Chapter 27 - No way

 He led me to the basement where most of our training takes place. It’s so much wider to be called a basement. Hideout maybe? I stood by the entrance and just stopped there while Jungryul walked further up to the display of the highly dangerous weapons.

He looked at the sniper in the glass display. It was his favorite weapon. Silent yet precise.

“Come here.”

This is gonna be the dramatic ending of my life. I walked slowly to him.

“I always spend time thinking of what may push you to be a stronger man. You always disappoint me.”

I looked away, feeling guilty. After his speech, I know I’ll die soon so I don’t need to worry. This won’t be for long.

“And look what you’ve done today. You nearly killed Dongwoo, one of my favorite minion. You know Dongwoo has always been of great help to me, compared to you. You were a weakling!”

“I’m sorry sir.. I—“

“And I was surprised to see you taking his life out of him just because he called you a ! I saw how you hungered for his death. I know you’re potentials will come out soon and your conscience, will soon be hardened.”

I remained silent though I don’t understand him.

“That’s what I’m talking about son. I knew I’d be proud of you.” He chuckled.

“S-son?”

“I always thought that she’ll give birth to a loser. I cannot accept you at first of course. It was just a one night stand. But now, I can call you my son.”
