“Taeminnie, someone’s knocking at the door. Could you get it?” Minho asked. Taemin smiled at his boyfriend.

                “Sure, hyung, I got it!” Taemin sang, prancing to the door and opening it. The man at the door was wearing a suit and looked well dressed and respectable. He also looked slightly familiar, yet somehow Taemin couldn’t remember where he knew him from.

                “Lee…Lee Taemin?” the man asked.

                “Uh, yes,” Taemin replied. “Sorry, but who are you?”

                “I’m…Taemin, I’m your father. Your appa,” the man said. Taemin frowned.

                “Didn’t I say not to contact me again?” Taemin asked him. “Why are you here? How did you get my address?”

                “I really wanted to see you,” his father said. “Your mother gave me your address.”

                “She wouldn’t,” Taemin snapped. “I don’t believe you.”

                “You’re looking well, though,” his father continued, and Taemin glared at him. “You’ve grown up really well. You look like your mother.”

                “Well, nobody knows what my father looks like, so nobody tells me I ever look like him,” Taemin growled. Minho came up behind Taemin gingerly, looking at Taemin’s father.

                “Who’s this, Taeminnie?” Minho asked. Taemin frowned, leaning against Minho.

                “This is my father,” Taemin said matter-of-factly. “Abeoji, this is my boyfriend, Choi Minho.”

                “I…it’s nice to meet you,” Taemin’s father said. “Uh, Taemin, I’d really like to talk to you more.”

                “You should have when you had the chance,” Taemin spat. “I think it’s time for you to leave.” Taemin’s father turned around resignedly, without another word.

                “He seems apologetic,” Minho remarked, taking Taemin in his arms.

                “It’s too late for that,” Taemin said. “It’s too late for that.”
