“He took my mother.” I told V and he instantly stood, taken aback by my words. He placed his hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes.

“Everything will be okay.” He told me but I had a hard time believing him. “We’ll get your mother back.” He added and I nodded.  I looked around trying to gather my things but I kept dropping stuff.

“Jinah” V called me name and grabbed my wrists. “It will be okay, go home and talk to your father; I’ll go and see what else I can find out from my father.” V instructed me and I nodded. He picked up my stuff and grabbed both of our jackets as we headed out of his apartment. He kissed me quickly before we separated and went to our individual locations.

I reached my home after a half hour bus journey and ran inside.

“Appa, are you here?” I called out and searched for my father. I approached his office and heard him on the phone. I carefully listened to his words to see if he’d found any leads.

“You got your wish, meet me at the spot, bring my wife and we’ll settle this.” He spoke and I barged into his office. He spun around in surprise and his eyes met mine.

“You’re meeting him?” I spoke, outraged by his decision.

“I have to Jinah; I can’t let him hurt your mother.” He spoke and I scoffed at him.

“I’m sure there’s another way!” I raised my voice and he banged his fist on his desk in anger.

“I don’t care about other ways, I want this done and I want it done NOW!” He shouted at me and I took a step back in fear. “This is the last time that he interferes with my family.” He spoke through grit teeth in a low voice.

“Then I’m coming with you.” I told him but he shook his head.

“NO! I’ve made arrangements to have you watched.” He told me and I was shocked. He was gonna have someone babysit me?! “I can’t have your soft heart interfering this time.” He spoke and even though he didn’t shout, I was astonished by his rudeness. Soft hearted? He was keeping me out of it just because I was in love with V?

A couple of men entered the room and I suddenly became on edge. I furtively got out my phone and text V, Mark and Ilhoon for ‘Help’. Suddenly my phone was knocked out of my hand and my father picked it up.

“Your boyfriend won’t be interfering this time either.” He muttered and worry began to fill my stomach, what had happened to V? Had his father done something? Was he okay? I was pulled from my thoughts when the two men grabbed me by each of my arm and led me from my father’s office and up to my room, where they proceeded to lock me inside. I immediately started looking for a way to get out and possible distractions that could help.
