The picnic was intended to be nice for all of them, but it ended up with Taemin and Key pestering Onew and Joon quite a lot, mostly about their lack of skinship.

                “You two don’t hug each other enough,” Key scolded. “Now that you’re past the ‘let’s get together’ phase—which, by the way, you should have consulted me about first—it’s about time you actually start hugging or at least holding hands.”

                “We saw them kiss once, though,” Jonghyun pointed out, but Taemin shushed him.

                “That’s true though,” Joon protested, but Key was having none of it.

                “No. That’s not enough. That was once. And would you do it again if you knew someone was watching? Of course you wouldn’t. Look, Jjong and I hug all the time.” He hugged Jonghyun around the shoulders. “We’re even better at it than Taeminho here.”

                “Hey! You are not. That was a lame hug anyway,” Taemin challenged. “This is a real hug.” He threw himself into Minho’s arms and wrapped his hands around Minho’s torso.

                “Ha! We can do more than that. Jjong, kiss me,” Key commanded. Jonghyun sighed and pecked Key on the cheek. Onew and Joon looked worried as they turned their attention to Taemin and Minho. It was like a tennis match, back and forth.

                “Look, he doesn’t even want to kiss you in public!” Taemin teased. “Hyung, kiss.”

                “Taemin, honestly,” Minho complained. “Love isn’t a competition.”

                “Exactly, Kibum,” Jonghyun scolded. “I love you more than anyone else loves you, so you shouldn’t worry.”

                “And you two shouldn’t worry either,” Minho reassured Onew and Joon. “Just let things progress naturally; don’t let these two make you feel uncomfortable.”

                Taemin grinned sheepishly as he reached for Minho’s hand. He liked his boyfriend’s wisdom.
