“Oh my god!” Taemin cried, grabbing Minho’s hand and running to where he’d seen the bird fall. “That bird just fell out of the tree! I didn’t know that could even happen! Let’s see if he’s okay!”

                “Taemin, you can’t just go around helping every little injured animal you see,” Minho told him.

                “Why not?” Taemin asked fiercely. “I want to help them. Why shouldn’t I, if they need help? It’s not hurting me. Come on, hyung, let’s see how he is.”

                “Okay,” Minho smiled. He loved how dedicated Taemin was to everything. They approached the bird, who was trying to fly away, to no avail.

               “Aw, little bird,” Taemin said with melancholy. He took off his jacket and picked up the bird gently. “Don’t be scared. I’m not going to hurt you.” He spoke in the most soothing tone of voice, and Minho was sure that if he’d been the bird, he wouldn’t be scared anymore.

                The bird stopped trying to struggle, and Taemin smiled, still cooing at it adorably.

                “I think he’s hurt,” Taemin said quietly. “I think it’s his wing.”

                “Do you want to bring him back to our place, and then we can bring him to the vet?”

                “Really, hyung? You’d let me?”

                “Taemin, I’m your boyfriend, not your mother. You can do whatever you want since it’s your apartment too.”

                “But you wouldn’t mind?”

                “If it makes you happy, I wouldn’t mind,” Minho replied, and Taemin smiled adoringly.

                “Okay. Thanks, hyung.”
