The thunderstorm was loud. Minho knew how much Taemin hated thunderstorms, and this was no different. He held Taemin close as the thunder clapped loudly.

                “Hyung, I don’t like it,” Taemin said into Minho’s chest.

                “I know, Taeminnie. It’ll be over soon though.” He hugged Taemin tighter.

                “All I can hear is the thunder,” Taemin said softly.

                “Let me tell you a story then. Listen to the story, not the thunder,” Minho said soothingly. “Once upon a time, there was a beautiful prince who lived in a castle. He had a loving family, but one day he was kidnapped by a fierce dragon!” he recounted. Taemin gasped, and Minho smiled and continued. “His parents were devastated. They asked all the knights in the kingdom, but none were brave enough to go to the dragon. Except for one. The lowly knight, who loved the prince, went to go rescue him. It was a scary ordeal, and he almost got burned to a crisp by the dragon, but he slew it valiantly and rescued the prince. As a reward, the knight received the beautiful prince’s hand in marriage. And they lived happily ever after. The end.”

                “Thanks for saving me, hyung,” Taemin giggled, having completely forgotten about the thunder.

                “Hey, did I say it was about us?”

                “Wasn’t it?” Taemin asked.

                “Yeah,” Minho replied with a smile. “You’re my beautiful prince, Taeminnie.”
