Doctors, Lawyers, and Policemen~

The Emotional Roller Coaster I Call Life With Super Junior

Oh, well harro there, drama. I've missed youu~

Kyuhyun’s POV~

When none of the other guys were looking, Hangeng grabbed me by the arm, dragged me to one of the rooms, and shut the door, turning to look at me. Goodness. I knew this was gonna happen sooner or later.

“Okay, so we needa sort some things out,” he said, trying to stay calm.

I smirked. I knew, deep down inside, that he was trying with all his might not to yell and scream. C’mon hyung, just let it out already. We all know that you’re just dying to yell at me.

“I don’t see anything that needs to be sorted out,” I told him, sitting down on the edge of one of the beds and looking up at him. “I never once said that I was trying to steal Alex away from you. I just needed her to know my true feelings just in case. However, I will say that if I were take Alex away from you, I would never cheat on her.”

His face reddened slightly and his fists shook visibly, but he still held in his anger. I loved being the maknae~ Hangeng began pacing agitatedly as I just sat there, watching him amusedly. He was gonna blow sooner or later. Then he stopped and looked at me.

“Look, I’m not trying to become Leeteuk and Donghae, alright? They’ve still got their problems going on between them, but I don’t want that to happen between us,” he said.

“Hyung,” I said, standing up and placing a hand on his shoulder, looking him dead in the eye, “I already told you that I’m not trying to steal her away from you! So don’t worry, okay? And when I say that, I promise you, I mean it. But promise me one thing, okay? If you’re serious about not becoming Leeteuk and Donghae, then promise me that if the time comes, you let her choose who she wants, okay? I won’t try to force the matter, I won’t treat her any differently, I won’t try to persuade her otherwise, but if she wants to, let her choose, alright?”

Hangeng looked at me uncertainly but sighed and nodded. “Fair enough.”

I smiled and gave him a little nod of my head. I was about to head out when I suddenly thought of something and turned back around. “Oh, and one more thing! If you ever cheat on Alex again, no matter what the circumstances are, I promise you that I won’t be as forgiving as Uki was. I will break your jaw, arasso?”

I expected him to yell at me.

I expected him to scream at me.

I expected him to make up some excuse.

What I didn’t expect was for him to sigh and hang his head low, saying, “Arasso.”

Whoa.

Uki’s POV~

“Does this hurt?”

“Yes that hurts!”

God. I hate doctors and their stupid questions! Why do you think I never became a doctor?!

“Uki, don’t be so mean!” my mom chastised.

“How is he gonna poke me in the ribs that are obviously broken and ask me if it hurts?!” I responded.

The doctor sighed and looked up at me. “Do you even know the extent of your injuries? I’m surprised you’re even alive at this point!”

I sighed when I saw all the guys flinch. I don’t know why, but apparently someone decided to make it a social gathering when the doctor was doing a check up on me. Everyone was sitting here, even the stupid policemen that didn’t know what the hell they were doing! Aish. I. Was. Surrounded. By. Idiots.

“Okay, so run your plan by us, Uki,” the policeman in charge said.

“Simple. I go back. I raise hell. What part of that didn’t you understand?” I replied. “OW! STOP POKING MY RIBS!”

“I need to see how many of them are broken!” the doctor responded.

“Seven of them are broken, two of them are fractured! And before you go around poking the rest of me that hurts, I have a dislocated shoulder, bruised spinal cord, fractured ankles, fractured wrist, torn meniscus, and potential internal bleeding. Oh, and a possible brain hemorrhage, but I haven’t quite decided on that one yet.”

Everyone in the room looked at me in shock. Well, everyone except for my family that is.

“Are you a medical student?” the doctor asked me.

“Pfsht, no. I’m a law student. Med student at one point in my life, but chose the path of law,” I said proudly.

He shook his head at me. “Tsk, tsk. Such wasted talented.”

“Can we just get on with this? I wanna get back to sleep,” I whined.

“Okay, Uki, we needa know. If you are truly planning to go back there, we can’t let you go alone. They might kill you,” the head police officer said again.

I looked at him, blinking for a second. “They won’t kill me. If anything, they’ll probably just knock me around a couple times and lock me in solitary confinement.” I laughed at the memory of when I first pushed that monitor down the stairs. I was in that damn solitary thing for two days! Didn’t change the way I was behaving, but still. It was a good attempt(x

“Even if you think that you’re certain about this, we’d feel a lot better about it if you took one of our female agents along with you,” the cop insisted.

I crossed my arms irritatingly. “If you ask me to take someone along with me one more time, I’ll just sneak out and go by myself, not telling you a thing.”

“That would be obstruction of justice!”

I smirked and looked at him. “I can’t obstruct justice if I don’t know anything that’s going on.”

It was a silent death match between him and me before I won—of course—and he sighed. “Alright. We’ll give you the equipment to still keep in touch with us, though. We need to know when to raid and you’re the only one who can let us know that.”

I smiled, knowing that he was going by my terms now. “Okay, so here’s the thing. You’re gonna need surveillance, but nowhere near the building. That part of town was abandoned, and if they suddenly see some random car there, they’re gonna get suspicious. The ‘equipment’ you give me better not be noticeable because despite the fact that they won’t kill me when I go back there, they just might hit me enough times to where I won’t wake up again if they catch me with some random devices used to contact the outside world. Oh, and don’t you dare conduct a raid unless I say it’s okay, got it? If you do, and any of the girls inside gets hurt for it, I will kill you.”

My mom laughed at me. “Oh, you are so my daughter.”

I flashed her my pearly whites, confirming her words as truth.

“Nope. You’re not going anywhere. If you keep walking on this knee, you’ll be crippled for the rest of your life,” the doctor said, gently examining my knee.

I sighed. “If I were able to run twenty minutes straight on it, I’m sure that I’ll be fine. When I go back there, I won’t be doing any walking.”

“Are you going to fight me on everything I say?”

I thought for a moment. “Yeah, pretty much. C’mon, I’m a lawyer. It’s what we do.”

“You’re not a lawyer yet,” he grumbled.

“Uki, when do you plan on going back? Please, give yourself some time to heal first. You’re not gonna last that much longer if you keep going on like this,” Donghae said, giving me a worried glance.

I smiled and said, “We’ve already had this discussion, Donghae. I told you not ‘till lat—OW! YOU MOVE MY KNEE LIKE THAT ONE MORE TIME AND I WON’T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT MY FOOT DOES TO YOUR FACE!”

The doctor backed away and hid behind one of the policemen. “Maybe I should call in another doctor. I’ve already done all the examinations, and everything you said you had you pretty much have. All that’s left to be done is bandaging up.”

“No!” I immediately yelled, causing everyone to look at me. “No bandaging whatsoever!”

“Uki, if you don’t bandage yourself, your fractured ribs are slowly gonna turn into broken ribs!” Jiwon exclaimed.

I glared at her. Why is she still speaking? “If I bandage myself, they’ll know that I came to see you guys. Then they’ll kill me for sure! Aish, you just don’t ever think, do you?!”

“I already said I was sorry! What else am I supposed to do?!” she yelled at me.

“Go and get yourself kidnapped and beaten for three weeks and then come back and talk to me!”

I shot up and marched out of that hotel room, slamming the door on them and going straight to mine before any of them could follow. God, she made me so mad! How dare she continue speaking to me?! How dare she continue acting as if she were my sister?! SHE IS NOT MY SISTER!

“Uki, can you please open the door?” I heard a soft voice ask.

I let out a breath and smiled. Only him<3 Opening the door, I came face to face with Donghae, looking at me with his puppy dog eyes.

“They always send you to your possible death, don’t they?” I asked with a slight smile.

He smiled at me. “The rest of them knew that they’d probably die if they came and talked to you.” He came in and closed the door, pulling me into the room and sitting me down on the edge of the bed. He sat down in an armchair directly across from me and said, “Uki, I know you’re probably hating her right now, but she is your sister.”

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms, looking the other way. “She is no sister of mine. She’s nothing to me.”

“Uki. You can’t blame her for being so obsessed with messing with you. You’re practically perfect! As far as I’m concerned, even guys have the right to be jealous of you. I mean, think about it. She’s your older sister, and here you are, three years younger than her, showing her up at everything. You beat her at gymnastics, martial arts, figure skating, ballet, violin, cello, school, intelligence,  everything you could possibly think of, you beat her out on.”

I sighed and leaned forward, my forehead resting on his chest. “I know, I know, but what gives her the right to sell me and Alex into a trafficking ring like that?!”

Donghae sighed and hugged me. “I admit. I’m extremely and utterly pissed about that. Everyone is. I’m surprised your parents haven’t disowned her yet. But it was an accident. She didn’t even know that her friends were like that.”

I chuckled. “Donghae, why are you defending that witch?”

He sighed again. “Because. Although she’s horrible to you in every way imaginable and although she wronged Leeteuk in more ways than one, she is your sister. And although you possibly hate her to the very core, you’ll be devastated if she disappeared one day. Trust me. I know the feeling.”

I pulled back and looked up at him, smiling. “I hope you know I’ll probably never forgive her any time soon nor am I going to treat her nicely any time soon. But I will ease up a little. She has you to thank for that.”

He smiled and leaned in, kissing me on the tip of my nose. “I like saving people from your wrath. It makes me feel important.”

I smiled and pulled him toward me, kissing him, savoring the moment I had with him before I had to leave again.
