365 with ZOZI [HIATUS]

Physical education is a component to better healthy lifestyle. As it is received in any premier institution for learning, it helps students become responsible and aware of what they can do to lead a healthy lifestyle. Through the various teachings of nutrition and exercise, students retain  a higher level of knowledge to retain their health in order for them to make overall decision with regards to their own health, safety, and well-being.

“Come on, Yena. Play with us.”

“No. I won’t, Yujin.” Yena spoke as she stuck a tongue. “I’m having my period.”

It was a sunny day and two sections were having a merged class, playing dodgeball. Yena was disregarding the subject’s importance as an excuse not to get hit.

Alas. A ball hits her face and the source of it was from a classmate with cute cheeks.

“We’re not buying it, Yena.”

“You could’ve thrown a smaller ball, Hitomi.” Yena sighed and got up.

Yena rubbed her lips and lost her own bet, joining the classes. She even saw Sakura grabbing one of the balls and throwing it at the hoop…

…to which she failed.

Yena was the first to laugh. The rest could only chuckle.

“Nice shot, Sakura. I heard your limbs crack, though – “

Another blow strikes Yena’s face as the rest of the classes had their turn to laugh. Yena huffed as she up, rubbing her pouty lips again.

“Now that’s what I call spirit.” Coach Bae spoke as the classes lined up. “Alright. Let’s have the first game. Class A vs Class B.”

“Ma’am.” A midget raised.

“You’re in Class A, Nako.”

“I know…but can we have some safety guidelines?” She asked.

“Sure.” Coach Bae raised a thumb. “Hit the midget, kids!”

Nako yelped and ran for her life as dodgeballs fired towards her.

Objectively, physical education is very important in the life of a student. The inclusion of different fitness activities enables good retention in the development of muscular strength and cardiovascular strength. Regular activities done by institutions every week also improves vital processes that our body does and needs to stay healthy. It also improves our motor skills, practicing good reflexes and hand-eye coordination which are good in developing movements our body does to accomplish various tasks.

Nako’s tiny screams were the loudest as Hitomi and Eunbi were neck to neck in a marathon. Yena had to pull her to sit down again, asking. “You’re betting for your girlfriend, aren’t you?”

“Pft. I love Hitomi and all but Eunbi’s gonna win.” She spoke then screamed. “Go, Hitomi! You don’t have to be a Olympian, Eunbi! We know you run fast!”

“And besides, you’re – “

“She’s what, Yena?”

Yena chuckled and continued. “ – Chaeyeon’s wife.”

Chaeyeon raised an eyebrow before Yena patted her arm to let go of the head-lock. “Damnit, Chaeyeon! She’s your wife!”

“Perfect.” Chaeyeon lets go and returned to cheer.

The race ended and just as predicted, Eunbi won. Hitomi got to her spot next to Nako and sulked because of her loss.

“Awww~ it’s okay.” Nako patted her sweaty back. “At least you’re not last.”

“Sweet…” Sakura wheezed as she drank something from a bottle.

“, Sakura! That’s MY water bottle!”

“If if was your bottle, would you write ‘I love Minju’ at the bottom, Chaewon?”

Sakura continued as the bottom was seen, making Chaewon take her bottle to refill it.

“Let’s go together, Chaewon~” Minju chanted while holding her arm.

The classes cooed and Chaewon came with Minju with her tomato face.

Subjectively, physical education builds self-confidence and improves our perception with every situation we face. The participation in various physical activities enable a student to perceive a positive influence with others and to improve skills undergoing various situations with many persons of different backgrounds. It also enables us to be aware of empathy as there are certain people who can’t do such activities because of underlying conditions, thus enabling awareness and understanding that one must take care of one’s health.

“. Thank God it didn’t drop.” A classmate spoke as she handed some towards Yena. “Want the rest of this cake?”

“Pass, Hyewon.” Yena spoke as she drank water.

Hyewon shrugged as she ate the cake. Yena watched her eat during a break as she reverted to some classmates enjoying the games.

“I prefer buttercream cake.”

“Well, I prefer it with candy shaped like bunnies on top of it, Wonyoung,” said Hyewon.

A baseball hits Wonyoung’s head and one of them got up and said, “Who hits my bunny?!”

“I did it, Yujin.” A hamster raised. “I wanted to hit Yena but my hand wasn’t good at throwing.”

“Hey, Yuri. Come here.” Yena motioned her to come.

Yuri nodded, stopped to calm Yujin and apologize to Wonyoung, and sat by Yena’s side…

…only to get a pinch on the cheek.

“You could’ve called.” Yena spoke.

“But I don’t want to.”

“Why?” The rest of their classmates asked.

“Because you never come over right away!” Yuri whined and got Yena’s hand off.

Yena said her apologies this time yet Yuri didn’t care and walked away. Yena chased her like a lost ducking as the rest sighed.

Physical education develops students’ competence and confidence to take part in a range of activities, whether inside or outside the school. Discovering what ones wants to do, how one wants to do, and why one wants to do it are the manifestations that question the capabilities and the will to do those capabilities. But through what physical education offers, one learns how to be practice and harness the capability in facing anything, no matter how intense a situation will be.

“Timeout can’t last forever!”

“Technically, this is slavery because we’re not getting paid.”

“When this is over, I’m gonna kick your asses.”

“No talking!” The leader reprimanded, leaving the Japanese trio to sulk and look at the wall again.

Eunbi sighed as Sakura, Nako, and Hitomi were having a timeout by facing the wall. They were punished for taking tennis too seriously, resulting in a whimpering bunny comforted by a puppy.

“I think I just pulled a hamstring.” Wonyoung hissed.

“Hey, Hitomi. You owe Wonyoung an apology for hitting the ball too hard which hit her knee.”

“Well you owe your parents after raising you.” Hitomi batted as the class reacted with a mic drop.

“I can see Chaewon’s bust.” Minju did binoculars.

“Stop staring at them, please…” Chaewon raised as Minju’s hands were inches to her bust.

“No.” Minju squeezed them and ran like Kermit the Frog, causing Chaewon to whine while chasing her.

“Hey, guys! I would be sharing lunch with y’all if you didn’t pack old meals.”

“Then go and eat yourself, Hyewon.” Eunbi deflected her ball and threw it back at her.

“Guys. I never thought our mascot was a bottom.” Nako realized during her timeout. “And by the way, Yuri…when will you invite us to your party?”

“When you give me a gift that’s not bird-themed.” Yuri replied with a peace sign.

Eunbi called the timeout up and Nako got a baseball, throwing it at Yuri.

“I wasn’t ready!” She squeaked.

“Yuri, come and sit with me.” Yena motioned her to come again. “I’ll heal it with a kiss.”

The rest reacted yet Yuri was obliged and whipped for the latter.  Chaewon and Minju got tired of their goose chase and got closer, panting like crazy.

“You look like ,” said Yena. “No wonder you’re weak at long jumps.”

“Yeah. I’m also mad. You wanna see my bust?” Chaewon snapped. “And I’m not weak at long jumps!”

“I would.” Minju raised before being nudged by Eunbi.

“Timeout.” Eunbi nudged the frog again.

“MINJU GA DDO~” Everyone chanted, even Chaewon.

“When I return, I’ll say this is child abuse.” Minju mumbled and went to the corner.

It is clear that physical education plays a key role in the development of a student life. There are various factors that should be considered in the development of sports activities. One of these is the age of the student. It is important for a physical educator to help learners make the right choice of physical activities either now or in the future. Therefore, there are some good reasons for why physical education should be incorporated into the school’s curriculum.

“Why do men have lockers and we don’t?” Sakura asked.

“We may not have one but at least we’re not .” Hyewon grinned.

Chaeyeon got called and she tripped. She ranted towards the culprits and they ran like as her squad helped her up. Nonetheless, the feather walked like normal.

“Stop, look, listen…look, listen, and learn.”

They face-palmed of her words yet they did the Woah together before going home like Tom with his feeling friends after a tired day.

Physical education wasn’t just a subject to brute and brawns. It was also a subject of craziness, laughter, and random that may look unusual but it brings happiness to many.

This is what the twelve friends thought of its importance and they’ll carry it on.
