“Let’s play a game,” Key announced. Jonghyun clapped enthusiastically as Joon and Onew exchanged glances.

                “What kind of game?” Minho asked suspiciously. Key’s games could get dangerous.

                “Whoever runs up the flight of stairs the slowest has to eat this spicy pepper!” Key cried, and Jonghyun once again showed his approval by clapping.

                “That’s not fair,” Onew complained, “because Taemin and I are the slowest runners.”

                “Hey, I hate running too,” Key shrugged.

                “You’ve been practicing for this game though,” Jonghyun pointed out, and Key gave him a dirty glare.

                “It’s okay,” Taemin said. “I’ll play.” Key grinned and they all lined up at the bottom of the stairs.

                “Ready, set, go!” Key cried, and they all ran as fast as they could. Of course, it was just Taemin’s luck that he’d trip and fall on the first step. Minho stopped and turned around.

                “Taeminnie, are you okay?” he asked. Taemin looked up at him sadly.

                “Hyung…now I have to eat the pepper. I was the slowest,” Taemin pouted.

                “Don’t be silly. You aren’t the slowest. I haven’t finished yet either, have I?” Minho pointed out. Taemin’s eyes brightened.

                “Let’s go to the top together!” he suggested. They walked carefully up the steps and reached the top together.

              “Yah, technically,” Key said in annoyance, “Minho’s foot touched the top first. Taemin has to eat the pepper. Eat it!”

                Taemin clenched his teeth as he put the entire pepper in his mouth. Suddenly Minho kissed him, evoking a gasp from their friends.

                He pulled away and chewed on the pepper that was now in his mouth. He smiled at Taemin as both of their faces turned red and tears streamed down their cheeks.

                The pepper was spicy, but Taemin figured it was more bearable when they had to share the burden. 

A/N: I finally watched Happy Camp today, so this was inspired by that. No comment replies right now because I'm reading manga.
