greeted Eunjin looks as if you were her girlfriend." Yoona said in between her laughter.

"Yoona-yah. Stop teasing me. There's nothing going on between me and Eunjin. I'm just showing my concern. That's all." Jessica said as she smiled and chuckled.

From where I was, I could see that Krystal had been watching the whole situation and I was sure that I saw her frowning before she caught me looking at her, causing her to face her attention back to her friends.
