“I never realized how boring things get if you force yourself to do them every day. No, not boring. Torturous,” Minho sighed, looking down at his crossword puzzle.

                “Hyung, you’ve been doing crosswords every day for a week. You can’t be bored yet,” Taemin chuckled.

                “No, you don’t understand. Making myself do these every day sounded like fun at first. I thought maybe I’d make a goal of it, like ‘do a crossword every day for a month and then maybe you’ll get to be amazing at crossword puzzles,’ but it’s not like that. I basically sold my soul to the devil the day I decided it would be fun.”

                “You can just stop, you know,” Taemin said. “Nobody’s forcing you to do it but you.”

                “I can’t stop!” Minho responded. “I told myself I’d do it for a month so I’ll do it for a month. No matter how much I want to rip this piece of paper to shreds.”

                “You’re crazy,” Taemin laughed. “But do whatever you want.”

                “I don’t want to do this; I have to,” Minho persisted.

                “I don’t understand you,” Taemin said, “but that’s okay because I don’t have to fully understand you to love you as much as I do.”

                “And how much is that?”

                “More than you love me.”

                “Impossible.”

                “But at least you have an idea of how much that is,” Taemin grinned, and Minho smiled back, because he was right.
