Chan walked to the bus stop and sat on the bench that had a sheltered covering over it. It was night time, around the time where many people were already home from work and enjoying a warm meal with their family. Chan, however, coming from a poor family, was going home from her part time job at 9PM. At this time, rarely anyone was out this late. It was winter as well, which meant that the weather outside was freezing. No one wanted to be out in this weather, so she sat at the bus stop alone, rubbing her arms for warmth. But knowing what time it was, she knew that she had to wait at least an hour before the next bus would come. Since it was so late, the intervals between the bus' stopping at the bus stop grew longer and longer. She was used to this, however. But today, it was exceptionally cold. She was wearing her school uniform, and the skirt that went up to her knees and the thin blazer gave her no warmth at all. Shivering, she waited for the bus to come.

Slowly, as time passed, a few more people gathered at the bus stop. Chan wished that she could've brought a warm jacket like the rest of the people waiting at the bus stop had done. She leaned against the pole and tried to ignore the cold.

Jaebum, or more known as JB, had to go to his grandpa's house to stay that night. Having busy, rich parents who worked at a well off business, he felt lonely at times. Yeah, he was really popular at school. Yeah, he had his six really close friends. But he never showed that he was lonely once he was out of school. And it would be rude to barge into his friends' house because he knew that their parents would come at this time. Coming straight from work, his friends' parents would be exhausted. He didn't want to be bothersome to them, so he decided to go visit his grandparents. He had to take the bus to get there, because it was a bit far from his school and his parents' house. He walked over to the bus stop after going to his house to bring some of his belongings. He sat besides a girl who was leaning against the pole.

He glanced at her and noticed that she went to the same school as him. He carefully looked at her face and recognized her as Park Chan. Chan wasn't one of those extremely popular, well known students like him, but she had her fairshare of admirers. He always thought she was pretty, and his Got7 friends agreed.

He frowned when he saw that she was only wearing the thin school uniform. Does she not know how cold it gets at this time? Why did she not bring a warm jacket? Ignoring it, he tried to keep his mind on his phone.

However, it was bothering him. He always hated those girls who acted like damsels in distress just to get his attention, but he knew that she hadn't opened her eyes to see him yet. She was sleeping ever since he came to the bus stop.

Sighing, he pulled off his warm gray jacket. He gently placed it over her like a blanket, and he noticed that her tense face relaxed as her body warmed up. Finally feeling at ease, he sat down again and played with his phone, trying to ignore the cold.

After another half hour, the bus had finally come. Seeing it, JB stood up to walk towards it. He noticed that Chan still hadn't woken up. She'll have to wait for an hour and thirty minutes for the next one if she misses this one. He glanced at the bus driver and asked him to wait a bit before he jogged back to the bus stop. He gently shook her awake after taking the jacket off of her.

"Chan. Hey, Chan. Wake up. The bus is here," JB said.

Slowly, Chan opened her eyes. She rubbed it before seeing JB. She woke up from her dazed state seeing him. "Oh, JB. What are you doing here?"

"The bus came, Chan. Hurry," JB urged her. She nodded and jogged to the bus with him. They went on the bus and scanned their card before looking for a seat.

JB saw two empty seats and headed towards it before sitting down. Chan, not wanting to bother him, sat at another seat. JB realized that she had not sat with him. He stood up and walked over to where she was before sitting down besides her.

"I thought you were going to sit with me," JB said.

Chan blinked at him, shocked that he sat besides her. "Oh, I didn't know you were expecting me to.

JB chuckled. "I guess you didn't."

For the ride, they sat in silence. Strangely, it wasn't an awkward silence, but rather a comfortable one. But JB wanted to get to know her, for some reason. Maybe he had a little crush on her, especially after he saw her sleeping at the bus stop.

"Do you live in this direction?" he asked her.

Feeling a little uncomfortable with the question that was related to her family's financial issues. "Y-yeah."

"Do you have a sibling?" he asked again.
