Eunchae had a concern that was bothering her an awful lot these days. There wasn't any problem in her family or at school, but this was something that has been taking over all the thoughts of her head recently.

As a freshman in university, she had been careful to not get the attention of her seniors. She didn't want to be that annoying nuisance of a freshman that the seniors dreaded, so she tried to stay out of sight and tried to be as uninvolved with the seniors as possible. She didn't want to get on the bad side of any of them.

However, that plan was slowly going to ruins as this certain individual came into her life.

Hwang Minhyun.

Minhyun was a fourth year, so he was a senior at her university. However, he wasn't just any senior. He happened to be the most well-known, popular senior amongst the whole school. He was a really nice guy and a sweet gentleman, but it was his looks that caused his popularity to explode. At first glance, he seemed to be any old typical flower boy, but the more you saw him, he was more than that. He was very handsome and charming, and even the guys all envied his good looks. Eventually, he gathered his own unofficial fan club amongst the girls at their school. All the girls would squeal and take another look at him whenever he passes by. Not unaware to this attention, Minhyun simply greeted them all with a smile.

And one day, the Hwang Minhyun barged into her life and refused to leave.

She accidently (and literally) bumped into him at the university library one day, making him drop all the books in his arms. She gave him an apologetic bow and saying "I'm so sorry, Sunbae!" to him a billion times after she picked up all of their books and papers that were sprawled all over the floor around them. But from that day on, he seemed to go out of his way to find her.

At first, she didn't think much of it. When he first came to find her, he had told her that he accidently swapped one of his research papers for hers, which undoubtedly looked similar because both were simply blocks of text. However, the other excuses appeared...unnecessary to her. One time he came up to her simply to ask what her name was, and the next time he asked her if she was in any clubs or activities. After politely answering his questions, she often found an excuse to escape. All the students around them were staring at them and giving the two their undivided attention, as they were curious why the Hwang Minhyun was approaching a mere freshman.

Just when she thought he might've given up because it was midterm season, he popped up again somehow today.

"Hi, Eunchae!" Minhyun said, greeting her with a friendly smile.

Eunchae looked up from the table, which was covered with textbooks, digital devices, and various writing utensils.

"Oh, h-hi Sunbae," Eunchae greeted with a slight bow of her head in respect.

Minhyun seemed to hestitate before he spoke again. "Do you mind if I join you?"

This surprised Eunchae. Most of the time, Minhyun simply asked her a random question or greeted her before leaving, but he never really hung out with her properly. However, despite the dreaded attention she figured the two of them would get from all the other students, she agreed to let him stay.

"Thanks," Minhyun said with a smile as he sat down. "What are you studying?"

"We're learning about signal transduction right now in Biology 22," Eunchae replied.

"Oh, I remember that class! That midterm was a killer. I think I stayed up for three days straight," Minhyun said, chuckling.

Eunchae sighed. "Yeah, it's a little confusing."

Minhyun looked over at her textbook. "Do you need any help?"

Eunchae paused before she nodded. "Do you mind explaining this?"

"Of course! Here, so if you look at this picture right here..."
