Chapter 49 - Hold Up

“Sue Ji..” I called her as we were dismissed. Her back was facing me as she was gathering all her things up. She didn’t look back as expected though I know that she heard it. I waited until she finished.

“Yes?” She asked in that usual sweet tone. I felt my heart racing again.

I just stared, never leaving my eyes off of hers. She stared back but I can see nothing. Empty. Did you really want to forget about me, Sue Ji?

“What is it?” She asked again. This time, a little pissed off.

I stretched my hand and handed her the notes that our professor gave for each of us.

“Oh. Thank you.” She smiled.

I didn’t want to stay long.

I don’t trust myself and I don’t want to do something stupid that might ruin our plans so I walked away without saying anything. Seeing her gives me a lot of emotions that most of gives me pain.

As I strolled out of the building, I can’t help myself but to think of what really happened to us back then. We were inseparable yet she left me.

“Don’t do this please.” I heard Sungjong’s voice as I walk. The corridor is secluded so there’s no one around. I hid myself behind the wall while spying what is happening.

“Give me your wallet you freak!” a dark deep voice shouted over. That’s when I had to go in the scene.

“What are you doing?!” I shouted, seeing he lifted Sungjong off the ground with his hands gripped the poor fella’s neck. He dropped Sungjong on the ground and snarled at me. I can see he has some dagger in his hand.

“You want to join in here, eh?” He said as he approached me with the knife pointing towards my direction. Sungjong screamed.

“HYUNG! RUN!” He cried seeing that this guy with the bonnet is going to stab me.

I smirked and attacked him before he could get me. I took his dagger and kicked his stomach. I finished with a little more punches before I dragged Sungjong out of the place.
