RomanticDreamer: I really wish I could have a boyfriend. My life is boring and I want a bit of romance in it, and I know it sounds pathetic but I just really wish for someone to make me feel giddy in that sort of way.
I don't even interact with guys in general, as I go to an all-girls school...
It doesn't help either that I'm somewhat shy and my parents are incredibly protective over me. It's not that I'm a reckless person, and if I do say so myself I am reasonably responsible... but when I so much as mention boys they go crazy.
And not to mention, I'm also really shy.
But when I see couples together, it makes me jealous, and I wish that I could have that too! What can I do to stop being this way?

I think all of us girls go through a time when we just want a boyfriend, but it’s something we simply want and not necessarily need. We all see those couples on the streets that we envision to be perfect and lovey dovey 24/7 when in reality they’re probably just your average couple you see holding hands – nothing more or less. Who says you need a boyfriend to be happy? ;)

Seeing as your parents are so opposed to the idea of a boyfriend, maybe right now wouldn’t be such a great time to jump into a relationship. I know we all think our parents are over-protective of us and we think that they are restricting us from any freedom, but at the end of the day they’re still your parents. That being said, they only do what they think is best for you(:

If you’re so desperately seeking a relationship, that’s never a good sign. Jumping into a relationship simply because you want one can often end in utter disaster. You can’t develop feelings for someone in the blink of an eye and barge right into a relationship! If it’s really meant to be, things will fall into place all on their own and everything will happen naturally. Going into a relationship means that you are sure of your feelings for one another and that’s when things will finally blossom from that point onwards(:

Please don’t take this offensively but how old are you? If you’re still in middle school/junior high school then I don’t see any reason for you to rush into a relationship. People start those things where they think that a relationship is when you only hug the other person in the hallways and say you like one another, but it’s so much more than that. If you’re still at a young age, again please don’t be offended or think that I’m belittling you in any way, then there’s really no reason you should want to jump at the idea of getting a boyfriend. When the time comes it’ll happen, trust me. And besides, after being so patient the wait will be all worth it when you find that lucky guy ;)

If you say your life is boring, then adding romance to your life isn’t the only way out of that corner. If you’re bored, go do something fun then! Gather up a bunch of your girl friends from school and hang out together(: Who says you need a man in your life to spice things up a little? Friends are just as good, if not better, than a relationship. Go out and have fun, enjoy yourselves, live a little! The minute you crack that first laugh or scream your head off from all that excitement, the thought of wanting a boyfriend will simply be cast away. You’ll be so busy laughing and not wanting the day to end, that you won’t even have time to think of a guy(:

Just be patient RomanticDreamer. When the time comes, you’ll find your prince charming and have your happily ever after(:
