“You didn’t have to walk me all the way to class”, I said. “I am never leaving you alone again”, Daniel said, squeezing my hand tightly. “I do have a guardian angel you know”, I had regretted saying those words, after the expression on Daniel’s face had changed. What was wrong with me! He was still regretting the fact that he had not become my guardian angel. I didn’t understand why that upset him. We were still together; it didn’t change anything. “Sorry”, I said. “You have nothing to be sorry about… I’ll see you later”, Daniel smiled and kissed me goodbye.

“So is that your boyfriend?”, Jonghyun asked, sitting down next to me in class. “Yeah”, I said, shyly. The fact that Daniel was my boyfriend was still surreal to me. “I was just wondering”, Jonghyun said, “Are you doing anything tonight?”. “Uhm”, I did not know how to answer that. “Oh, I’m not asking you out on a date or anything. I could see how in love you and your boyfriend are. I would be a fool to try to come between that”, he said, and I let out a sigh of relief, “I was just wondering if you wanted to join our study group”. I had completely forgotten about this week’s test with everything that had been happening recently. “Yeah, I would really like that actually”. I was grateful for Jonghyun at that moment. I might just be able to pass this test after all. “Great, we are meeting in the library tonight; 4th floor, 7pm”, Jonghyun said. “Cool, I will be there”, I said, before focusing on the rest of the class.

“Hey Tris”, Seongwoo said. He was waiting outside the lecture theatre, “Hey Ong”. “Are you okay?”, he asked. “Yeah, why, did something happen?”, Panic rushed back to me. “Just checking in... no need to panic”, he said. “Could you not sense me again?”, I asked. “Just for a moment, before class”. Seongwoo had started looking inside my class at the rest of the students who were leaving. “I was with Daniel then”, I said, bringing his attention back to me. “I figured as much”, Seongwoo had the same look on his face, that Daniel had whenever I mentioned him. “Are you ever going to see him again?”, I asked. “I spoke to Jae", Seongwoo looked saddened, "He said Danny made it pretty clear he didn’t want to see us again”. “He’s still hurting Ong”, I said. “I know. All I had ever wanted was to ease some of that pain, but he pushed me away”, Seongwoo said, “So it doesn’t matter any more. It's better if we don't cross paths”. I wished I could fix the relationship between Daniel, Seongwoo and Jaehwan. I could tell Daniel missed his brothers, even though he had all that pent up anger towards them. “Sooo... can I walk you to your next class my lady”, Seongwoo said, with that Ong smile returning to his face...
