In all the time I had known that angels were partnered up, I never once stopped to think that Seongwoo had a 'Somi' of his own. Seongwoo and Sejeong; It was almost poetic. “The telescope is ready”, he called out, breaking my train of thought. “I still don’t think this thing is going to work”, Taehyun chimed in. “Well if he had just listened to us, we would have a fully functioning telescope”, Jaehwan added. I still didn’t understand why they had so little faith in this telescope.

“Sorry, it needed to be tweaked a bit before it could actually work”, he sounded sad. “That’s okay”, I wished he could see how insanely happy I was, “thank you again, this really is the sweetest gift”. Seongwoo pulled out a book from his backpack and handed it to me. “The Book of Constellations: Discover the Secrets in the Stars”, I read out the name. “Yeah, you can use it to find stars and stuff”, Seongwoo said. I smiled at him and suddenly it felt as if I was smiling at another girl’s man. Even if Sejeong was in love with someone else, Seongwoo still belonged with her. But why did that even matter? Whether Sejeong was in the picture or not, it wasn’t as if I liked him.

I walked over to a bench and sat down and started going through my new book. “How many minutes before the shower starts?”, I overhead one of the new faces ask. I hadn’t been fully introduced to the other guys as yet. They were all in Jaehwan’s coven, just as I thought, with Sejeong being the seventh member. “About twenty minutes more”, Seongwoo said, “Why do you sound so impatient tonight?”. “Sam’s just eager to go check up on his Nephilim”, Kenta teased and the so called Sam rolled his eyes. “That’s not it”, he argued. “Sure it’s not”, Yongguk winked, “Must be nice having a female Nephilim”.

It was nice to see the covens interact. But I felt weird again. Did I really belong in their world? Why was I here? Yeah, Seongwoo was my guardian angel but why was I hanging out with angels? I knew Daniel wasn’t exactly thrilled about me and Seongwoo spending time together, but I wondered how he would feel knowing I was currently surrounded by fourteen angels from a world he wanted nothing to do with anymore.
