Mommy, Daddy, and…The Witch~

The Emotional Roller Coaster I Call Life With Super Junior

After sleeping soundly through the night, I woke up so much refreshed, meaning I can finally start doing work around the house again! ^^

I quietly sat up, removing Donghae’s arm from around my waist, and silently tiptoed into the bathroom to take a shower. I was probably in the shower for a good thirty minutes before I realized that the guys were gonna kill me for taking up all the hot water again. After dressing and waiting for my hair to dry, I made my way into the kitchen. Oh goody. I haven’t cooked in a week~

Hmm…I’m feeling some fried rice…omelets…AND KIMCHI. ^^

I looked at the clock to see a steady 7:48 ticking at me. Okay, so I have approximately three hours before everybody starts waking up. I think that’s pretty doable. I was humming to myself, chopping up the vegetables and chicken that was going into the fried rice while thinking about how many eggs would be needed to make enough omelets for everyone.

Then my phone rang. Somehow managing to grab my phone and holding it between my cheek and shoulder without chopping off a finger in the process, I said, “Yebeoseyo?”

“Uki, are you feeling any better?” I heard Siwon’s voice ask.

“Oh, hey, Siwon. Yeah, I’m feeling a lot better. I think I still have the appearance of being sick, but I feel a lot better,” I answered, dropping the chopped vegetables and chicken into a pan.

After hearing the sizzling, Siwon says, “Uki Seohae Choi, are you cooking?! Right after you got over the flu?!”

I sighed. “If you yell at me one more time, I’m hanging up on you.”

He sighed in response. “Okay, okay, I’m sorry. But if Mom sees you cooking right after you recovered, she’s gonna kill me.”

“You worry too much. When are they supposed to be here?”

“I’m heading to the airport right now to pick them up. We should be there around nine or so.”

“Ugh. Loads of fun to look forward to I’m sure.”

“Uki, be nice. You promised Donghae.”

I let out a breath. “Fine, fine, whatever. Just call me so you can give me a heads up of when you’re gonna be here, okay?”

“M’kayy. And don’t work yourself too hard! If you feel any headaches or dizziness, go right back to sleep, okay?”

I nodded, and when I remembered that he couldn’t see the nod, I said, “Alright.”

I hung up the phone and was about to put it back on the counter when I heard a voice ask, “Uki, what are you doing up?!”

Startled, I jumped, and my phone went crashing to the floor. “Oh ,” I said, reaching down and quickly picking it up. Siwon just bought this one, too. Oopsies. ^^ I turned to see who the owner of the voice was.

Oh Henry. Only you.

“Henry, the next time you scare me like that, I’m gonna make you regret ever coming back to Korea,” I threatened.

He laughed at me. “Sorry, Uki. But what are you doing up? Ryeowook is gonna throw a fit if he sees you up and cooking!”

“It’s okay, Henry,” I said, “I’ve missed being in the kitchen, and not even an angry Ryeowook could scare me away. What’re you doing up so early? I didn’t expect anyone to be up ‘till later.”

“Ddangkoma somehow found his way outta his cage and made his way onto my face,” Henry replied, an irritated look entering his eyes.

I busted out laughing as the image of Henry waking up with his face under Ddangkoma’s shell entered my mind. “That’s just too funny!”

“It’s not funny when you wake up and a cold reptile is scratching at your face!” he yelled indignantly, indicating the red marks on his cheeks.

That just made me laugh even harder. I pinched his cheeks. “Aww, poor little Mochi,” I cooed.

“Yah!” He slapped my hands away. “Is that any way to treat your oppa?!”

I rolled my eyes. “Pfsht. If I treat Leeteuk like that, I’m sure that I’m entitled to treating you like that, too.” He pouted at me, which caused me to laugh. “Henry, I’ve learned to ignore Sungmin’s aegyo. I have a feeling yours will have no effect on me.”

He sighed. “You’re impossible. You’re impervious to everybody’s aegyo, except for Donghae’s. And he at it!”

I laughed at him. “Well, Donghae’s a special one. He’s not so easily ignored.”

Henry just sighed and offered to help me with anything else that needed to be done. So for the next thirty minutes or so, Henry and I just cooked, a concept that had been so foreign to me for the past week now.

And then my phone rang again.

Aw hell.

Siwon’s POV~

“Okay, so Jiwon, I’m warning you now. NO fights with Uki, got it? And no bashing the guys, no bashing the group, no bashing anything. Okay?” I asked for the millionth time.

“Oppa, I can’t promise anything until I actually meet them,” was all she said to me.

I sighed. Of my two sisters, I have no shame in saying that Uki was my favorite. Jiwon was just one of those stereotypical girls that didn’t care for anything but themselves. She was self-absorbed, narcissistic, and pretty much just flat out cruel. Didn’t mean I didn’t love her, just meant that I loved Uki more. Okay, now that sounds a little horrible. Let’s rephrase her. Didn’t mean I didn’t love Jiwon, just meant that I got along with Uki better. Okay, now that sounds better. ^^

“Jiwon, please respect your brother’s requests? We’re staying with him after all and we’re here to celebrate Uki’s birthday, so be nice,” my mom said.

“Umma, I don’t know why you didn’t just let me stay at school. I mean honestly? I told you ahead of time that I did not wanna get mixed in with all this celebrity business. I just like to keep a low profile and not mingle in with the camera and whatnot,” Jiwon responded.

“Jiwon, you’re being ridiculous. This is the first time you’re meeting the guys after the little incident five years ago, so try to be nice?” I asked, giving her a quick annoyed glance from my driver’s seat.

She let out a big breath. “Okay, fine. I’ll…Try to be nice. Happy?”

A sigh was my only response before I picked up my phone to let Uki know that we were almost there.

Alex’s POV~

I woke up when the smell of food hit my senses. That’s not an everyday occurrence. Oh jeez. Don’t tell me one of the guys was experimenting with cooking again. I quickly threw on my glasses and jumped out of my bed, tryna be a ninja, but epically failed when I got tangled up in my blankets and crashed to the floor. Oh damn it. I kicked the blankets off and ran to the kitchen to see Uki up and about, making food with a tenseness and coldness in her muscles and movements that just didn’t seem very Uki-like at all. I looked to Henry for an explanation.

He mouthed the word ‘Sister’ and I immediately nodded my head in understanding.

“H-hey, Uki, anything I can help you with?” I asked nervously.

She was so concentrated on what she was doing she didn’t even notice I said anything. Henry had to tap her on the shoulder and tell her that I was standing right there. She looked up at me. “Huh? Oh, no, not really. You should go shower. My parents are almost here.” She smiled, but I knew that deep down inside, she wanted to punch something.

I nodded an okay and went off to take a shower. After which, I dried my hair and just dressed in a simple T-shirt and shorts. I could already hear people talking outside. Oh crap, they’re here already? I quickly put my glasses on and went outside to see that the rest of the house had woken up, too, some already hugging Siwon’s parents while their mom was fussing over Uki.

“Uki Seohae Choi, you’re sick and you’re in the kitchen cooking?! That is unacceptable!” I heard her mom say.

“Mother!” Uki responded.

As I finally came into view, I saw Uki’s mom chastising her on working while she was sick and Uki being her usual self, saying that she was fine and that she was perfectly okay with doing all the work. And then she saw the bruise.

“WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE?!” her mom exclaimed.

Uki’s eyes grew wide as her hand immediately flew up to cover her bruise. I’m guessing that she had meant to cover it before they got here but completely forgot about it?

“DID SOMEONE HIT YOU?! WHAT HAPPENED?!” she exclaimed again.

“I ran into a door, Mom!” Uki responded. “I was getting up to go to the bathroom and got so dizzy, I ran into the door. Trust me, it’s gotten better since when I first got it.”

Gotten better?! The damn thing had somehow grown in size, covering the upper half of her cheekbone now. Not only that, but it was now a darker, uglier, and nastier shade of black, blue, and purple all mixed in together. How in the world has that gotten better?!

“Uki! You needa be more careful!” her mother continued to chastise.

“Aish, mother! When you’re busy taking care of a household of fifteen people, you don’t necessarily think about being careful,” Uki said.

“How does that even make sense?” her mother asked.

I had to laugh. They were so much alike it was ridiculous!

Uki thought for a second then shook her head. “I don’t even know. I’m running off a weeks’ worth of sleep since the two months I’ve gotten here. Cut me some slack.”

“Uki!”

“Fifteen people manage to live in here?” I heard a voice ask.

The room went quiet. I turned to the other girl that entered the room. Fljlskahjglknorifthbbn! WHY WAS EVERYONE IN THE CHOI FAMILY SO EFFING GORGEOUS?! Just looking at her—Jiwon, wasn’t it?—I could automatically tell that she was Siwon’s sister. But she looked nothing like Uki. Come to think of it…Neither did Siwon…Or their parents! O.O I examined Jiwon closer. Big gorgeous brown eyes that I could tell she used to manipulate people. Soft creamy skin and natural pink cheeks. She had straight black hair that was enviously silky. She was so freaking skinny it wasn’t fair! What the heck?! WHY ARE THEY ALL SO PRETTY?!

I examined hers and Siwon’s eyes. Same exact brown eyes. Then I looked to Uki, who was slightly frowning now. WHERE THE HELL DID SHE GET HER GREEN AND GOLD EYES FROM?! Maybe her parents? I looked at them. Nope. Dark brown eyes, just like Siwon and Jiwon’s. Okay, I’m officially lost.

After pulling myself from my mental rant, I noticed that the tension in the air had thickened so much, it was almost suffocating as Jiwon and Uki had an intense, silent staring showdown. Siwon uncomfortably cleared his throat and said, “Th-this is, ah, my other little sister, Jiwon. Jiwon, this is Leeteuk, Heechul, Hangeng, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Zhou Mi, Donghae, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, Henry, and Alex.”

As Siwon went through introducing everybody, we each stepped up and gave a slight nod when it was our turn. Jiwon nodded in return and after Siwon was done, she steps forward and says, “I’m Choi Jiwon, the other Choi sister. And yes, I introduce myself in a Korean manner because that’s what a good Korean girl does.”

I looked over to see Uki still had a smile on her face, but it was obviously forced and even from where I was standing, I could hear her audibly grinding her teeth. But she just went forward with a smile and said, “Oh Jiwon, it’s so nice to see you again.”

“You know, lying causes wrinkles,” Jiwon said, snidely looking the other direction.

“Is that how you got yours?” Uki asked with a smile.

Ohh. Wow. I could tell that the other guys were itching to laugh, but they knew they shouldn’t.

“Jiwon, Uki, I don’t want any fighting, do you understand?” their dad asked.

“Of course, appa! I would never wanna do anything to hurt you. Um, Siwon, have you seen my Bible anywhere? Do you think I left it in the car? I wanna get some reading done before I eat,” Jiwon said, casting Uki a nasty glare accompanied by a snide smile.

Uki looked like she really wanted to punch Jiwon square in the face, and quite frankly? I can’t blame her! This girl’s a total Queen B!

Uki walked to the table beside the couch casually and picked up a thick book. Bible I’m guessing? She walked to Jiwon and handed her the book nicely. “Why don’t you borrow mine? I’d hate to have see you walk all the way down there to have to get yours when my Bible is perfectly available to your use at any time you need it.”

Jiwon blinked at the Bible Uki was extending and took it. “Thanks,” she said with no gratitude in her voice whatsoever.

“Don’t mention it,” Uki said with a sarcastic smile.

Siwon stepped in between Jiwon and Uki, separating the feuding sisters. “Okay! So how about we eat, eh?”

Neither sister moved, just continued staring coldly at each other. Siwon gave Donghae a look and he nodded quickly in understanding. He quickly came over and picked Uki up, pinning her arms to her sides so she couldn’t punch anything in anger. After a hushed argument with Jiwon, Siwon and his parents finally made their way to the dining room. I snuck another glance at Jiwon before she walked huffily to join everybody else.

I’d only known the chick for five minutes, and I already dislike her.

Okay, so I'm sure that in real life Jiwon is TOTALLY nothing like how I'm describing her. I'm sure that she's very nice and very sweet and not a in any way at all. Lol. But I needed to describer her like this for a more important part that comes up later in the story. ;D Hahaha. So please don't go hating her! Lol.

And ah! I love Siwon as a nerd!<3 ^^
