Taemin had made Minho promise to pick him up from dance rehearsal today, because he “had something” he wanted to show Minho. Taemin was a little silly sometimes, but Minho had to admit it was endearing.
Unfortunately, Minho found himself still sitting in his dorm room at 9:10, and he knew that Taemin usually got out of the studio around 9:15. He also knew that it would take him more than five minutes to get there, even if he ran.
He cursed himself mentally for not looking at the time, and he knew Taemin would be disappointed that he was late.
When he finally got there, it was 9:20, and it looked like most of the students were already out of the studio. He sighed. Hopefully Taemin hadn’t left yet.
“SURPRISE, HYUNG!” Taemin cried, leaping out from behind a bush. Minho jumped.
“Taemin, you scared me!” Minho exclaimed.
“That’s what you get for getting here late,” Taemin teased. “Anyway hyung, look what I found today!” He held out a box with holes poked in it. Minho lifted the lid to reveal a small frog.
“It’s a frog,” Minho said.
“Yeah! Isn’t that funny?”
“I guess…why?” Minho asked, peering at the creature.
“Hyungggg,” Taemin moaned, “it’s LEAP DAY. So a frog!”
“Taemin…” Minho laughed. “That’s a really bad joke. But happy leap day.”
“I named it Minho, because Himchan-hyung always calls you ‘the frog prince’ and I think Minho the frog looks like you!” Taemin smiled, looking incredibly proud at the fact that he’d found a frog that looked like Minho on leap day.
“I’m honored,” Minho grinned, kissing Taemin on the lips as they walked back to Taemin’s dorm.
A/N: I'm happy today because my boyfriend and I kind of held hands for the first time today~ We are not nearly as far along as 2min hahaha. Happy leap day, my lovely readers!
