LettingHimGo: Um. I don't know how to put this.. Okay so there's this guy I like. He's two year older than me. We both go to the same high school. We know each other since middle school. I didn't have any feelings for him. Until I keep seeing him at school. My feelings grew bigger and bigger. There's time where I think we might have a chance together but I know there won't be. I keep trying to forget about him but I can't. I don't want to like him. I'm trying so hard but I just can't stop thinking about him. I know I shouldn't like him since one of my friend I made in high school used to like. They both used to like each other but she doesn't like him anymore. I still think I should let him go and never talk to him again(well only sometimes). But it's too hard for me somehow. I see him at school, during passing time and lunch. I alway try to avoid him. Sometimes I catch him looking at me. But I know that's just a glance like "oh that a girl I know" I guess.
I'm afraid to fell in love. I'm too scare to be a in relationship. I hate him for making me fall for him. No. I hate myself for falling for him. I don't want to like him. I know he's nothing but someone that I used to know. But yet, I wanna know how it feels to be in love, to be in a relationship, to be a girlfriend. I don't know what I'm thinking.. I just want to get over him.

Love is always a delicate and complicated subject. It can either bring you to your greatest joy and happiness, or be the downfall that sends you into a pit of despair. The way I see it, you can actually get yourself out of this little confusion(:

First thing I want to tell you LettingHimGo is to never doubt yourself. Every single girl out there has a chance with every single guy, no matter how big or small. Some may have the upper hand but that doesn’t mean you’re completely out of the race LettingHimGo. So don’t automatically label yourself last place if the race hasn’t even started ;]

Also, just because your friend used to like him doesn’t mean much. Unless the two were in love and it ended in disaster, you still have the option to like this guy. A true friend wouldn’t hold you back on someone you might have a chance with, just because they used to like him. And besides, it was in the past and like you said so yourself – she doesn’t like him anymore.

Given your situation I think that you actually have four options. The first one is that you can actually cut off ties with him. This may seem dramatic but if you feel like just his presence alone is setting you off, then the best way to get rid of this is to simply pull him out of your life. It’ll be hard but it can actually send him out of your thoughts and mind. However, I don’t recommend this option.

The second option you have is to simply go with the flow. If you actually like this guy and he treats you well, then I see no reason that you shouldn’t take a chance at this. Who knows? Maybe he’ll be one of the key’s to ringing you happiness(:

Another option you have is to confess your feelings. I know that is also a drastic option but hear me out. If you confess there are probably going to be three outcomes. He’ll either say he likes you back and you guys can work your way up from there, or kindly deny you. If he denies you you’ll both either continue to be friends or he’ll try to distance himself from you. Although this might backfire, I think that if he tells you his answer, it should give you a type of closure and you can move on from your life(:

And your final option is to not do anything and let time take its course. Who knows, maybe over time you’ll find out that this was nothing more than a crush? Or maybe you’ll realize that since you aren’t ready for a relationship, this crush will die on its own.

IF anything, I don’t think you are in love LettingHimGo. High school is only the beginning and falling in love this early is nearly impossible. The best kind of love happens naturally and that’s the best advice I can give you. Don’t force a relationship and don’t rush into one, if it was meant to be then let it be so(: Sorry I couldn’t get to your letter earlier LettingHimGo >_<
