Two girls were bound by the church and court, sharing their commitment of undying love for their loved ones and each other. Both were queens of their tycoons yet one took over her throne while the other gave it to another. But for whatever it’s worth, both were devoted for each other.

Well technically, one was the whipped of the two. 

“Again with your stalking tendencies, Kkura.”

“It can never be helped, Kwangbae.” The brunette mumbled, holding her cup of coffee as her eyes glued to one of the servers. “Jjaeyeon is of the utmost importance right now.”

The said one, CEO Miyawaki Sakura, continued to observe by their mahogany table, sitting on the leather chair and sipping her original brewed coffee made with love. Her COO Kang Hyewon was across her, munching on croissants of every flavor in the menu. Despite her huge appetite, she maintained a wonderful physique most people would ogle for.

That wasn’t the main topic here. The main topic was of the cashier Sakura had been eyeing.

“I can only see my wife during vacant hours while you see yours most of the time.” Sakura spoke. “Can’t you cut your boss some slack?”

“What kind of a partner stalks her partner at work?” Hyewon asked. “Forgive me for the term but that’s just how I see it.”

“Well, get used to it, Kwangbae.” Sakura spoke again. “Aren’t you and Eunbi like that?”

The COO nodded and shrugged; a sign that she agreed to disagree. Sakura continued to do her stalking business when her proprietor finally caught her red-handed. The latter got closer, Sakura was bracing herself, and Hyewon waved at her, smirked at the boss, and went outside to give them room and to give herself a good smoke. 

Lee Café was the establishment they were in and it was ran by Lee Chaeyeon, the said proprietor. Despite having it huge of being a tycoon successor, she handed it over to her sister and has proven her fame and skills through delicious dishes and courteous services. She decided to put her business savvy into a cafe and hired friends who were hardworking, righteous, and were wanting to work and follow her passion.

She happened to be her stalker’s wife. She was the wife of one of the most powerful businesswoman in the country.

Chaeyeon took over Hyewon’s seat and crossed her arms and legs, almost taunting the CEO and forcing her consciousness into submission. Sakura smites her staff but is smitten to her wife; the love of her life and her heart’s true desire.

“Kkura, don’t forget that it’s still the weekdays. Work day.” 

“I know...but can’t I see my beloved?” Sakura raised as she reached for her hand.

Chaeyeon sighed and held back. Sakura’s serious look disappeared and was replaced with a giddy grin. Chaeyeon couldn’t hold her laughter.

“Aren’t you going to call my sister-in-law back?”

“Kwangbae’s fine outside. She’d die to light another stick. Now…” She reached for Chaeyeon’s hand and lets it cup her face. “…be with me today.”

“I am…” Chaeyeon nodded and decided to enjoy this moment with her beloved.

Work was tiring due to a whopping line of customers yet Chaeyeon devoted her work hours to serve them. Despite being the owner, Chaeyeon devoted to work hands-on, making food and drinks and serving them with grace and speed.

The usual smell of bread and pork soothed everyone’s nostrils. It was the time where Chaeyeon introduced a new dish to the menu: spicy pulled pork sandwiches. Customers lined up for second orders and the café catered them all.

“Slow down, Hiichan.” Chaeyeon helped her with the transaction. “Go get some sandwiches. I’ll take over from here.”

Honda Hitomi nodded and did what she was told. Just then, her phone buzzed in her pocket while she was punching orders. She a hunch on who called but she had to focus on work. She managed to punch all orders and serve all customers their sandwiches before going to the kitchen to check her phone.

“Hey, boss. Isn’t that Big Boss?”

Chaeyeon looked up and chuckled. “Yes. It’s the Big Boss, Won."

Jang Wonyoung might be the newest addition to the café but she understood the works the quickest. She was good at entertaining customers and has become a sole member to boost their market for her model-like looks. Sometimes, Chaeyeon thought the young employee was better off as a model rather than a café worker.

Chaeyeon could say the same thing to herself. Being the CEO of their family company had bigger pay yet she wanted to do what she loved: earning a business and being a simple housewife for her beloved.

“Shoot. Kkura!” Chaeyeon rushed at their resting area, remembering to call her again.

Chaeyeon looked at the phone and waited like an obedient child. As the timer started, Chaeyeon answered, just as Sakura answered. They ended up insisting that the other should speak up first until they ended up laughing.

“So what made you call earlier?” Chaeyeon asked after she dusted her apron off. “I’m sorry I didn’t answer earlier. I whipped up a new menu item and everyone ordered.”

I missed you, baby. It’s okay. I reckoned you were busy but I couldn’t help but call.

“Do you know that you’re adorable doing that?” Chaeyeon cooed and pouted close to the receiver, as if she was giving a kiss.

Sakura was whipped on the other line, laughing and smiling to beat the Sun’s vibrant shine. Hearing Chaeyeon’s voice made her heart all tingly and wonderful, as if all her problems were gone with just her voice.

You’re cuter, baby. Anyway, I also called because I won’t be able to pick you up from work. I’ll be having a meeting in a few minutes.

“You don’t need to, love. I brought my scooter with me. You can do that tomorrow, okay?” Chaeyeon assured her. “I hope you’ll be home earlier than usual. I’ll cook you some omurice.”

Sakura gleamed on the other line and Chaeyeon couldn’t help but ogle. “Okay. Return to your work now. We’ll talk later.”

Noo~ I want to talk to you more. Please~?

Chaeyeon couldn’t help her admiration and ogling. She loved Sakura everyday and in every way. She meant a lot to Chaeyeon that one frown from Sakura made Chaeyeon uneasy.

Nonetheless, she agreed and talked until they needed to return to work.

Work for today was another success. Everyone was putting a lot of effort to serve food, clean tables, collect money, and wash dishes. Despite the tired day, they were relieved to serve every customer to the best of their services.

Wonyoung shuts the doors and everyone applauded for a job well done. Because of their utmost effort, Chaeyeon paid them in advance. Everyone was happy and thanked Chaeyeon, even the Hitomi groveled at her feet.

“Use it well.” Chaeyeon always reminded them. “Save if you can.”

Everyone nodded. Chaeyeon excused herself first and everyone knew why.

“Don’t you usually get picked by Big Boss, boss?”

“Not today, Yul.” Chaeyeon answered to another favored staff, Jo Yuri. “She’s having a meeting.”

Yuri nodded and Chaeyeon bided them farewell again. She got to her blue-minted scooter, puts her helmet and turned the engine on.

“Will you be okay on a scooter, boss?” Hitomi asked her. “Driving two-wheeled vehicles isn’t safe these days.”

“Hiichan has a point, boss.” Yuri interjected. “My girlfriend can pick us up from here, boss. You should come with us.

“I get to join too, Yul.” Wonyoung nudged. “Our girlfriends are partners in crime, remember? We can have Boss sit in the front with Yena while Yujin and us will beat the back.”

Chaeyeon chuckled silently as she watched her favorite employees bicker about her safety. She was touched with their plights but she was the boss who wants to assure to her employees that she’ll be okay.

“Girls.” Chaeyeon called and the three stopped. “Thank you for your concerns but I can drive. It’ll be okay. I’ll be careful.”

“Okay, boss.” The three saluted.

Chaeyeon joined their antics by saluting back at them and revved her scooter. She drove as the trio bid farewell. She honked as a reply and put their words in mind.

Chaeyeon was a very careful driver. She doesn’t overtake, made sure to give the proper light signals, and always concentrated on the road and her side mirrors. That is why, her ride towards home would be fine…

…until now. Chaeyeon's conscience wished she should have come with Wonyoung and Yuri to respect their plights.

Chaeyeon couldn’t act quick enough as a huge light greeted her right side, a collision was felt, and her world became dark.
