“So they just give you free candy because you are no longer dressed as yourself?”, Daniel was still stupefied. I had been trying to explain Halloween to him ever since we found out about the party. “Well, people our age don’t really go around asking for candy, but kids like Woojin get free candy”, I explained. “But why?”, he was just not grasping the concept. “That’s just how trick or treating works”, I answered. “What is the trick part?”, he asked. “Well it’s basically a threat to vandalize houses if the residents don’t give out any candy”, I said. “This is very confusing, yet somehow so exciting”, he beamed. We were going to take Woojin and Daehwi trick or treating. “Has Woojin decided who he wants to be yet?”, the last time I saw him, he had too many options to choose from; most of them were superheroes. “The decision has been made; he is going with Spiderman”, he said, “I’m going over there later to help him and Joongki build a web shooter”. He was getting to experience the childhood all angels missed out on. “So we only need toiletpaper and eggs if no one gives him candy right?”, he was on google again. “Yes, but I highly doubt we are going to need that”, I seemed to have disappointed him.

“So Sungwoon is actually going as an angel. That is too weird. It would be like me going as a human”. That was exactly what I had thought. “Speaking of costumes… any thoughts on yours?”, I kept picturing Daniel dressed up as all the fictional guys I was in love with; a shadowhunter like Jace Herondale, A vampire like Edward Cullen or maybe even a hunter like Dean Winchester. “I don’t really know… how do you normally decide?”, he asked. “Well, I always go as characters I like, from a TV show or book.
