“Hyung, where do you think my appa is now?” Taemin asked quietly one day, and Minho looked at him.

                “Taeminnie, I thought we agreed that we wouldn’t talk about this,” Minho sighed, and Taemin nodded.

“I know, but…tomorrow’s the anniversary of that day,” Taemin replied. “Do you think he’s okay? Maybe he’s found a new family?”

“You were doing so well, Taeminnie, come on, we don’t have to talk about this,” Minho persisted, but Taemin wouldn’t hear any of it.

“I want to! Hyung, I’ve been thinking about him ever since you gave me Jisoo, since I’m Jisoo’s appa now. Why do you think he left?”

“It has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with you, Taemin,” Minho said seriously. “I’ve told you that before, and I’ll say it every second of every day until you believe me, but it’s not your fault. You were barely two years old when he left. I know that when I see those pictures, I would never leave a two-year old you. And I’d never leave an eighteen-year old you, and I’d never leave a hundred-year old you, because you’re mine, and I love you.”

“It’s always about you,” Taemin laughed as tears fell from his eyes. “And I don’t even mind.”

“It’s about me and not about your appa. I love you, Taeminnie, and isn’t that what matters?” Minho cooed, taking Taemin into his arms.

“Yes, and that’s why I’m still sane,” Taemin replied, hugging Minho tight. “That’s why I don’t dwell.”

“As it should be,” Minho whispered, kissing Taemin’s head.
