I watched with awe as she held the gun with one hand. I expected her to tremble but no, she held it with skill. It looks like as if she did it on a daily basis. But beyond my admiration, what caught me now is astonishment. I was surprised to see her aiming the gun right to my face.

“Last words for him, honey?” I heard Lee Minwoo spoke behind me. That moron. I should’ve killed him when I had the chance. I never thought he’d trap me like this. Well, I must say that was brilliant. I got carried away.

I stood at the center of this spacious, empty room. It was just us three. I can taste my own blood from the corner of my lip. Every part of my body was in pain. I was chained and battered ruthlessly before they brought me here. I tried to stand still inspite of my shaking knees. I’m so weak that I’ll pass out anytime. But seeing her like that makes me endure it all. I want to know everything.

I never took my eyes off her. I watched her motions, trying to read her. Unfortunately, all I saw was nothing. I’m good at reading minds but hers, I just can’t. She used to look at me with much affection in her eyes. But now, she’s just a stranger.

She glanced at Minwoo for a second before walking up to me. She stood so close that our faces are just an inch away from each other. Her eyes were locked in mine and for a moment, I saw them expressing apology. She wrapped an arm around my neck, pulled me closer and kissed me gently. That’s when the loud gunshot echoed throughout the room.
