"Can we possibly be together?" Jia asked herself while laying upside down on her bed. She was looking through pictures of her with her best friend. They were always together; they were inseparatable. Ever since they met in elementary school, they just clicked. The two of them matched so well. They had similar interests, opinions, and views on things. They were the type of friends that can literally spend the entire day talking about anything and everything without either one of them getting bored or tired. Everything seemed perfect for their friendship. However, there was one thing that might ruin it.

Jia liked her own best friend.

She didn't know when she started to like him, why, or how. She just did. She felt guilty for doing so, because this could potentionally ruin the bond between them if he didn't like her back. She was aware of this, so she chose to supress the feelings and act like everything was totally normal.

Even though it was not.

She yearned for the day where she would be able to say that her best friend was her boyfriend, and vice versa. She fell for him a little too hard, and it didn't help that he was the closest person in the world to her. However, she convinced herself that he would never like her back.

He was so perfect in her eyes, and even the eyes of all the other girls at the school. He was good looking, nice, smart, funny, and caring. He was a talented singer and an amazing pianist. He was the ideal crush of every girl, and he happened to be his own best friend's crush as well.

Jia sat up to look at herself in the long mirror hung at her walk in closest's door. In her eyes, she thought she was ugly. Especially compared to all the beautiful girls at her school. I can't sing, dance, play an instrument, or cook. I'm not pretty. Why in the world would Woohyun like something like me when he's.. him? she thought to herself. And this is why she kept in a secret from the entire world.

The next day, Woohyun came at 7:30AM to pick her up for school. The two of them always walked to school together. They always arrive at school ten to fifteen minutes earlier than they have to, but in that time they sit under a tree in the school's large park-life field and talk or study. They were both in their third year of high school, which meant that they were going to graduate this year. The two of them already planned to go to the same college and have the same jobs when they graduate college, or at least jobs that were closely connected together.

Jia came out five minutes after he came to her house. She brightened up when she saw her best friend waiting for her. "Woohyun ah! Good morning!" she said with her bright, cheerful voice.

Woohyun smiled. "Good morning, Jia. Let's go to school." And with that, they took off. On the way to school, they talked, teased each other, and had a nice time. It was like this every morning, and both wanted this to stay the same.

Woohyun was in his second period class, which was PE. He changed into his PE clothes and walked outside. He saw a few of his guy friends playing soccer with a few other seniors that he didn't know that well.

"Woohyun ah! Come play soccer with us! We're uneven," Sunggyu called out. Woohyun jogged over to the field.

The ten senior guys played a nice, competetive game of soccer. It was a close game, but at the last minute the star soccer player Woohyun made a goal. He made the winning goal. His team cheered, and the ten guys headed back to the gym, where the locker rooms were.
