Hana: First, I'm really sorry about my grammar. English is not my first language. It's my third language. :). So, my problem is about my friends. Let's name them V , A and Y. I met A when we were 7 years old and from that time we're always hang out together until now. I'm 13 now! ^^ Then, A and I met V when we were 8 years old. Same like I just told you, we always hang out each other. We became friend with Y when we were 11 years old so..Y is still new in our group. All of us have one similarities. Our obsession to Korea. Not really obsessed. ._.

In my country, when you turned 13, you will move to a new school called ' secondary school ' [ 13-17 years old ]. For 7-12 years old students, they will study in a school called 'primary school'. Just want to explain you if you're confused. ^^. So, we moved to a new school together since we are bestfriend..I thought.

One day, V was chosen as one of the prefect in our school. At first, A, Y and me were really happy for her but I never thought she will change after being chosen. She started to become really weird. She's following all Korean styles like their hairstyles, outfits or etc. For a few years we've been friends, she's not a type of person that always wear make up to go to school.
In fact, if you're wearing makeup in our school, you will get detention or punishment. V also like to call people 'babo' now. Even we, her friends. And, Y noticed that she tried to get everyone's attention especially boys. Back then when we were in primary school, she's not even close to any boys.
Sometimes, she will make fun of our religion. A,Y and me is a Muslim. She's the only one Christian [ Angelican ] in our group. We have never make fun or even tell her that her religion is bad or etc. But..her? @_@
Y started to hate her now. A also is starting to hate her. Me? I don't how to feel. Angry? Sad? or what? I'm a person who hate a person only for a while. Then, I'll just forget. But, I don't know about her. Hating her seems..wrong?
Somtimes, I really want to tell V how she changed so much this year. She's even going to change her hair's colour! She's a prefect and must show a good attitude to all of the students in our school. But, I'm afraid to tell her. I'm afraid if this friendship of us will break. Can you help me what to do?

Friend: Dear Hana,

First off, I congratulate you for keeping your friends for such a long time(: A and Y seem like some pretty good friends if you’ve known them for this long(: Congratulations on hitting the 13 year mark! It’ll be a great year for you and I bet you’re just dying to hit that sweet 16 mark next ;) It’s good that you’re not the type of person to go ballistic and throw a fit at your friends if they do things like V has done, but it’s not good to just stay quiet and take everything in by yourself. Here’s some advice I’ll offer to you(:

If V has begun to change (whether it be physically or mentally) and you aren’t fond of it, then I see no reason as to why you shouldn’t let her know your opinion. After all, you guys are best friends. Aren’t best friends supposed to be honest with one another at all times? If she’s hurting your feelings and insulting you and your religion, then I see no reason as to why you can’t pull her aside and calmly explain to her that she’s hurting your feelings. Sometimes people don’t realize that their words are insulting. Sometimes they might see it as a joke and are not aware of the pain it’s inflicting on the others. The truth may hurt but it’ll set you free, and that’s just what you may need to do before things get too out of hand Hana. Don’t worry, just breathe and calmly talk this out with V(: If it makes you feel better, take Y and A with you and you can all catch up and talk it out.

As the years go by, everyone goes through changes (some more than others). It’s just a natural part of life. After all, we can’t all be kids forever right? :P V might just be changing and trying out new things and discovering some parts about herself. But deep down, I still think the old V that you’ve laughed and joked around with is in there somewhere ;) You just have to dig a little deeper and she’ll come through(:

Don’t be scared to tell her your opinion Hana! As a friend, wouldn’t you want her to be honest with you if you were in her position? Friends have to look out for one another and they’re the ones who are supposed to tell you if you’ve stepped over the boundary line. A true friend should never hate you for being honest with them and sharing your opinions(:

You shouldn’t be asking me how you’re supposed to feel about this because me and you aren’t the same person Hana(: I can only give you so much advice before you’ll have to figure out what you want to you about it. I’ll be there to try and clear things up and let you see your options, but I can’t make the decision for you on whether or not you should be sad or angry with her. Do what you think is right and follow your heart(:
